Great video. They didn't hang about clearing the line for those passenger trains at the end, what a busy line. It would be great to see a walk round video of some of the on track plant, what they do and how. I noticed the mobile maintenance train had a "tail lift" side mounted, what was hiding in there, general equipment, or even a mini digger? Fascinating stuff and well produced, excellent!
@Rabchog am glad you enjoyed the video I am working on a more detailed one of the machines we use in Anglia but there is one on my channel already that gives you a basic explanation of what it does
@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck I've seen your video of the tamper working, another great video showing it in action. A few years ago I used to go to Whitemoor yard to deliver sand and pick up recycled ballast, I worked for Frimstone at the time. The High Output Ballast Cleaner was sometimes there, with it's self loading and unloading wagon sets. Also a Flash Butt Welder, which I believe is no longer used.
@Rochog I've not been up to Whitemoor Yard yet but I think I've got to move a machine to March in a couple of weeks so I will be looking to capture that and am currently waiting to see if there is going to be a change in tamping machines we currently use in Anglia before I make a detailed video on them
Yes we ended up being in the way as we was meant to stay on the Electric's down to Gidea Park and then turn back but we was crossed over onto the mains early
@martyn6792 I don't know just now as I have just started to route learn part of this route and I've not been involved in any of the renewal work there as well
Going in. It's part of the package of work for Cambridge South station; it will provide an extra route, allowing an up train to depart platform 8 while a down train is arriving at platform 7. I think it will be commissioned over the Christmas / New Year period.
First time I've watched your cab rides really enjoyed it, The one thing I would like to know is why you blurred a section of track around 1hour 50 after Manor Park, take care 😊
It's the only place to put us out the way to let the passenger trains pass us as the machine can only do 60 Mph and while we are on the Down Electric we are limited to 40 Mph so by putting us there he could run a Norwich and Southend past us on the main, then he put us back across as it was the fastest way to get rid of us
It's great to see routes that other cab videos rarely cover, likewise I enjoy the time lapse sequences when you're 'looped'.
@kevinellis8869 glad you enjoyed the video hopefully I have more good content to come
Thanks for the videos, loving the content as it’s local to me 👍 keep ‘em coming
Glad you enjoyed them 👍
Great ride, very interesting from Temple Mills to Stratford, a route learners paradise with the complex of differing options.
@rickmeyrick4357 Thank you for watching. I am thinking about doing a short video of just Temple Mills to Stratford and have more information in it.
Thanks once again. Very fine video.
Thank you very much
Thanks for this cab ride. Lots of interesting stuff to see along with the usual maze of trackage. Cheers from Wisconsin!
@andrewpalm2103 Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching
Thanks, and thanks for leaving in the stop signal bits but speeded up :)
@jez8209 thank you very much it is appreciated and I will be doing that with all my new videos
Another Great Video Again Love these keep them coming
@deltic1964 Will do thanks for watching!
Just found your channle. GREAT stuff
Glad you enjoy them and thank you
Excellent - thank you.

At the end, those two passenger trains were really quite close!

Shame can't see Romford Sidings from Romford Station. Great see from rail track
Another great video which is the station for saffron Walden?
@GordonShuffell I Believe Audley End is the closet station to there
Did you notice the 1527 sign by where you stopped in the Great Chesterford goods loop had come adrift and was hanging upside down?
@geoff1201 Good spot, I missed that as I was too busy concentrating on the red signal and my stopping point before it.
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ckA SPUD (sign passed upside down) is much less of a problem than a SPAD.
@@geoff1201 That is very true
The crossover on the left hand side at 6:12 is that going in or coming out Ballast looks fresh

Who’s the keeper didn’t save one😂
@nigel8247 I was probably talking about a newcastle match 🤣

Thank you for watching, unfortunately it was someone's dog that was on the track and I didn't think it was appropriate to show
Agree@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck
The construction site at Cambridge South hardly a hive of activity! But then it's probably "Notwork Rail" (sic) we're dealing with here 😂😂.
@johnpinfold4413 Not to take anything from your great pun Notwork Rail👌but I believe it is Murphy & Sons who are in charge of construction there
What was the purpose of changing you from down main to down electric and then back again at Ilford depot?
It's the only place to put us out the way to let the passenger trains pass us as the machine can only do 60 Mph and while we are on the Down Electric we are limited to 40 Mph so by putting us there he could run a Norwich and Southend past us on the main, then he put us back across as it was the fastest way to get rid of us
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck OK - a sort of ersatz passing loop.
@@geoff1201 yes there is one each side of the Ilford flyover
