The finals is the most fun ive had with an fps in years, really hope the devs can get their stuff together to make this game what it could be

well luckily for embark xdefiant was pretty mid so it likely wont steal many players. But if a new fps game releases before the finals gets balanced it could be the end of the finals

The real issue imo is the lack of players. It's not exactly fun sitting for up to 5 minutes just to start a match. To add in, there are too many shitty players.
The other key factor being ignored, there's no offline mode. The biggest flaw in all games these days is that they're all live service garbage. Going fully online has destroyed the industry.
The trash players take is normal cuz it’s a new game the second take about no offline mode is bs cuz neither does Fornite nor Cod and any other popular game yet they’re on top and lastly the 5min queue is either cuz you’re not in North America or cuz you’re platinum in rank which isn’t a surprise bc not that many good players play yet
How exactly do you want to play a pvp offline?

I would also say that the lack of tournaments plays a role in people not being motivated enough to climb ranks and grind the game
As a community I think we can all agree without a doubt that EVERY class should be viable in ranked. Another one of this games biggest issues is that anyone can play any comp they want at anytime, while this was a huge selling point at first, its another one of their biggest issues and is ruining the balance and integrity of the the game. And instead of limiting 1 class or 1 specialization per team loadout they are instead nerfing the fun outta the game to try and counter it
Running triple heavy is ridiculous lol! The game becomes easy mode. Triple medium revive spam is crazy OP too
I personally dropped the game as it got repetitive, the new weapons were underwhelming, and as you said, the new season didn't bring enough freshness. Playing ranked queued me against people of significantly higher rank, coordinating well and following the meta. Solo queueing was really difficult as the game puts very heavy emphasis on team play. Worst of all, its a game with a pretty low skill ceiling, so to say. Movement is very shallow, and combined with the high TTK, you're not punished too much for being out of position or push aggressively, especially as a heavy with a pocket. Compared to other FPS titles like Apex, The Finals just doesn't offer much to the players that unlocked everything and are there for the ranked experience.
Yeah but apex isn't really that much fun now with all the hacking and sweaty players too.

bro spoke what was on my mind, why release mediocre weapons and gadgets for players to use the same weapons as before. They need to release more guns/weapons so that every play style is unique & actually impactful versus everybody using the same things... & then ranked being terrible, im gold 2 & getting silvers, bronze & unranked in the lobby. Defeats the whole purpose of "ranked" or placements
if you get bored by the one and only meta in the finals then you are the problem play casual play the other things when i play "not meta" i get rekt sometimes but its fun
for me i quit because i was tired of the invisible players

Casu gamer here, play mostly bank it and get to fight against minimum 6 light in a game if I count I think in 10 games my team mate are 8 times both light so, 8 light in a lobby of 12 players.. Unplayable

I was in a rank queue for 30 minutes so I reset the game and put me in for another 30 minutes and still didn’t play!

You will mostly encounter cheaters in Ranked and between Platinum and Diamond elo.
Also depends which servers you play since some are more infested with cheaters then others.
How to know if someone is cheating?
Obvious aimbot and also ESP (seeing people through walls),
Some do have soft aimbot which you might not notice unless you spectate them or their in your team.
when they land shots threw a mesh shield and only land headshots. Or you lose to much hp in the amount of time you were looking at someone. You'll know most of the time.

Everyone talks about the cheaters but I genuinely don’t see them, sure there are those cracked d1 kids but that’s just good aim. Any tips for spotting them in my games? P1 btw so I face plenty of diamonds
Usually the blatant ones are hitting only headshots, and shooting through shields. For headshots I’m not saying you die once and think they are cheating. But if you’re constantly only getting headshot by a specific person then it looks weird.
For me I wish that they would buff other things to give me another viable option instead of just nerfing everything
Meta was changed with recon senses gone. Cloak light with gateway but they just nerfed cloak so not really meta anymore
I think this game more than almost any other FPS the difference between high and low ranked is insanely wide. Things like the heavy shotgun, FCAR, shield and heal beam. While these are objectively the best at high ranked, the lower ranks and casuals are getting stomped by lights with invis, and heavies are one of the worst classes.
I dont know how you fix that, but you can easily see the divide on places like the discord and reddit in reactions to the patches
As for cheating, this is a really hard problem. And yeah the Finals has an issue with this, but if Valve right now can't solve cheating problems, i cannot expect Embark to do so. Cheating is a genre wide problem right now, and I guarantee when xDefiant releases in 3 months itll be awash with cheaters, especially with free to play.
There's a lot that Embark have done that I feel has missed the mark. I also think this game has turned out to be surprisingly hard to balance for all levels of play
You could give them a suggestion on discord to show how the game would improve and I haven't seen any other cheaters in my game.

If you are bored from the final joint the egg hunt it's really fun 🐒🐒🐒
For me, it’s the constant nerfs and patch notes. The power fantasy is being eroded and the fun factor is dropping precipitously. The increase in recoil is awful. This game is in a race to the bottom with nerfs. Each class will point out nerfs until this is just another plain Jane vanilla game. I don’t want to have to use an aim trainer for a 30 min warmup each day. Also, the cheater problem is def awful
I think the constant patch notes are one of the best things about the game by far. They listen to the community and nerf things that are overpowered. I do wish they would buff the unused items more often tho to switch up the meta

After about 800 hours of playtime, I've only run into cheaters In like 5-7 matches. Otherwise I agree with the summary of issues. Primarily the complete lack of advertising. Most people have no idea this game even exists.

I for one am happy this game is in decline- after what's used in it (blatened "AI" voice acting and extremally greedy reply on why it is in the game), the missmanagment with cheaters and quite frankly- suspiciously quick popularity this game got.
Battlebit at least has something to show from itself and a rather whole hearty reasons behind itself- make a good battlefield game after the original got fkd.

From my perspective, of course it may be different to yours, and still respect your view. In terms of “AI” that does not really matter to me, you can mute dialogue and so on. On the other hand cheating and such is definitely a huge factor, which can result in the game dying or dropping of from “mainstream media”, just like battlebit I too had high hopes for battlebit but it unfortunately died by not listening to their respective community.
@@DuckFilmsTV pecurialrly I do have a different feel on battlebit- it doesn't feel dying.
From more outside perspective both games might be scewed due to how much they "popped off" at launch, making a decline to standard people levels feel like "game ded".
But quite honestly- I dislike when games that set up bad examples for the rest pop off, and Finals sets up bad examples
This game is trash bc of light players thinking its call of duty💀 every time I solo queue I always team up with a light no matter what
How is that a problem? I match up with some heavys and mediums I don't know what happening with you and it's not the games fault it's the people that's choosing the light class.
