    Please think long and hard and do whatever makes you happy. Micro locs are really nice. You could also consider cutting into layers or something before combing out. I cut mine last year and regretted it. Got knotless braids until my hair was long enough to restart my loc journey😂 Whatever you decide I will be happy for you🤎

    I entertained the idea of sisterlocs. I knew I wanted some type of loc because I didn't have the time to manage my loose natural hair anymore. As I thought about sisterlocs I kept feeling anxious. For me, it was cost and maintenance. I don't think sisterlocs was conducive to MY lifestyle. I like the freedom of being able to retwist my own hair if I want and the cost of traditional works better for me. But I understand your dilemma. Siterlocs are SO beautiful. I've never heard of anybody complaining about the weight of their sisterlocs. Sometimes I wish I had started with sisterlocs. But I feel I made the best decision for me. Good luck to you!

    So I went backwards lol I had mircrolocs for 1 year. I was traveling and girrrllll it was nobody around to do my hair, it took me too long etc. I cut my hair off had a 27 piece for 6 months. Came back and got traditional locs I can say I'm content. The short natural hair was a lot of upkeep. So i ran back to locs. I think we adore things that's not on us. I also got micro locs because my hair is fine and not full but the time was just tooo much for my lifestyle. But life is about taking chances! Before I had my locs, i did it all shaved my sides, 27 piece, box braids, wigs, have fun. You're only young once

I just think we as people need to stop living through others and live our own journey. I’m literally going the same thought process. I’m 6 years loc’d and my hair has been waist length for a year. My neck is so bad. The pain is severely impacting my entire life. My sleep, work, personal life. Everything. I’ve cut half of the back to bra length and it helped some but I’m not sure it’s enough. Granted I do have to wear my hair up for work so the buns at 45-50 hrs a week is awful. I don’t know if the locs are the entire issue as I was in a car accident 4 years ago so I know that pain can linger or show up later. But I honestly didn’t have any neck pain until my locs got longer and heavier.

    • @Chynax_M
      @Chynax_M  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ohh Yeahh I totally understand. Maybe it is the accident but because your locs are longer now and there’s some weight to it, it probably adds to the neck pain /stiffness.

    Oh my! Just gorgeous. You certainly don't look like what you've been through. I had my locs for close to 4 years th-cam.com/video/yExmqO9abYs/w-d-xo.html and then cut them for pretty much the same reasons - too heavy, always in a messy bun on top of my head, was going through a major career shift after an extremely toxic job and needed to let the bad memories go, and had long wanted smaller locs for ease of styling. I cut them when they were just down to BSL. Having had long locs, now I know I don't enjoy long locs. Just shoulder length is fine for me. I love long locs on other though 😄 My daughter's microlocs are tail bone length now.

    Whatever you decide, Imma stick beside you! 🫶🏽 There’s nothing wrong with switching things up. Bump what the loc community says. If you were a loose natural, they would have something to say. Relaxed hair, they would have something to say. It’s unfortunate that people ALWAYS have something to say. 😩 I’m looking forward to the new look. ❤

    I think new beginnings and doing what you want is important just because you are living your life... i go back and forth but for me I am to lazy and I don't want to depend on a loctician

    It’s not about content creators knowing their followers or visa/versa; but in your case, locs are what you built your brand on. However, do you lady.
