coming from the deep south I had this idea of fashion that I feel like kept me from realizing my passion for too long. I first saw the collection on TT and was just blown away. For the first time ever, right in front of me, was a finished product that put together so many ephemeral notes that I have yet to have the opportunity to do for myself. Finding this video was truly just the icing on the cake. The idea of creating this world that feels so close but also unique is just incredible, everything from the props to the characters. I hope to one day soon be able to be a part of THIS side of fashion, thank you for doing you and inspiring people like me.
I’m big fan of Western History, although im European. I watched a lot of spaghetti westerns and spend big amount of time in that computer game called red dead redemption 2. I always liked fashion and thought of combining some of the clothing pieces in the game with modern time(pretty much like you are doing it). I watched the video and realized I needed just to do things rather than thinking about it, because when you think too long u are loosing your creative flow. This Video is a BIG Inspiration and Im glad i didn’t skip it. I will sure buy some stuff from you. I wish you success in the FUTURE!🔥
omg Richard Avedon “In The American West” is an insaneee photo book. My city’s art museum library has it & I flipped through the whole thing for at least an hour
thank you for sharing this, as someone who is starting to develop their own style and design when it comes to creating clothes, videos, brand. this helped a lot ❤
Hey, it would be really interesting for me to know who/what your biggest inspirations were when you were starting out in fashion, and now. What designers do you see as the most cool and exciting right now (besides you haha) Also, your logo kinda gives me a space-age vibe, like a sunrise from behind a planet. But I don't get that impression from your clothes. I'd love to know how you came up with the logo, and how you feel it represents the brand :)
Also, sorry if these were already answered. I haven't watched all your vids yet. Just ideas I'd be interested in for content, so maybe others are too. Have a nice day!
This is great! You skipped over the most difficult part for me which is actually getting things done, especially for things like this that it seems it’s just 1 MOQ. Where can I find these manufactures or companies?
Hey do you source all your fabric samples yourself & send them to your manu, or do you work with what your manufacturer already has / see what they can source that is similar to your design sketch?
Great question - we do a bit of both, really depends on the manufacturer and their setup. We also use all of deadstock for certain items and will create styles depending on what is available.
@ thank you Spencer. I’m trying to launch my own brand and a lot of people have told me to start the design process with fabric sourcing first, but I always found sketching first more natural, but the only problem is then sourcing fabrics.
@SPENCER_PHIPPS this video is the first of yours I've seen, I really enjoyed your process. I'm moving away from alterations and more toward waxed canvas hiking/outdoor wear. Consider me subscribed
as a guy interested more into streetwear, this video was still really helpful in helping me understand my own vision and design philosophy
Love to hear that 🤜🤛

I’m definitely out here trying to build a new side of American fashion, and very happy that you’re a part of it :)

I have the whole book memorized at this point. If you like that series you should look at Karlheinz Weinberger’s book REBEL YOUTH
Super inspiring! Thanks for the insight into how you design.
