Donut Shop in Minutes? EASY Canned Biscuit Dough Donuts!
GLAZED DONUTS
• Canned Biscuit Donuts ...
INGREDIENTS
1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
vegetable oil for frying
DREDGE
1/2 to 3/5 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of salt
Instructions
Prep the Dough: Pop that can of biscuits open! We don't even need to roll these out. Just separate each biscuit and, using a round cookie cutter or a small cup (get creative!), cut out the center to make your donut shape. Don't throw away the leftover dough - those become delicious donut holes!
Fill a pot with enough oil to reach about halfway up your donuts. Heat it to 350°F (175°C) - you want it nice and bubbly, but not smoking!
Carefully drop your donuts (2-3 at a time) into the hot oil. They'll puff up like magic! Fry for 1 minute per side until golden brown and delicious.
While your donuts are still warm, dunk them in a bowl of cinnamon sugar or get fancy with a glaze.
Don't forget those donut hole cutouts! Fry them up alongside the donuts, following the same cooking time. They're perfect little pops of donut goodness for a quick snack.
If you're feeling fancy, whip up a simple glaze in minutes! In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, a splash of milk, and a touch of vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency to your liking - thicker for dipping, thinner for drizzling.
How to make donuts at home
I never have to buy donuts again!
Look very delicious 🤤 😋 I love donuts 🍩 🍩🍩🍩
I love donuts.
Same, now I gotta go buy biscuits to make donuts 🍩 🤤
My kids love making these donuts! We dunk them in powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. If I have any leftover frosting in the fridge, we'll also frost them and shake some sprinkles on top. 😉
My mother made these for us growing up. Love these donuts
I was super impressed with the ease and deliciousness as they remind me of something you would get at the state fair and definitely better than any kind of gas station that's around me at least
My mom made donuts similar to this when I was a little girl. We just pulled them and put our finger in the middle to make the hole. We all loved them. We made a powder sugar glaze or a cinnamon sugar powder. Mmmm so good with a glass of milk.
Looks delicious im gonna have to try this
Amazing idea. I’m going to make them for my kids.
My mom used to make these for us in the 60’s! She made her own biscuit dough back then and frost, glaze or sugar them!
Yes, we did that growing up. Wow, it’s so nostalgic that you do this too. I’m pretty sure a lot of people do but thank you for your videos. I enjoy them.
Thank you, Angelica! 🍩
Great idea!!! I have some in the fridge right now!!! Guess what I'm making tomorrow!!! God Bless Us All!!!
This is essentially the easy way to make "lángos" (Hungarian fried bread) that I grew up with, having Hungarian relatives. The difference is that lángos is savory, not sweet, because it is seasoned with garlic salt and sometimes other herbs. And sometimes, instead of plain garlic bread, it is topped with cheese such as mozzarella or one's favorite kind. Maybe even sausage pieces.
They look so good! Thx for sharing!! ♥️🌈
Such a smart idea and money saving ,especially if you have a large family .Thank you for the receipe .😊❤
Fantastic recipe 👍🏻
Yes I grew up with these too! Been meaning to make them again. Thanks for the reminder! 👍❤
I want to try this in my air fryer 😋
Delicious memories from my childhood. 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi A!!! I like this recipe. I will be trying this for sure...YUMS!!!... Nice Video!!!...🦋
I love your video on homemade kolaches. I go to the bakery for donuts and kolaches, and now I can make them both at home and have a great breakfast.
Oh yum, one of my favorites! Ive got to try this! Thank you! 💗
I will try this recipe. I love ur recipes.
Hi, you are so sweet, most videos just bore me to death, but you keep my attention! And have taught me alot, thank you! God Bless
This looks great! Have you tried cardamom or nutmeg instead of (or maybe with) cinnamon? Wonder if the cinnamon rolls would work?!?!?!?
Yes, I learned to make these on camping trips in the boy scouts. We would simply poke the hole through with our thumbs, and then stretch the hole out. It really does make good donuts 👍👍.
I LOVE this channel for so many reasons! From the great recipes, the fantastic tips and the lively & no worries attitude, which gives me confidence to try something new (or a better way).
But honey, I ain’t gonna waste calories on store bought biscuits! I had those same biscuits as a kid and didn’t like them.
I’m just a snob when it comes to baked goods. I never ever buy bread (have a loaf rising right now).
Love just about everything about this channel, so THANK YOU!
Made these for my 4 daughters as they grew up and they were crazy for them! I always dredged/dipped in powdered sugar!
Used to make this as a kid with my grandma. They were so good
Okay, you convinced me to make these. And great job at filming and frying.
I’ve been making these for years. My kids loved it when they were growing up! 😋😋😋
I learned how to make these in high school cooking class in the 70s. 😆 Powdered sugar coated is also good.
We did this as kids. So delicious!
Yes, this is a great treat. I've also made them in the air fryer in about 5 minutes.
wow... looks awesome... specially when biscuits are bogo lol i just so happen to have a thing of biscuits hmmm

Yeah I remember those just like mom used to make I love them. 👌👌
Very good 👍 I did make these and my son especially loves them. I sent him the link to this video.
Yes my mom taught me this. I always have bisquits. So when I want something sweet I go to these. I make these atleast once a year. I like them with cinnamon and sugar too. I am lazy, so I just take my finger and create a hole. I have even twisted them and fried them. ❤
Brings back good memories from when I was young and learned how to make doughnuts from biscuits. Yours look better than I made.
We used to use the small biscuits and rolled them in powdered sugar
This is what my great grandma use to do. She used the little biscuits. My sister and I loved them. She has been gone almost fourteen years, but she impacted my life so much. Thanks for sharing. Great memories,😊
Learned this in cooking class in 7th grade. Thank's for the memory boost!
I remember growing up at the ranch in fortord with my mom and 🧑 👨 this was our snack for Sunday lunch💓🥰 Sooo delicious 😋
I just ate some leftover Mexican rice from one of your recipes. Best ever
We did this while camping! What’s treat!
This is a great video! 🤗 I wonder if you can do those donuts the same way, but cook them in an Air Fryer to avoid the oil? 🤔
We make mini-donuts same way, but using regular biscuits, shallow fry in electric fry pan, toss in gallon plastic ice cream pail (sugar, cinnamon). YUM.
I used the lid of a brand new salt shaker the little stainless steel type to make the donut hole and that worked perfectly for the size and removal
Love me some donuts! Thank you
my grandmother made for us in the 50s then my mother now I make them and then my children make them! We use the cheapest biscuit powered sugar is the best on them. We’ve tried everything!
Grew up with these and I made for my girls also
Yummy
Can't wait to make these with the grandkids
Thank you 😊 from Barbara
How do you know when they're done inside
You are amazing! Thank you!
My grandma used to make me this with a banana milkshake and they were so boooomb!🥰
gonna try this 👍🏽
Officially on my to-do list.
I love doughnuts a lot.
I crave donuts
Cooking oil? No specification on oil type? I've read that using a neutral oil (canola/sunflower) is the best. Is that what you used?
Vegetable oil is what the description specifies.
Grew up making these. Love chocolate donuts though.
What do we do with the oil when we’re done?
YUMMY DONUT 🍩
So yummy.
Love it❤❤❤❤😋😋😋
I watched the original easy donuts recipe, Easiest donut you could ever make , I did the glaze , key to the glaze ? Let it dry. Amazing if you love sweets .
Have you ever tried using the canned cinnamon rolls? Then, using the glaze that comes in the can on them?
I used to work at a donut shop and the guy who fried the donuts always use two sticks while he was waiting for them to fry. He played the drums with his two sticks on the edge of the pan when he got sick I had to fry the donuts and they were rising faster than I could keep upabout the big donuts and the shop that I didn’t tell him it was the same donut that just grew bigger
So I tried this an my donut was hard like a rock later that evening, how do you keep them soft ??
Biscuits is on the list
Growing up I used to make these.
I'll just watch thanks. Hot oil was never my thing :)
❤
Why don’t you try to make beignets using biscuit dough? I bet you could.
❤
I find that these taste more like Chinese biscuits rather than tonights
👍🏻🙌🏻🙏
I want o make them because i went to yum yum doughnuts and it was $7.49 for three doughnuts. 😢
My problem with donuts, like all sweets, I can't stop with one or two.
What do you do witah all the leftover oi”?
How would powdered sugar work?
Why did my donuts come put raw inside?
I noticed that her donuts were golden brown but she left them in until they were a dark gold. I'd say you didn't leave them in long enough or your temperature was too high so the outside got golden before the inside had a chance to cook through.
The oil temperature was probably too hot so the outsides cooked much faster than the inside ☺️
😋😋
Wamp Biscuits. Wamp them on the counter to open.
Smash
These canned biscuits have lab created synthetic “vitamins”, aluminum (major cause of dementia), artificial flavors, and pyrophosphate (which contributes to osteoporosis). 🚩
1. unless contaminated with things like benzene, lab created vitamins shouldnt do anything different to natural derived vitamins
2, the link with aluminum is with Alzheimer's, not dementia, and even the link is still debated and inconclusive as of yet; as its only used to store the biscuit dough before use and not actually present in the dough, you should be fine. you arent heating the aluminum, so theres no way for it to atomize anyways
3. artificial flavors is probably your only leg to stand on, but plain grands biscuits dont contain any artificial ingredients
4. pyrophosphates occur naturally in the body and are important to the function of joints and cartilage; moderation is key
just dont make them if you dont want to instead of attempting to spread misinformation
Paid 1.99 for a single crispy creme donut the other day. Could not believe it. Bidenflation. Thx Joe
You seriously believe Biden sets donut prices? Try corporate price gouging. When you paid that, you lined a CEO's pockets.
LOL donuts haven't gone up more than mere cents. If you're paying multiple dollars for a donut, it's either A) a homemade mom and pop shop or B) a greedy corporation. Either way, you choose where to spend your money!
Seeing you whack the tube of donuts on the counter was such a visceral memory for me 🥲
