Nice boat! I'm building a big tiller boat my self - did you manage to get away with a 25" transom or did you have to step up to a 30" transom to get the tiller high enough above the deck to use functionally?
Why wouldn't you just have a centre console? He's got that big live tank in the centre anyway, it's not a commercial vessel that requires the deck space for beg fesh bens ... The cost of importing that "beg teller", a centre console would be more practicable and far more user friendly for the young kids to operate.. Each to their own..
For anyone that knows a thing about aluminium fishing boats, this thing is a joke. I feel sorry for the owner he is one of those “no f@$king idea” type of guys
I don’t actually know anything about Aluminium boats as we don’t really have them in the UK, just RIBs and fibreglass boats. Can you explain what the issue is? Genuinely interested.
@@BR0SE1DON mishmash is just cranky, the only “problem” I can see is that for the same money you could a boat that is much better for rough weather, trolling and some other things. But the owner explained his priorities and he has the boat that does what he wants. Saying that it’s a bad choice is similar to saying that a soft top convertible car is bad.
@@BR0SE1DON for the money the guy paid there are 100x better options out there. The rod storage out front makes it an absolute pain to fish if your casting lures/baits etc. The hull design means coming home wet unless the water is like glass
the exact kinda guy id expect to own a 150 tiller 🤣
😂😏
This bloke knows what it’s all about. Great episode, love the big tiller.🤘
Did he say " SKILLITUN "😂😂😂
The steering and throttle response of a tiller is awesome. That is a big boat for 150hp but would still be good fun.
Wicked Hamish! Some much fun getting the kids out slaying it. Love our Kingfisher!
Awesome vid! Agree with tiller so cool!
He seems like a great guy and a fantastic father. Good on him!!
I’ve got a 5.25m Tiller steer tinnie and love it! Room for days! Wouldn’t have it any other way!

Cool boat. Love the open space
If he is happy, so am I. I hope he visits Trinidad, tiller heaven. We have 250 hp tillers on 36ft pangas here and its fairly common.
Madness, a 150 tiller! Looks like a great rig though!
Took a strange turn off the kick didn't it?
What a great fella & dad
There is a 175 Mercury Outboard Tiller in Far North Queensland Australia. Behind a 6 Meter Fibreglass Billfish Boat.
Come on out to the PNW. Guides regularly run 200 hp+ tillers on the Columbia. Still, great boat.
Those are right hand spinning reels in the US ? Handle is on left side but that the normal configuration for spinning gear
Have seen a couple of 150 tillers in Tassie. Pretty sure a diver down here had a 200 yammy on a tiller too.
150 tiller must be hard to control
Torque.

Each to their own..
@@jb243wp I went from a tiller to a kingfish centre console. It has its merits but tiller is better for hard core fishing
But why?
Why are you not wearing a kill cord?
Few people got an issue with the boat. At the end of the day why not!
Lads. 150 tiller is average. Chaos cat boys have run 250 2 stroke tillers for years on their 5.5m boats.
And they blow ya hair right back! Wicked boats!
My kind of man well done
A local legend in the fishing scene in Nz!!
Awesome !
Legend
A good father
Love this💪
How good 😂. What an absolute legend.
A cat on a hot tin roof
Hahah legend
Got nothing on the Americans who run mercury 250 v8 tillers 😂
All for ego.

Someone is a bit jelly I think.....
Are you paying for it? No so who cares about your opinion
