Spot on review - assembly was a nightmare. I still need to tune the rear gears and back brake. Also think the handlebars are crooked but what throws you off is that the front basket is attached to the frame and not the steering column. Never figured out how to put the back basket together, so I used black zip ties instead of the metal strips. Also the display could be brighter but I have a feeling there is a protective film on it, but the Florida heat appears to have welded it on. Love the ride and my fire engine red color. Yes I have had to bend the rear fenders to prevent them from rubbing against the rear wheels. A trick to be aware of, attach the rear fenders before putting the rear wheels on. If you follow the manual you will be dropping the bolts. I probably would buy the fat tire trike again, note their leading competitor's outsourced customer service is terrible.
Hey! So in this video I was using an insta 360 X3 for those shots. On the next video after this one it fell off my handlebars and broke. So now I have a DJI Action 4. But I miss my 360 camera for those shots for sure.
I have a purple Mooncool regular non-electric tricycle that took me a week to finally assemble! I had a hard time with the instructions so I ended up watching as many videos as possible. I zip tied the rear basket too and have to keep adjusting the rear fenders so the tires don't rub on them. Anybody know the proper PSI for Mooncool tires? They look like knobby MTB tires. 😮 The wheels seem out of true! I adjusted the front and rear brake quite a bit also. All in all my Grape Purple Mooncool trike is cute as can be and I am finally getting the hang of riding it. 💜
I don't know about you but Mt tk1 came almost completely assembled. I only had to attach the front wheel the front basket head light, and rear fenders. So unlike you I didn't have to assemble the entire trike. The fenders were a bit to get on but other than that it was pretty simple. So as far as the worst e trike, I don't know other trikes or bike come or how much assembly was required but our were pretty simple and are blast to ride.
Hey, thanks for your comment. Yeah mine was completely disassembled. The frame was in 2 pieces so I had to attach the rear of the frame to the front portion, install the derailleur and adjust it which was such a pain, put all 3 fenders on, assemble the basket, put the lights on, attach the handlebars and more. It was such a pain in the butt. I heard they have another one that is like you said 80% put together and I asked them why they didn't send me that one. They said they would if I took my video down but I told them no. I said why didn't you send that one in the first place? They said they still send the ones you have to put together to customers so I said I would be lying if I took the video down and put up the one with easier assembly. I'm not going to lie just to make them look better. They weren't too happy about that.. lol. I'm glad yours was easier to assemble and you like it!
@@HobartsReviews well it’s his hobby, he has been buying old electric bikes and rebuilding them. I just wanted a brand new one. Getting kinda nervous though with all the Facebook page comments about serious issues.
Thank you for the honest review! I was on the fence about this one but thanks to ur review I’m gonna pass on this one. The assembly or lack of was the deal breaker for me.
Haha... I wear one always when I'm not filming it's. I only had a full face motorcycle helmet and that's kind of hard to record with a microphone with that on. So for filming sometimes I go without a helmet so that that you can hear me clearly. But I know I know I know safety first. I totally agree haha.
Just got one from my kids, In 66rys old, and it took me 3 1/2 hours to put together, it is a blast !!
Awesome! Glad you like it! Have fun!

Thanks so much! I agree with everything you said. Also glad I'm not the only one.. haha 👍
Hey Hobart! What camera do you use for the third party shots?

Yeah it was definitely a pain in the butt to assemble and still wasn't quite right.

Thanks for the honest review!
No Problem! Thanks for watching!
My husband put mine together easily. But I would have had a hard time doing it myself. I used tie straps for back basket, worked well.
I'm sure that's what he told you LOL. But I'm glad you got it together and it works well.

No problem! Gotta be honest and this one I would not recommend until they get their assembly figured out. I thought the Addmotor was really nice.
The foldable version is 95% assembled - I saw another video about that
my neighbor bought one of these, he is 77. the front wheel broke on his first ride, then the brakes stopped working
Yeah I would get one from Addmotor instead. Have them return it and look at Addmotor.
The folding unit! 95% assembled.
Yep! They messed up with this one...
Wish someone would give a good demonstration of engaging the battery & changing gears.
What do you mean?
Doesn't have much power going up lil hills?
It's ok but I think Addmotor trike was stronger.
does it back up/ have a reverse to back up?
No
The folding one comes mostly assembled
Yeah I wonder why they didn't send this one that way? Huge deal breaker
as someone who took a tumble and cracked my head open - where the hell is your helmet😄

Wow! I can't believe they ship it like that!
Yeah me either. It seriously was 8 hours of frustration getting this thing assembled and tuned right.
Not sure about an evtrike if they dont like hills!
It depends on the trike. This one is much better th-cam.com/video/hCvDHT-u8pk/w-d-xo.html
Why does it look like his bike is going side ways on here and he's going straight
Because I have a camera to the side of me filming me ride straight.
Whiner!
Thanks!
