Really like your setup overall there! The conveyor is really gonna work great! Thanks for having us over to your woodyard on this day! Really love the channel thus far and will be getting up to speed shortly with all your vids! 😊. Take care! Andrew from NB, Canada :)
Your channel is growing and growing from the looks of it. I’m glad to see that! Great video and that looks to be a handy and neat piece of equipment. That should really help out with your production rate. Two great helpers too! You all are doing a fine job.

I would have been hard pressed to figure out how to mount that bad boy without the frame they normally come with, wheels for toting and all. The wees look happy and healthy, soaking up all that sunshine and fresh air. Ours unfortunately got sold away from the place and I’m looking forward one myself. Reno
😂😂. It works well with my super splitter, it would have trouble keeping up with a big commercial splitter though. Appreciate your time watching and commenting!!
Very nice. I like how you hinged it. You may even be able to mount a small gas engine under it to run it instead the electric motor. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see it in operation with the super splitter. You want have to cut up the totes anymore.
Thats an awesome idea! An elevator is on my short list for sure. Right now I just split into a IBC tote or dump trailer and with two people it goes fast but the elevator would be an awesome addition!
Thanks man!! Yeah, I’m pretty happy with it. I’m working on raising the electric motor mount now. It’s just a little too close but other than that I think it’ll work out good for me. Appreciate you watching!!
You ain't wrong, that conveyor is awesome. I've been looking for one myself but there's nothing about here in the UK 🇬🇧 go figure. So I may have to build one in time. Great job buddy 👏
Appreciate your continued support & kind comments. I’m sure you’ll come across something one day. I found a few options on Facebook marketplace but they were too far from me or too expensive. I think an old hay elevator might work nicely.
@@TwinCityFirewood true story: In 2011, neighbor had a 30 foot one stored up in top of his old barn and said I could have it. As we went up into the loft to get it, he warned me to be careful because the floor was soft. It was at that exact moment my right foot caved the floor in and only the joist below kept me from tumbling down below. Unfortunately, the abrupt halt to my decent against the hard oak joist broke my right leg. Sadder still, I had to drive my old stick-shift 1 ton back home. On the way down he asked if I still wanted the elevator - I said, “You can keep it!” 😆. I should have gone back for it but never did.
Appreciate ya Dave!! It works pretty good with my super splitter. I don’t it would keep up with a splitter that pushes out multiple pieces of wood at a time. Thanks again!
I've converted a bunch of hay and grain elevators to firewood use. To slow yours down more you can replace the inside pulley that drives last pulley with a smaller diameter one. A 3 or 4" should fit there easily. I also convert them to gas engines. I sometimes direct drive them or use a clutch and belt. Engine just needs to run above an idle just enough to engage the clutch. You could just make brackets off the existing mounts and hang it under the conveyor instead of over the top. Grain elevators would much better than hay elevators which have tall flights on them. They are handy for sure.
Cool!! Yessir, that inside pulley your referring to is 4”. I may try a 3” sometime. And since this video I have mounted the motor underneath. Works much better. I am having trouble with the chain slipping off though. I tightened it up quite a bit to see if that helps. Many thanks for watching & your helpful comment!!!
I have 12 foot narrow corn elevator brand name is little giant I had around 5 years. I tried one that we use for hey and the wood would get pulled in at the top by the paddle and jam it up so you good choice on the narrow elevator. Take care of your all stars
Nice conveyor setup you’ve got there 👌🏻 compact and all together. I’m from East TN and just found your channel and subscribed. What part of TN are you from?
I have a very similar conveyor I just picked up at an auction. I was wondering how you attached the board to the bottom. I wanted to do that but was concerned the chain and paddles might catch on any fasteners that may stick thru. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I like the channel and have just subscribed.
Appreciate you watching & subscribing! I mounted a 2x8 to the bottom of the conveyor then used conduit or pvc straps to go around the bar of the ibc tote then screwed to the 2x8 board. It allows me to move the conveyor around in the 2 different positions. Hope this helps.
Thanks but I was wondering how you attached the 2x8 to the bottom on the conveyor. My concern was that the chain and paddles might hit any protruding fasteners
Gotcha. On the top of the conveyor under where the chain slides there is a couple of removable plates. I drilled a few small holes in the corner where there is a slight recess away from the paddles, then I screwed the conveyor to the board. I rolled the chain by hand to make sure nothing would interfere & it seems to work fine.
I’ve been looking for one of those myself. My only concern is how low the motor is. If you have multiple pieces of wood in one spot going up the conveyor they could possibly get caught on it. Would be a easy fix though. Will be watching to see how it goes. Take care!👍🏻
Yessir. Your exactly right. That’s something I will have to come up with. I need to raise the mounts but keep the belt tension adjustment too. Shouldn’t be too hard. Thanks for watching & commenting!

That conveyor will get used more than you know. Great job getting it running with a generator and an electric motor. 👍👍
That’s what I’m hoping. I don’t have electricity at my barn. I use solar & that little generator. Works fine for me. Thanks for commenting

I'm gessing that's a 3,600rpm motor.
A 1,800rpm would probably be better suited.
That's the 2 common speeds.
It’s a 3/4 hp 1800 rpm. Thanks for watching!!
@Twin City Firewood wow really didn't think it was, cause IT'S really moven. LOL
It definitely is. I put a 1.75” pulley on the driver pulley to slow it down as much as I could without replacing the other pulleys.
