Wow what a great etrike. Very stable for having big 24 inch tire on the front and 20 inch on the back. Long range if you get the two battery option. Nice and slow in PAS 1 for anyone that is nervous about etrikes. Get all the details at HJMBike.com - hjmbike.com/pr...

Great demonstration Richard. Of all your trikes, is this your very favorite right now?
If I ever buy a three wheeler it would be this one. I saw another brand of bike that actually had NO parking brakes! ( That would be a whole lot of fun on my sloped driveway).This one has TWO parking brakes. Also, HJM should come out with a 3 wheel drive version that could go in sand and then market it with a clever, well thought out name: The Beach Baby. They could sell thousands in short order.

Wow. Your channel is great. I am in the market for an e-bike for my wife. We recently traveled to Ocean City, Md for a little vacation. And all you saw on the boards were e-bikes. And I could see in her eyes that she wanted one. I purchased an Aventon Level 3 some years ago and she wasn't really interested in it. But that all changed. And at her age a trike makes better safety sense. I couldn't make up my mind as to which one to get for her. Mooncool, Addmotor, Bison, Lectric, etc. Made my head spin. Then, I found your channel, (first vid I saw was on Addmotor and thought I was sold). But decided to go through your vids. Some of the trikes checked some of the boxes, and some others checked different boxes. But none of them checked all the boxes until this HJM. I am definitely getting her this one for a Christmas gift. I just have to find someplace to hide it until then and is probably smart to get it now before the rush. I know that I will be getting one for myself too later. Thanks again. Sorry for the length of this comment. The excitement made me do it...🤭
Really comes across as a car replacement. Looks super sturdy. One of the selling points of Lectric is they're shipped fully assembled. Nice to see other companies doing that, or close to that.
Wat would be nice is a version that uses both the front hub and the rear motor in the "upgraded" version for an offroad/trail/beach capable version
Ordered the pro model supposed to be delivered next Wednesday. Cannot wait to see how it does.

As much as i love this it is off my list. That is because of how i will use it, strict canadian ebike laws, motor size and even bigger on the rear wheal drive.... and price. I HAVE to have a motor 500w or less. I am not at any point going to get a motor size that can get me a $500 ticket. (I am going to turn one into a ebike / mobility scooter. That means i have to fit into 2 sets of standards.
Thank you. I have been looking all over for a review like this. I lost my license due to medical reasons and have been looking at one of these on and off for me and my fiancee.
Same for me - I have a rare movement disorder and my neurologist and the state said I can’t drive anymore. I moved to be closer to my adult kids for essential rides and just bought this same trike in orange. Everything I need is within three or four miles of my house. Big changes for us both.

Nice trike, nice review. BUT at 100 lbs., The Perfect eTrike For Seniors? For some maybe, but likely not for most.
Also, IMHO, too many inexperienced riders will be tempted to ride at faster speeds than they should, not understanding how dangerous higher speeds on these type of trikes can be.
The 1000 watt rear motor is illegal by federal law for an ebike. I believe that 750 watts is the limit for bikes. Check out the federal laws. Most states are inline with the federal law - limiting ebikes to 750 watts. There may be a few states with exceptions.
Are you gonna narc? Food for thought, I guess, but I might buy one and remove any indication of the motor rating and then lie about it.

Ive taken a peek at the pro & a mid hub drive is better. [but 1k watts!?!]
hope its not the speed hub. I like low torque, the high speeds top arent my thing.

What is your opinion of the cadence sensor vs. the torque sensor? Trying to decide which bike is the best fit for me, the HJM TriHauler or TriHauler Pro.
That is a really good looking trike. I am glad to learn about it. The parking brake is a great feature. Turn signals, wow.
Very nice and sturdy looking trike
Have been looking at these trikes for awhile now. It checks all the marks that I've been looking for, except one thing. Communication. Have you had any luck contacting HJM? I've tried a couple of time and no response. That is rather concerning.
NO REVERSE! I like the idea of these but the idea of having to manually push the bike backwards could be very difficult for me.

Front motor is a no go.
Why
I like the idea of manual gears, and a front hub adds an element of AWD, but can pull you over quick if you're not careful.
Do not buy an HJM. Terrible service.
