    LOOKS GOOD! I put 1.5inch spacers and exactly looks like same.
    I'm lx470 ,2000, owner and live in Springville. Glad to see you here!

    Looks good. I think I have the same spacers as you. I wouldn't recommend using the loc-tite stuff. I'm repeatedly tearing my hubs apart for maintenance and replacing misc parts and it's annoying breaking the loc-tite, cleaning it up, and re-sealing, potentially damaging the threads. I do 85 ft/lbs on the spacers and 97 on the wheels. Been running this for 1+ years with moderate to heavy off-roading FWIW.

    Looks Good!! A lot better than stock

    You need longer studs for more thread engagement. Use Dorman # 610-463. They will sit just below the face of the spacer.

      I’ll consider it. But to change all 20 studs is quite the undertaking. So far she’s handled several thousand miles, and down to Baja and back. So far so good. Maybe once they start breaking I’ll get to replacing em! 😬
      You remember of the rears can just be banged out without removal of the whole axle/bearing assy?

    Do you remember what you used to paint the flange and dust cover on the hubs?

      Nothing special. Probably Krylon or Rustoleum.

    Have you had to take the spacer off yet? How difficult was it to remove the loctile? I have heard that red ones involved heat when it comes to removing them?

      I have taken all of them off and back on before. This little of loctite is not a problem. If you completely coat bolts inside and out and fill the holes with it then yes, you’ll have a hard time.
      The red hardens just a bit harder than the blue. If you apply it correctly, and conservatively it’ll do it’s job just fine which is just to provide resistance against vibrations. At least that’s how I use it and my understanding of it.

    Would you mind sharing the link to the spacers you purchased?

    You are torquing them all wrong, using a impact with give different variations. Also slee off-road makes a machined set of spacers that are are a perfect fit for the 100 cruiser

    • @AdventureTEQ
      @AdventureTEQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The impact gun is a tool to save time. It spinnymathings them on quickly and gently, and then you follow up with a proper torque wrenching. 😉
      Or you could try to turn 20 lug nuts one by one with a torque wrench until each one is tight. 🤣😂
      And I am aware of those Slee spacers. They’re probably a bit higher quality than these here. 👍🏻

    Your mad putting Loctite on your wheel studs

    • @AdventureTEQ
      @AdventureTEQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it’s not for the wheel lug nuts! 🤣😂 It’s for the ones you don’t want coming off! And I’ve had to pull them off already and that little dab of Loctite does little more than keep them from vibrating loose. Zactly what it’s intended to do! Now for the wheel lug nuts… sure, only a dingus would Loctite his wheels on! LMAO!

      Instructions from Spidertrax, sold by Slee, state to dab loctite on the original studs that the new bolts go onto. They're not for the lug nuts.

    Lost some cred when you have drilled rotors :/

      Um. Im going to need to see what credentials you have to be issuing out “cred” to the likes of a fella such as me! 😆🤣😁
      But funny comment nonetheless. 😄 Cheers mate! 🍻

      I track a built GT-R with over 800hp. Tracked several other lesser hp built cars also. Drilled rotors are prone to cracking over time and the main reason they exist is to help cool down rotors over hard braking. You will not be doing any type of braking in your LC generating heat anywhere near the need of drilled rotors. You're essentially just opening an area of potential premature failure for the cool aesthetics (aesthetics only because as mentioned earlier you will not get any benefit from them heat wise).
      It's not a smart choice.
