I would definitely go out as often as you can and train with your belt. Only then will you find out what you really need and don't need. For instance I used to run a fixed blade knife on my belt until I realized a multitool was a thousand times more useful. Also found out that my dump pouch is the most handy item on my belt. On range/training days I use that dump pouch for almost everything: spent mags, shot timer, markers, phone, water bottle, snacks.....I even put a bearded dragon in there that I found one day while training in the desert I kid you not! I highly recommend getting the small bungee strap from T.Rex Arms for your dump pouch as it eliminates the flopping around when running...another thing you realize only from training with your belt. Recently switch belts. I'll be making a vid so on that one. I agree. So far I haven't changed anything up except a new ifak and added a small dump Pouch. Mainly just for range shooting.
