Ive got a 18 RM been thinking of stage 1 and was thinking of these. What is your take on them for traveling long distance? Just wondering if they'd be to much over time at highway speeds.
Just installed these on Fri. 4/14/23 same tips/all black. No speakers can do these justice. Nice, deep, loud pipes. Very happy with my TAB 4.5" w/The Walking Dead Baffles! 🧟🧟♂🧟♀
You may want to try some new handle bars from KST Kustoms. Their bars are polished stainless steel and black stainless steel. Their Mayhem and Bison series are of the chain in 12 and 14 inch, I found that 12 inch bars do justice to a bagger.
Did you say 65mph in 6th gear??????? My guy.....you're definitely luggin that thing. You should maybe think about hitting 5th gear at 65mph.....but 6th? Never before 80mph

This is what i am running on my 17 SG Special. I put them on after about 150 miles on my V&H. Such a big difference. Could not be any happier. TAB is the way to go for the M8. My local HD shop is now a dealer of TAB.

Next week, gonna grab me the Zombie Baffles. That's another great reason to go with TAB's, you can buy different baffles and switch them out any time you want!
Are your speakers factory? And do you just have batwing speakers? If you've only got the factory batwing speakers. Will you tell me if you can still hear your music helmet on and closed and cruising 6th gear? I love having my tunes while riding and really want to get the tabs with zombie baffles. These pipes look great-how far out does the air cleaner come out compared to stock? Also have you done any upgrades to fuel/air mixture such as Vance and Hines fuel pack or any others? I've always heard if you change the air intake you need to change the fuel mix or you'll run to lean.
I hope that you also installed a fuel tuner when you installed the Tab Performance mufflers and their air filter too? If not this will make your engine run way too lean. You can either install a more free-flowing air filter or a set of performance mufflers, but not both. If you install the performance mufflers and an air filter that can draw in much more air than the stock air filter, you really have a strong chance of damaging your engine in heavy traffic and running your engine at higher speeds. Your Harley engine is set to perform to the EPA air and fuel mandates and the stock air filter and fuel map are set very lean.
Like the pipes, surprised by sound assuming they are only slip-ons. I prefer the oval style high flow breathers for flushness while riding but not a fan of the look of those particularly, but matter of taste. Ignore all the “void your warranty” comments. I’ve purchased 4 new Harley’s over the years, all staged up w/ aftermarket & never an issue with warranty. Find a dealer to build a relationship with & trust, HD corporately has to say they “don’t support aftermarket items” that work around emission requirements but can’t say those void the warranty even though I’ve heard it 20 times. Educate yourself on Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, it’s incumbent upon MFG to prove negligence, you just need to be smart enough & willing to fight it if it happened, in fairness most guys don’t want the hassle. I highly recommend headers & a tune. FP3 from V&H is cheap, can autotune if desired, can revert back to factory settings if needed but is limited. Zippers Thundemax Autotune also worked well for me, has great dynamic condition adjustment if needed, is set up for all future growth but is significantly more expensive, over double FP3. Stay away from HD current tuner. They were forced by law to remove the old “race” version as it bypasses emissions so the current tuner is muted per HD parts, service manger & techs. I’m running Bassani Road Rage 2into1, SE Ventilator AC, SE Stage 2 torque cam, with FP3 tune download from V&H on 2017 RGS 107. Runs strong, 111# torque that rolls on early
sorry but my 107 m8 RGS with stage 2 cam and screamin eagle slip on 's sound a whole lot better than that, and totally keeps my warranty intact and my forever warranty therafter, and a 114 cant touch me, lol.
I just did my pipes tabs all black with the zombie baffles also 4.5 I sent my headers to American custom exhausts for 199.99 they take out the cats and do something else to them and send them back to you but your bikes sounds good
I do really like the pipes the look good and they sound nice. But the air cleaner does not do the bike justice. I hope you got that for free, they are really proud of them for $500 on their website. Keep up the great work.

I like the look of the pipes I like to know if you changed your exhaust out or is that still a factory exhaust the air cleaner is cool but I believe that my Vance & Hines ovals and my Vance & Hines true dual exhaust sound a lot louder than the slip ones that you have but they do sound good
TT you asked for comments, so here goes. I'm old school, been riding HD since 1978. the 4.5 inch IMHP is so over the top even tho I have Kuryakyn 4 inch on my bike (perfect storm), soon we'll tuba sized pipes.IMHO Kury Crushers sound better...
I love the slip-ons, the air filter cover is not my style. I was wondering if on your trip across the USA if you ever wished that you had the Road Glide instead of the Street Glide for the extra room for your body type?

Pipes are nice, like that designed tip too, the air cleaner however......maybe because your engine is chrome I'd have probably went with a chrome air cleaner. I'm about to upgrade to the stage 3 or 4 in approximately 4 mos so I'm researching my air cleaner & tuner now, I grabbed my aftermarket 4" pipes upon purchasing though. Also, before I forget I like the throaty growl your bike has now. Ride safe bro!!!

The fasteners can be black or chrome for either model as an option as well to give a person the ability to have it sleek or have some two tone. I have those, they are stupid loud!!! I actually bought their baffles and put one in the right side pipe to get some back pressure back....still loud too.

Didn't like the tone of the zombies. Switched to 2.5in baffles. 114 with cam and decatted, sounds great.

Had them on my ‘15 Street Bob and ‘17 Street Glide (before changing to full V&H system). Great slip-on mufflers. Even better sounding in person.
