Virgil is like watching Buddy Rich, it numbs me out to a certain degree. We are so lucky to have Virgil Donati alive! We must appreciate these great artists before the pass away! I also suspect that there was no room for Virgil's creativity in DT, and he would soon begin to feel that limit in his creativity. Virgil may work best in spaces where he imposes the limit. More I would like to see Virgil in a band like Flying Color, and to work in a more minimalist way in the arrangements.
Virgil is a super human. Talk about complex time signatures.... I gotta say that this is complexity for complexities sake. But it's great to see the upper limits of human potential.
