this has got to be one of the best ending montages in television history. I honestly didn't know Steven Zaillian before, but after this work of art in motion picture I am all in. This for me is the most beautifully breathtaking series, and especially ending montages, in television history
You should watch "The Night Of", from HBO! Besides Andrew as a lead in this, Zaillian's work in that other series was what brought me to watch Ripley. And I loved it.
@@Kunstmann_Film Episode 5 is called "Lucio", after the cat. One of the characters, the landlady I think, called the cat "Lucio" once, but it was easy to miss.

You've probably seen his work before without realising it. He wrote the screenplay for Schindler's List.
@@bonnacon1610 Also, The Irishman.
The cat was the real star of that show.
She ate the evidence ;)
A really majestic beast.
@@Kunstmann_Film The cat was male. It was called Lucio.
@@ABC_DEF In German Cats are female by default (die Katze) I didn't catch the name. Thanks for clearing that up :)

I'm not sure if I prefer the more colourful, campy The Talented Mr. Ripley or the much darker, colder Ripley, but this ending was fantastic.
I love the ending
👮🏻♂️: Spell It !
Nice pen!
Bella penna!
This ending reminds me of The Usual Suspects!
Me too - it’s on a par with it.
This final scene reminds me of the final scene of Saltburn
Well saltburn did kinda copy ripley sooo…
Cette fin est exceptionnelle, sidérant de talent !
ROMA IMOLA PALERMO LIVORNO Y 🥰
Let me finish ... E, empoli, Y, ypsilon. :) Ripley is well worth watching.
Nice editing
He investigated Greenleaf's disappearance, but didn't know what he looked like?!
Did you watch the show?
@@Naberius359 Yes, I watched it. Can you explain the ending? Maybe I'm missing something.
@@johnnyotto3610yeah, he didn’t. this is before everybody had smartphones, ya know

Non of the visual adaptions seem able to capture the fun of the Highsmith novel.
Great show, just that non-binary character and african american private detective.
What non binary characther?
@@natonews2151 Eliot Sumner as Freddie Miles, hello!
@@19n05k83 When did they say he was non binary? And whats wrong with the Black detective?
@@natonews2151 It's a woman playing male character.
I doubt there were black private detectives in late 50s and early 60s. C'mon.
@@natonews2151 Some people are so boring and full of hate that they only tolerate those that look like themselves.
