The very worst part of all of this is that she will not ever realise she was wrong, and will rant to her friends about this "idiot rude cyclist" who so upset her children with their actions - thereby entrenching more negative views of cyclists in general. “Nothing in the law or the Highway Code which says I have to get out of your way” . Not quite : drivers of slower moving vehicles which are holding up faster moving traffic should , when the opportunity presents , move over or stop to allow faster traffic to pass ; this usually applies to slow moving vehicles such as tractors , vehicles towing caravans or trailers , HGVs which are restricted to lower speeds than other vehicles , or indeed pedal cyclists . It is only courtesy to not inconvenience other road users ; equally it is incumbent on the driver of the following vehicle to exercise a little patience until a suitable opportunity to pass safely presents , or for a suitable opening presents where the cyclist can pull in for a moment . While I both drive and cycle , thus can see both perspectives, therefore extend courtesy both ways , sadly there are some persons on bikes who are completely ignorant and wilfully obstruct other road users out of pure badness : like the pair of Lycra clad fatties I encountered a number of years ago who , for almost five miles on a narrow country road flatly refused to drop into single file to allow me to pass while they waddled along at approx 10mph . They moved over for oncoming traffic then pulled back out to obstruct me when they could , and should, have given me the same space to pass as they did to oncoming traffic . Most cyclists are reasonably well behaved , just as there are good and bad drivers ,but ones such as these give all cyclists a bad name by association.

We were two up on an old east-block motorcycle (32 hP at best and being driven sedately) that could barely manage half the speed of her big German estate car. They all retreat when you stand firm. I didn't hear the engine until the overtake, Cyclists should be afforded a safe journey and should be courteous to other road users. This day would have been a lot better had she just carried on or the cyclist shown some courtesy, it's easy to put a foot down and let someone past, 10 seconds and they are gone! but we don't know because we don't see the start of the video, just a speeded up section with no sound, why is that? There may be nothing in the Highway Code requiring a cyclist to pull over, but I don't think riding within the law is a reason to show less consideration to the driver of a faster vehicle. While the car driver obviously handled the developing situation badly, the cyclist may also have shown poor judgement and missed opportunities to let her pass, because he felt "entitled" to hold the lane.

If a tractor, horse rider, cyclist, whatever is moving slowly in front of you then you have to accept that they are other road users who are just entitled to use the road as you are. That’s what the law says. If you are moving slowly it is courteous to pull over and let held up traffic pass but not until it is convenient to do so. I’m also a cyclist and also think the driver is an idiot but what you’ve said isn’t true.
The Highway Code section 133 explicitly instructs road users to give way to vehicles who want to overtake on single-track roads (the type of road this clip started on) in the same way they would give way to oncoming vehicles. To be clear: on single-track roads the faster vehicle has right of way. You have no right to obstruct a faster moving vehicle just because you’re in front of them.
The reason for this should be obvious but I’ll explain. Living and working in a rural area, far too often have I seen ignorant drivers monopolising single track roads and insisting as many as four cars wait behind them. Firstly this is very selfish but can also be dangerous when two of these queues meet each other or when an ambulance or fire engine needs to get past. This can force drivers to reverse around corners or force emergency vehicles to wait while the bottle neck is cleared - all because some drivers like you think their sense of entitlement is the same as the Highway Code.

So that they might know what the new requirements are . perhaps we could do a list of the most aggravating issues ? like parking on the pavement (unless it is stated as permitted by signage. Anyway thanks for the comment . appreciated. and or course correct in a lot of cases .

Makes me laugh how she is totally ignorant to the Highway Code and feels so entitled that everyone should do what she thinks and move out of here way,
She then stops on the road, on a bend of all places causing an obstruction when there was a clear gap prior which would have been a safer and more considerate place to stop.
Her own actions then start to distress her own children, who she was so concerned about, guess she’s not considering their feelings.
She then proceeds to stop another car going in the opposite direction to rant about the cyclist creating a total obstruction blocking the road in both directions with no consideration for other drivers or road users.
And then calls the police with her lame story of how rude this cyclist was “threatening” her in front of her children and it appears the police put her in her place, but again no consideration in wasting the polices time...
So from someone who started by saying the cyclist was in the wrong and how inconsiderate he was - I really think this lady needs to watch this clip and take a look in the mirror to realise what a contradictory, privileged, self cantered, horrible human being she actually is...
But she won’t, she will still think she is right and will be telling every poor sole all about it whether they want to listen or not, 🤷‍♂️
