It really forces you to deal with your own personal demons and talk about it so you can really show up for yourself and your relationships. You can't bottle feelings up and if you're going to be your honest self with your partner or partners. Practicing polyamory is what lead me to my intentionally monogamous relationship. The key part being that it's intentional, not default.

Yes! I'm glad you figured out what was right for you and continued forward with intention and awareness. The greatest benefit of poly, to me, isn't having multiple partners, it's challenging the assumptions YOU bring into your relationships. Often assumptions that do a disservice to who you're with more even than to yourself. Challenging these assumptions, becoming aware of things you had been taking for granted, helps you, your relationship, and who you're with. It helps you be a better partner. I believe this is why trying poly or even considering it or getting exposed to it has improved the monogamous relationships of so many people in my life.

It can be really hard to manage and a look at any given polyamory fb page or subreddit will show how many people have trouble with it. That being said it normally comes down to a commitment to talk it out and find an approach that either fits all needs or you change the dynamic until all needs are met. It's also a commitment to being responsible to yourself and acknowledging when a dynamic isn't healthy or doesn't work for you. At the end of the day everyone has needs, if they aren't all met then its not a sustainable relationship and normally ends or changes until it is sustainable. There is also the concept of bandwidth that gets talked about a lot. Some people can handle a lot and others can handle 1 or 2 at most. Mostly it all just depends on the people involved and approaching it with an open mind lol

I can't with all this. Call it whatever you like. God did not mean for us to spread our "seeds" across the world, for lack of a better description. Does anyone worry about catching anything? I really don't care what people do behind closed doors but I don't want their choices to live like that to be shoved down my throat and tell me I have to except it and my children/grandchildren have to accept it or we become racist or homophopic. That is simply not true. If our world could get back to morals and values instead of there being no limits to what is exceptable, maybe our world would be a better place and we could have a little more peace.
