    I tried finding other actual real life use with this conveyor but couldn't find any, only the company videos. I hope you get to demo it for a while to really show its capabilities. What an excellent opportunity for that company, but now we don't get to see you struggling with the green bean.

      Elliott and Jake, Lots of rental places have these for digging out basements. I rent stuff from Sunbelt and they have them. Also used to move materials into a back yard for swimming pool builds with no back yard access. I would just use the supplied stand just have your welder buddy make up some longer arms for the top of it. Looks like it will work good for your operation.

    The quiet is a big plus!!

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      For now we have to leave it stock but they are well aware that the “stand” needs changing for the firewood market. Pretty simple fix in the grand scheme of things!

  • @dougdinsmore9751
    @dougdinsmore9751 ปีที่แล้ว

    Congratulations Jake, this is what you have needed. Like someone else said, just fabricate extensions for the stand to gain more height at the head drum. For your safety I would only use the stand at the top one-third of the conveyor. If you were conveying heavy wood with nothing behind it, I can see it getting light at the bottom.
    Would be nice if they just gave it to you…🤣.

      A stand with wheels would be a good idea too.

  • @scrhino40

    If you get another 1 you can used it to take the wood waste away from under the grizzly bars and a 3 for putting rounds on to bring to wood splitter and stop the belt as you advance it to next wood round to split. The idea's you can come up with to make the job easier to do. Have a great day be safe.

    Don’t remember if your stand is pinned so you can take your cross piece and insert it through the forklift slots to stabilize it in 2 different heights. Maybe that will help adjusting it up and down along with adjusting your stand itself up and down. It’s a possibility

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I’m understanding you correctly I don’t think I can do that. The stand is adjustable up and down but I wouldn’t be able to get the cross piece through the fork holes as it is welded to the vertical legs.

  • @carlgrayman7663
    @carlgrayman7663 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hang the upper end off of the roof of your building with some cables, chains or even rigid with some tubing or angle iron, build a stand to raise the lower end up 18" or so. This will give you plenty of clearance for the trailer and eliminate a stand in the front that's just going to get in the way. It will also lessen the angle needed and you'll be able to center the conveyor over the middle of the trailer.

    • @carlgrayman7663
      @carlgrayman7663 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they're serious about getting into the firwood market they're gonna design a new stand anyway. Probably something like a farming grain auger with wheels in the middle so it's easy to move with a tractor or side by side.
