Love this boat , especially the Australian connection and respect to culture . We have learnt a lot from our nz counterparts in plate alloys and so so good to see an Aussie company putting their own stamp on design in a plate alloy . Can’t wait to inspect one for myself . A tough looking boat .
Great episode guys 👍🏻 You need to Keep finding more Down to earth legends like this, no bs about him, just a nice honest hand built boat, well done on the build mate! 👌
Having fished outta the side console version just after it was filmed and blessed here I can confirm they’re an amazing ride and the ballast system is unreal
Wow, that was a great one. I think the looks will grow on me over time, but loved the thoughts behind the design and also the wholesome sharing and passing knowledge bit. Cool to see the ritual and heritage being appreciated, too.
The application for the strip's are to act as a keel bleeder, it has a 4mm gap all way along and only small stitches creating an aeration under the hull, this design was inspired by yacht racing and while it did improve hole shot and slight top end the design will unfortunately not be continued on with these boats, but still a great concept and good to test out some theories
Good to see a half decent boat test, looks like it rides really well and lands perfect when being launched and I’ve never understood why some builders talk up how well their boats turn, I drive a straight line to my marks, only turn when sounding
would be nice to have an aluminum boat in Hawaii, the boat seems to glide through the water so smoothly, even going over waves it saettled down so gently, what an awesome boat, we have 99 percent fiberglass boats in Hawaii, and would be nice to have some aluminum boats around. keep up the good works building boats, aloha from Hawaii
Love the boat. Great episode. We are all here, lets share it & enjoy it""... Sums it up well Jade & I believe it's actually how 99% of us think & behave. It's nice to be reminded with all the shit that goes on :)

Looks cool, besides that stitched strip on the keel, aluminium corrodes without an oxide layer, eg, moisture sitting between two over lapping pieces.
