I hope this is a learning lesson for everyone that takes main stream media as their source for deciding whom they're voting for. It's a fact that MSM leans more to the lefts narrative. I took the time to educate myself on both sides. As a Conservative Christian I vote my values. The Republican Party is known to be more towards the morals and values of a Conservative Christian.
I find it very interesting that folks that were planning on voting for Trump knew more about Biden and his policy positions than people who were going to vote for Biden.
this is why democrats look at their voting base as Useful Idiots. they know these people just go with what they are told.
Par for the course though really. Im not surprised at all.
This is how it always is. Conservatives consume information from all sources, Liberals only consume left wing sources. Once you start reading into all sides you almost automatically become conservative.

THIS is EXACTLY why for decades celebrities have been doing the "get out and vote" campaigns. They KNOW that young people vote blindly with the crowd.
Most Trump supporters were/are pretty well informed about the policies that candidates supported - there was a reason they supported Trump and unlike the Dems it stemmed from knowledge of BOTH candidates.
They also were informed about their opponents.
I avoided anything Trump because I never watched networkTV and didn't really know him. Once we finally accepted he would likely be the nominee we listened. We were happily surprised. I think anyone who can get past the bombastic delivery of his message...
Most? I sure hope that is true but I know too many who can only repeat one talking point. He’s not a politician. A lot of them don’t really know much. Their not much is still more than the average dems I know though, who are both the least informed overall and most misinformed group of people I can imagine. The most knowledgeable and most well read individuals I know are pretty much all conservatives and mostly autodidacts.

For me I was a Democrat until Bill Clinton. Watching Joe in his early days as a senator made me know I made the correct decision! I will never go back.

Every time I watch these videos with young people showing how little they know, I get slightly depressed. If something doesn't change as far as our young folks not having a CLUE, we will lose our country!
And when these youngsters finally realize that their freedoms are no longer in place, I'm sure they'll think, HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN!!
All they have to do to find the answer is look in the mirror!

I remember reading his policies on his website and telling people what he was about and they argued with me so I sent them a link to his own site and the either said it was a fake site or didn't care. A couple thought he was overboard but still voted for him.

If you ask them why they don't like him they'll just start throwing out media talking points. If you try to tell them that those things they say they hate him for, are all lies and even show them facts to back it up, they'll just start calling you nasty names, saying you're "brainwashed" or in a "cult" and get so frustrated that you know what you're talking about, they just stomp off in a huff.
Deep down, most of them know they're the ones who are literally voting blindly, based solely on whatever the media told them to believe, without taking the time to research it for themselves. It's been this way to some extent for decades, but these last 5-7 years, it's just been pure insanity!

Two things Biden did that I take issue with.
1994 Crime Bill.
1994 Violence Against Women Act.
You probably know all about the crime bill. Everyone's willing to point to that as the start of mass incarceration of men, mostly minorities.
But the VAWA was the cherry on the sundae.
It overwrote Reagan's Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (1984), which was gender neutral. It replaced it with radical feminist ideology that defines abusers as men and abuse victims as women. It even allowed domestic violence shelters to turn away the sons of abused women if they were over the age of 12. Because the women and girls in the shelter were endangered by them.
The act also allowed for research funding to be limited to women's experience as victims of abuse and men's experience and motivations to be abusive.
And it promoted a single solution to any domestic violence incident. Family breakup and maternal custody.
Mothers are the group most likely to abuse children. Followed by mother and other (new boyfriend). Followed by mother and father. Followed by father and other. Followed by father acting alone.
But that law yeeted fathers from not just marriages, but from their kids' lives. And it left kids in the custody of abusive women. Because according to what the law said, women don't abuse, yo.
And when he was arguing on the floor for this act, he said while he was growing up his sisters used to beat and bully him, but there was one rule in the house. No male was allowed to hit a female, even if he was hitting her back. And if he did hit her back, his parents would deploy the "nuclear option".

Republicans managed to take some of the gender bias out of the law back in 2012. But only because the Democrats' bill (which would have gendered it more and expanded its powers to destroy lives) contained illegal appropriations.

I've went against many things my mom has tried to drill in my head and at 50 years old, I still see most of them as doing the right thing. Would be nice if a lot of others would wake up and think for themselves.
I've tried explaining to several people and asked them to just do their own research and it's incredible how many people are comfortable being stupid. It shouldn't surprise me any more but it never fails to boggle the mind.
Think of it this way. Consider the average person with average intelligence.Then realise half the planet is dumber than that!

Van, PLEASE don't wait until 2024 to vote! We have mid term elections coming up and they are super, super important. Please don't let that opportunity to vote pass. Local elections are where it all starts. States(are supposed) to run themselves with little oversight from the federal government. That isn't what is happening. The only way to take that back is to vote the midterm and local elections.

Being in school more than 30 years ago, I can remember certain things some teachers would say that didn't make sense to me, so I was selective when I would hear certain things.

As my children were at the voting age, I told them not to put your pencil to your ballot until you look up each candidate and see if they are for what you will accept your future children to live. If you do not take the time to research each candidate for a document as important as our election ballots, then do not vote. Our military fought for our right to vote in the hopes that we do not take our Blessed American Journey for granted. We're supposed to leave a better world for our children, and so on.
I always ask to whoever I’m talking to, what has their candidate done that would make me "Vote" for them. Biden has been in politics over 40 years.
Biden has accomplished nothing positive during his entire political career.

I find it disheartening that so many people seems clueless, the vote you cast is important and i think it should be mandatory that you at least know the basic things about a candidate and his or her policy's. I have never even been to the US and it feels to me like i know more about Joe Biden / Trump then many Americans do.

just food for thought: If we have to take a test to have a driver's license, get special training to be a soldier and go to war, pass a background check to own a gun or even have a public transportation job, then why not make people take a simple test to be able to register to vote? How absurd of an idea is that? An ignorant voter is along the same lines as a person allowed to drive, or own a firearm without knowing what they're doing.

She could have turned that group of boys into conservatives. They were good kids, heck one even said he would vote dem because of his mom. I’m a conservative, but there was something sweet about that comment. But these kids were smart just not into politics. They didn’t seem to have preconceived notions on politics. So seems they would have been very open to hearing facts. Think those kids would definitely align more with conservatives than dem. Anyways that group of kids gives hope. Seemed to be very good kids.

I'm with you on being the most informed while voting in 2024. I'm 53, and honestly never paid a lot of attention to politics pre Trump. The presence of anteeffaa, and watching the news flat out lie about Trump and the criminals opened my eyes. Watching them and the left try and destroy a 17 year olds life for successfully defending his locked me in. All that crap told me we all need to pay better attention.
