This was really really helpful. I have a 6 year old daughter and having lack of elementary schools as part of the cons is quite significant in making the decision where I should consider living.
You’re welcome. The NW has some amazing schools so don’t count it out. Many new areas, across the whole city, have a lack of schools so look for that if you’re wanting something brand new.
Sandstone Valley is another amazing community in the NW. A smaller Community but has all the pros that you mentioned plus 2 elementary schools and very close to Nosehill Park as well. Also, it's15 minutes to the Jubilee on 14th! 😁
Awesome info! Hi Guys, we recently rcvd our PR & have decided to move to Calgary this April'23 from Dubai and we' re confused as to which place/community to move - north west or the south west on rental basis. We prefer a place with easy access to a hospital, good elementary school for our daughter, grocery/department stores, metro connection and a good family community. Few months later we plan to purchase property there. We'd be really grateful if you and fellow subscribers could advise us.
It may be best to chat and help come up with a plan. Can you grab a time to do a call here? calendly.com/chamberlain-real-estate-group/15-min-call or you can email info@chamberlaingroup.ca too.
Hi, just wondering, I’m not a huge fan of suburban areas. I’d rather live in the country and commute further. On google earth, there only seems to be huge properties that are located Rocky Ridge Road, Bearspaw Road etc… Im from the UK so you can find smaller affordable places tucked in the countryside… Is this more of a rarity in / around Calgary?
Thanks for watching and commenting. There are options, but not in what you’re thinking is my gut. It depends on your budget, how far you’re open to driving and more. If you’re looking for something and planning a move here let’s get a strategy started for you! www.chamberlaingroup.ca/contact/
I've been watching your videos lately, and they've been really insightful! I'm planning to purchase a pre-construction 1.5 or 2bed condo/townhome up in NW or N Calgary. Is there a cycle/season in which new preconstructions get announced? I'm trying to purchase from Ontario for what it's worth. I've been looking for the last two weeks and it seems like most developments are already sold out or upselling on the last few units available that don't seem very valuable. Was hoping spring will come with more new announcements for preconstructions.
Hi there, You guys are cool. Thanks for your explanation . In the current market can I buy a detached home min 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom , double garage in NW for 450,000? Or cost more? Is it possible with 5% down payment? Vic
Depends on the area, but many detached homes are going for much more than that now. Here's why... th-cam.com/video/eiEkSNMhV5E/w-d-xo.html If you want to chat more and know exactly what you can afford and purchase, then let's chat! info@chamberlaingroup.ca
Great question. SAIT has been focused more on trades than U of C over the years and not are very revered for their quality of schooling. Here is a quick search than can help you get started www.google.com/search?q=sait+vs+university+of+calgary&rlz=1CDGOYI_enCA677US677&oq=sait+vs+u&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0i512j0i390.4469j0j4&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
@@ChamberlainGroup Thank you for the search ! HELPFUL 👍 however did you say NOT revered or did you say that they are good ? Also it seems for MBA then a Univ would be better and SAIT perhaps would be eligible to give an eligible work permit upon completion .. .. well I'll try and search more too

@@ChamberlainGroup I am considering Alpine Park, as you suggested this was one of the best new communities...

You missed one slight point, its home to the best community in the city, Hamptons
How’d we do that!!! Very valid point indeed.
It costs money to pump water uphill and man-made lakes need a lot of water
Pro: closest to the mountains, McMahon stadium, Foothills and Children's hospitals
YES! 🙌 all great pros!
