- What could Embark add that would improve THE FINALS experience 10x? Say if we had new community features, gamemodes, events and finally a fixed ranked experience, what would THE FINALS look like?
Today I'm diving deep and sharing my thoughts on what features I think THE FINALS would massively benefit on, and also respond to your comments and questions in previous videos!

I wanna see something similar too splatoon, where each time you opened the game "celebrities" would talk on a tv discussing random stuff, i would love to see where each sponsor company would have a representative that would reach out to YOU for sponsor "opportunities" or the celebrity would "advertise" their product which would be a cosmetic or weapon. I think this would make the world building really cool while adding new things to the game.
Just port Marie over and never explain it. That would be funny

Yeah exactly what I’m pointing at, I think mini cut scenes etc at points of you gaining fame would be cool too, because as I said as soon as you’re introduced to the game, you’re kind of then left to play it, which is fine but people like progression stories etc

winning ranked tournaments should give you extra progression and tokens to spend in store or something so it feels worth playing
option to sacrifice a gadget for a single customization on your weapon, multiple customization options but you can only choose one like give up a grenade or zipline for -- silencer or extra ammo etc

the announcers should call out the “top contestants” of each match in the beginning like whatever team had a good score that day gets the spotlight and some XP or something
I really like the sponsership idea you have. Hope embark implements a similar feature to that some day in their updates

I just want them to add a midevil map where its a castle surrounded by a village with farmlands around that and i also want maps in places like space,the ice age,horror themed maps and even other dimensions

I feel like that would kinda break the immersion, but I feel like if arc raiders would have opponents massive map different portions should be like that

I hope they look to games like Armored Core when they design sponsorship content. I love how that games has this secret lore based on whos hiring you . Sometimes they hire you to do their dirty work or even set you up to fail. If they could do something like this I would be very happy. For instance, say OSPUZE is the fan favorite and has the best skins but every once in while you are reminded by June about a global water shortage followed by a message from your OSPUZE sponser saying "You're doing great. Profits are at record highs!".
Oh damn okay that’s cool I’ll check out Armored Core and see what they have in there, maybe some more inspiration but yeah I agree it would be really cool to see the lore evolve love as the season evolves too

I think gun game would be a cool game mode idea, that Embark could expand on, but the reason I want it to be added is because not a lot of people experience or try out different weapons and so this game mode would be perfect to try out different weapons and gadgets for new comers and it could be a cool casual game mode, where you just go around shooting people. I know the game modes in THE FINALS are objective where you work with a team, but maybe Embark could expand on the idea, like you play with a team and go around shooting other teams, but your weapon changes depending if you kill someone, and you get different perks if you team has the most amount of kills within a certain time, it would be a more aggressive, objective-based game mode, that I think could work.
Yeah I recently started playing with grenade launchers and had a lot of fun even though I didn’t use it much previously, I agree with the game mode I mean its eyes on them to see what they are making for this next update, I do hope that it’s something we are used to, with a twist

Going along with the community feature, we need CLANS as a feature in this game.that is the perfect conclusion to a greater community idea, as it allows groups to form within the game regardless of platform. You could even have official clans wars or rival clans to play against in private matches with wagered rewards on the line. Second, I think having an actual in game space (a small map/play space) for us to run around in our characters and meet people, play mini games, access menus would be far more attractive and interactive than a potential UI nightmare of a community tab (which does also still have its place in the game, just not as cluttered, could be more of a CLAN tab). This space could operate exactly like Destiny’s Tower space.
Yeah that’s cool, you can play like mini arcade games themed as THE FINALS or something haha I’d be down to see that
@@THiiXY 100% and incorporating a practice area for 3 v 3s, or even a mini obj mode, mixing in the shooting range with that area as well, with a “find a group” area.
Small idea, but it would be cool to have a second ranked game mode pretty much arenas from apex or mw. It’s a 1v1 or 2v2 and instead of going off of the traditional metal based ranking systems it’s gems. Topaz emerald sapphire etc. but the reason it would be separate is because it’s less of a team based game mode and wouldn’t convey your chemistry or teamwork like the original ranked game mode. It shows off how good you are as an individual when it comes to combat and eliminations. I would not want this to replace the traditional ranked at all but would be cool for solos or duos. The rank would be shown as a tiny gem next to your other ranked badge. The biggest think for me really is just having a 1-2 player game mode because I have a large group and they play ranked together but I guess I’m not good enough for them to want to play ranked with.
Other games that would be cool are oddball and vip/escort
Yeah I think someone mentioned it earlier but I completely agree with you, solo queue in ranked is out of the question now honestly, and I think that this area of the game should allow for alternative ways to push for the diamond reward skins, over what we have now 100%.
One thing we need is SHUFFLE, pls Embark, let me shuffle my skins, I don't wanna change them every time before I start a match!!

A minigun with a low player damage but high rpm and arena damage would be amazing

@@THiiXY one good idea I saw was actually stationary minigun for heavy, as a specialisation. As a foil to the turret for medium. Large mag but with a heat build up system that you have to manage so it can't be spammed

clothing creation / customization - allow others to post their custom clothes for others to wear, someone’s gonna make a viral outfit for sure
I love your ideas, especially the sponsor one! I would love to see Embark lean more into that with even the possibility of signing with teams in game or even making your own team. And definitely community profiles and being able to make a name for yourself or hold a certain status. Overall leaning more into the fact that the finals is a gameshow / Esport within itself.
Yeah exactly it’s something I feel that I can finally answer when talking about what the games missing, there’s this blank chunk somewhere and I feel it’s the progression that’s key, when you progress you’re not updated or anything and it feels stale there
Personally, I would like a skin color system of some kind. It would make creating themed characters significantly easier. Could be a color wheel where YOU select the colors, or just recolors for skins, similar to Valorant. Hopefully with the free currency, unlike Valorant. Buying weapons and rerolling contracts is nice, but more often then not I end up maxed out. Killing two birds with one stone!
I think that’s something that we will wait for in the game, because they are doing reskins (Fractial Disguise collection as an example with 4 variations) but yeah soon we will have some cool combos

Prestige would be cool! Then you can add it into the profile I was talking about etc or it can be seen in game
kind of remind me a bit of warframe factions, warframe has 6 different factions and to rank up each faction you need points unlocking a section of rewards. you get one free reward for unlocking that section of reward but you can grind the points again to get other rewards. in the finals the rewards can be unlocked with the collected VR for skins or color scheme based on the sponsor for certain weapons and/or clothing. for example maybe the rpg is recolored by ospuze or viiya because you chose to be sponsored by them. maybe the rewards gets better if you complete certain challenges from sponsors as a personal reward, like pick your favorite weapon or gadget and recolor it yourself or you get a boost where you get to collect more VR than regularly
Yeah that would be cool, I haven’t seen it from Warframe so I’ll check it out, but honesty just something else that’s a contributor to you evolving as a contestant would fill in so much “blank” space that this game feels sometimes would be really nice haha
@@THiiXY we can also have a lawyer system, who can be our lawyer? June ofcourse. what will June role be? well her role will be the reports about cheaters. if the certain person is cheating and has been reported multiple times. the players that faced these people will get a rank higher, after evidence either through clips or reward players for fair play and sportsmanship. Offer incentives such as exclusive rewards or recognition for players who consistently adhere to the rules.
You have some nice ideas for June, but like for Scotty you can have him be the "hype" man since while playing the game he sounds like he played the game before a lot. So he could also be like a trainer showcase on weapon on abilities, then as you climb the ranks. He can be there to congratulate you, but also shown what else you could have done to improve your ranks. So basically he could be your man in the game, showcasing all different stuff. So, he could say, "Welcome to this showcase of (Weapon/Ability)..." Then there could also be like a Score broad thing of people doing the stuff he showcased off in like community based trail or train range trail. With that you would get items or other types of customization you can equip, I think that would be a cool thing.
Yeah maybe like a mentor or something right. I was going to say Scotty but I wasn’t sure why he wasn’t present in the lore if that makes sense, as he’s only seen on commentating or with June, could be a mystery?….

Can we please be able to save the skins that we make? Because it’s really annoying when you buy a new skin and you wear it and then you wanna go back to your skin that you created and then you have to find all the cosmetics. Please make a video on this, please. and can we have a refund system as well? I just bought a model skin and I really want to have the new one that just came out.

How about a game mode where we play as Scotty? Kinda like that team fortress 2 thing. Or a pve mode where we can vs scotty and the other teams?

They should add intentional glitch movement it will make the fps more unique considering how we grew up with some of these glitches and people love glitch movements like videos made my truce which has tons of views. Maybe Scott was tournament winner due to these glitches and he could maybe teach us idk but it is a vr game and it should have glitches. This is just my idea idk
Or maybe they add it and let player find out themselves, will encourage players to spend more time figuring out glitches letting some youtuber gain more popularity for posting them. And new players could learn through other players like building jn fortnite

There was a big "hoohah" about them using AI voices for the commentators. You're absolutely right. They should lean into it and wrap around the player more. Even a pop up window (optional to disable) displaying the character with a kill streak which you as a player get to customise with emotes etc. Also a huge fan of the sponsorship head to head and general use of them as part of the gamification. Awesome.
Thanks! And yeah I just think that this part of the game has gone so unrecognised but it would make a huge impact in terms of the experience to the player, because some play this game with that kind of “story” aspect to it and would love more interaction
On the gamemodes. Absolutely I want Embark to do their own spin on classic fps modes. They did a great job with power shift since there is plenty of teamwork and gadget use (plus tons of destruction) in order to win. Same should be with their take of capture the flag or any other mode. In fact, I think their TDM could simply be a 5v5 or 6v6 bankit
Yeah 100% again it’s huge potential here, I think Valorant are doing the same thing with mixing up TDM modes so always room for growth in that area

I think I have a good idea for team Deathmatch. so everyone will look like a medium build, but they have the option to use any gun in the game. Any gadget in any specialization I know this would be really hard, to make but what do y’all think? Or they can get a game out and it randomly selects a class for the whole lobby to use.
Ohhh yeah that’s cool, so basically it levels the playing field in terms of health etc, but they get that variation in weapons etc, I can see it

I would love a game mode that would have two teams of three fighting each other in a smaller Arena. just like Apex dead with arena ranked. also make smaller arena maps for this game mode,. and you can’t double stack a class you can only use light medium and heavy. so what do y’all think?
Yeah I’ve already mentioned having certain roles locked to players but I think that it limits the freedom and creativity of this game, Embark also feel the same way, maybe for ranked only modes I could see it but then how do we fairly decided who gets to play what… idk I like the smaller arena idea though like a mini Monaco

could be cool to Chose what in game brand you want to be sponsored by - and picking certain companies like ospoose would give you special animations or gadget visuals & battle pass objectives etc

the public community lobbies is always something that keeps games going. it would be fun for players and profitable for embark
I hope they add a mode like oddball from Halo. One vault per match, teams have to hold the vault to accumulate cash up to a preset amount while the other teams chase them down. With the way movement works in The Finals this kind of mode could be really fun.
Exactly, that's why I voted the bottom choice haha, I really enjoyed Gun Game & Oddball, real nostalgia right there!
Got some idea's for new gadgets:
1. Gadget steal/borrow/copy, you copy the a gadget from teammate or enemy.
2. Teleport card, activate with a teammate and use it to switch places or tp teammate to you.
3. Pasive gadgets, e.g. speedboost, walljump, jumpkick, etc. (Maybe just call em 'skills')
A few problems with these:
1. Completely situational. If you copy your teams gadget, why didn't you just run that gadget? Otherwise, you're completely dependant on the enemy you select to have a useful gadget you need in that fight. What if all their gadgets are on cooldown? Players have 3 gadgets. What does your team gain from copying said gadget? Where do you find the time to pick a gadget mid fight?
2. Portal exists, this would be redundant and annoying to deal with. This would make a " get out of jail free" card for teammates playing out of position, encouraging poor play.
3. These are all movement abilities that lend nothing to the team and are only meant to serve the player that has it. Jump kick is basically a worse charge and slam without the benefit of arena destruction.
The community hub is an amazing idea, Embark should just hire you. I really hope they do the fame system you're proposing cause that would be awesome too. Lore wise I hope it's connected to Arc Raiders! Spot on June impersonation btw lol 😂

What could Embark add that would improve THE FINALS experience 10x? Remove SBMM from casual play. The betas and first week of release were fine, but then they added the SBMM patch. Then whenever I played with friends they would go something like 2-18. my friends got rolled every single match they played with me. All my friends quit playing because it felt sweaty af playing with me. Which then also made me quit. Game had all that hype early on because the gameplay was fun and new, but nobody ever talks about the SBMM patch that essentially prevented the game from continuing to climb.
That might bc the game has a verry low player base more players means "bad" players
Look I dislike SBMM as much as the next guy but without some form of it you would literally get some of the worst and inconsistent teammates imaginable, which would be legit hell for a team based game like this and i dont know why people fail to acknowledge this. In fact some of the main complaints from the beta was that solo queuing was absolute misery and part of that is due to the lack of SBMM. I can agree that it can be toned down a little to prevent steamrolls but completely removing SBMM would legit just destroy the game since it relies on team based mechanics to win.
There should be some sort of casual sbmn but less than most games like cod

@@THiiXY December 13th - Hotfix 1.2.3 "an update to Skill-based Matchmaking (SBMM)" "We've made some changes to our skill-based matchmaking to ensure better-quality games. This means matchmaking times are likely to be ever so slightly longer, but you should find yourselves in slightly closer matches". This is what killed the game for me and my friends. We were all loving it prior to this.
My idea for a ranked mode would be called HardCash where individual deaths costs money at a set rate lower than a team wipe. But the objective would be a koth type of match where control is goven to the team in the zone doing the most damage
do a map creator and rotate 2 player made maps every few months
Map creator would slap, I agree but for some reason they don’t really want that community touch in the game yet, maybe in the future because look at CS for example, some community maps are now fully in the game

Love this video so well thought out. Love the career page idea, love the LFG page that ties into your career page, love the sponsors idea. I've been saying ranked should be 3 rounds for a while now. Would help with tighter matchmaking and shorter queues
I don't even think they need a new gamemode, just update cashout mode to be a bit more competitive/balanced would be awesome. I think there should $$$ incentive for holding the cashout because right now ranked meta is try to wait out all the fights and be the last 3rd party to the cashout
Also shout out oscar and the embark devs they are amazing. I'm currently taking a break from the game after reaching diamond twice but eagerly waiting for new patches and improvements, think this game has a bright future

Really hope they start featuring the sponsors more. Games like the forza horizon series come to mind with signing contracts and June filling more of a "manager" role i.e. showing you the ropes and introducing you to influential figures. This would also be a really easy way to include lore in addition to the cinematics. I also think it would be really cool to see stuff like holographic ads for the seasons sponsors in the maps or the big tv screens all over the place switching between things like ads, gameshow slogans and showing off the player card of top performing players in that game.
Hope they add actual interesting stuff instead of skins which is nice to look at, not only me but others would like more game modes, and mostly all the things you've mentioned.
Yeah more game modes for sure
Some notes to consider with the anti-cheat is that having a kernel level anti-cheat is much more expensive than what most companies end up using for their anti-cheat. Any bugs in the software could be much more catastrophic than bugs found in a similar non-kernel anti-cheat, and so developing them is much more time consuming and expensive. I personally do not believe they are the answer. The time it would take for the devs to properly remove any cheat they found would be much larger than with a more traditional anti-cheat software. Some other options to consider would be ban waves, as they help to obfuscate what got the cheaters caught in the first place, and server side behavioral analysis.
It has been documented that players that are cheating behave differently than players that are not. The devs could use data gathered from players that are caught cheating to develop algorithms that would allow a system to detect cheaters without detecting cheats. The pitfalls of this would be the huge amounts of data that would need to be stored and processed, and a full fledged system like this may be out of reach for Embark, but if it is not it would go a long way to completely removing the cheating problem that the game is facing.
In summary, kernel-level anti-cheats are complex (not only to create, but to maintain), and may not be worth the time for embark, but implementing ban waves and behavioral analysis are some possible alternatives.
Yeah I like this, a great summary. I wanted to kind of show players that there isn't really an instant fix for cheating right now, because if there was then these billion dollar companies would have done so. Yes VALORANT has less cheaters, but the time to develop Kernal, cost and trust in it is just way across from developing better flags ran on server-side, behavioural analysis is the way.
how about we have something like a turnament of the day. like trackmanias cup of the day just with special sponsor prices or even in game coins

they should add a daily tournament in the evenings where you would play two or three tournaments in a row where only the winner advances. if they make it 16 teams first round and another 16 second round, thats already 256 teams that can participate. if thats not enough, they add another 8 team tournament on top and its 2048 teams that can take part. that would be a real finals then.
Yeah I think the good thing is that they have so much room to add new gamemodes and features, as the game is in such early stages, the bad thing is players aren't as patient as they were a few years ago, and they need everything now
@@THiiXY i mean they are competing with very established games. i think once the game has enough content and progression, many players will return.
I want COMMINITY HUB so bad. I'm grinding grinding grinding and after that I'm like for what? Just for showing my small diamond ranked badge? Thats not how should be. I like the idea and concept of flairs and player tags. Hope they gonna add something like that.

Very cool changes suggested here. In the long run they might be possible to be added but for the upcoming patch I don't see any major changes coming other than whatever gamemode is expected to come.
I want Embark to also start using the commentators to their full potential. Like the way they are now, them being AI generated is just a gimmick. Remember the first trailer for the closed beta? The commentators in that trailer actually sounded hype. I was soo hoping to get sound of the commentator going "Holy crap! Did you see that backstab Jun!". More like involved in what's happening in the match rather than just overall repetitive commentary like it is now. Like that'd give us actual information about the match. Like knowing which of the two opponent teams that are fighting on the other cashout are taking the upper hand. You can already get this information by pressing tab and seeing which player on which team died.
Tge way the commentators are rn, I just have them turned off because they don't give any information whatsoever, just random rambling.
Yeah I turned off the commentators too lol, also this patch will probably surprise you with some additional things, but either way exactly I think that commentator was like “AND HE GETS THE BACKSTAB, WHAT A STEAL” something like that, no idea what happened there lol
On the rockhou d game mode poll, i know a lot of people are tired of battle royales now, but honestly the finals would be super fun for battle royale. I just hope they dont use the current maps since they're pretty small, but I would trust Embark, with the maps especially, since they're ex-dice

Yeah they had solo bankit for a while and it was really fun, for ranked maybe a solo queue so everyone is solo, but again not enough players for it at the moment
Or just make it that if you are solo queuing you only (or mostly) play against other teams that solo queue
@@THiiXY I'd say, make a solo deathmatch mode, or bank it if they want to keep that element, and make it a separate ranked mode to give an opportunity for solo players to have a rank as well, similar to rocketleague
Solo game modes don't work on this game, believe it or not, it's a SQUAD based game.
1: i want more guns and gadgets maybe even gun customisation
2: more progression because right now i have nothing to play for, everything maxed out and the new challenges only last a few days. i could play ranked but I'm not really competitive like that.
i had an interesting idea about sponsor progression you mentioned, how about you have different sponsors to choose from and the longer you play the more sponsors you unlock but you can only pick one sponsor at a time and increase your rank with that sponsor. you get different rewards but you also need to represent that sponsor in some way. If you want to switch sponsor you can do at any time but your rank with the previous sponsor will slowly decrease. That way you cant be max rank with every sponsor and you have to pick what you want to represent.

Honestly, for ranked (especially in a team game), I’d like to see a Leetify style system for ranked, rather than a Win-Loss ELO system, or even the system that APEX has, where you get rewarded for specific actions done in game (kills, time alive, etc) so that good players still get rewarded, even if they lose.
Leetify is really cool yeah I loved using that when I was playing

I’m using F12 in game to remove it and I have no idea what’s going on in game with or without the UI hahaha, in all seriousness I’m just used to the damage dealt I guess :)
I think the high number of games you had to play before you could do tourneys / ranked during open beta was a pretty good anti-cheat. I felt a different level of confidence in the game when I hopped into ranked - like if I got beamed I felt impressed, not suspicious. Getting 1v3'd was like "time to git gud", not "time to report them". That is muddier now since a fresh account can get into anything pretty fast.
It makes me wonder if they could build that progression into the sponsor system somehow. Like you have to be sponsored to play ranked, you earn your sponsorship by playing other game modes and doing well, meeting challenges etc. Keep sucking and sponsor drops you, then you need to find a new one. Maybe sponsorship tokens that you earn by winning, and burn to buy into a ranked match. I dunno, just something to build some depth.
Yeah I agree, originally I thought that the number was too high but then I actually understood it was to combat cheaters away from ranked. Not sure what they have with that now but yeah I agree with you.

A short tourney and a long tourney would be fun. Sometimes I like to have enough time to just dig in and sweat in ranked, though I miss old tourney for my non-ranked minded friend.
Edit: Also, it'd be awesome if they're working towards a 5v5 ranked mode with attack and defense so my power shift team can hit some ranked

You still see the queue sniping, it is very bad for ranked, this in combination with cheaters and the lack of progression/ rewards after hitting diamond is why I stoped playing ranked all together. I am basically just waiting for next season to get diamond again.
Yeah I think I’m about to really hate pushing for diamond again but I agree, it’s not really worth it right now in this game, maybe another mode or something can contribute instead
i had an idea that they could add a new game mode like team/free for all deathmatch which will have an ability/gadget orbs throughout many points around the map that gives a random extra ability/gadget to be used for advantage and this can also help devs to test new gadgets/abilities before releasing to normal game modes. also i would like to see match history like career in valorant.

I will add twitch integrations so viewers can activate events for example the meteor shower activated for one of the viewers and then they make a shout out in game for that viewer

It's a very small thing but I think they need to allow for more loadouts, or at least several presets for skins within a loadout. I hate having to delete a character I made and like, just because I want to try some new skins I got, I want to be able to save them

if they do a Battle Royale I hope its atmost only like 30 players max. So either solos, 15 teams of 2 or 10 teams of 3. To keep the cash theme players could start with for example 10K cash each, unlimited respawns costing some cash, but you lose when you or your team reaches 0. As for the storm effect instead of draining HP; it drains the cash amount.
Yeah battle royale would be pretty wild in this game but definitely possible for sure
I'd rather any of the other modes, but I know BRs are something alot like & could be simple to add as an in between for development time to work on the others.
I believe Apex made the technology behind their ping system public knowledge a long time ago, shame more studios don't just implement it as a standard tbh
Yeah it’s really good, other games do try to implement it but they miss out on those things that make it good - a UI which isn’t too invasive but very informative
I would love to see the next map be a movie set then you could have a castle or wildwest town or like do rome as a map but like accient rome then you could do roman soldier sword and shield skin for the riot shield armour ect like get fun with it theres tons of cool ideas out there for a map

Hmm I asked a few friends that use XBOX and they said after a few games (4/5) sometimes the console gets hot so they restart it, I can raise that issue too

Yeah that would be cool, I think it’s mainly to keep server costs down but they could have a server that has 6 players in with 3 separate mini arenas to allow them to 1v1 on their own whilst sharing resources, like practise range

BF2042 had custom games with all those game altering options, it was called Portal and 99% servers were xp farms.
Yeah I was worried about that, hence why I didn’t go fully into detail because you’re right, maybe don’t have them as XP farms or reduce XP considerably? Difficult one
For me at least, the cheater problem hasn't really been that bad. Sure I've encountered a few but for 99% of my games, its cheater free. Even in one of my ranked tournaments one of the people that was cheating (beaming across the map with an akm) was gone the next time I managed to face their team, though I don't know whether it was 100% them being banned or leaving. Either way, the best response I think would be to NOTIFY players when a player they have reported or played against has been banned, as one of the problems I believe they are having is not really one of the anti-cheat effectiveness, but one of communication.
Yeah I keep saying about communication a lot and agree with you that it’s a big problem, especially when we are so in the dark about a lot of things happening right now. I know they are busy but they should surely have people that work in community comms etc

100% a game like TF needs a better social and network environment. For now we can only see if a friend is online or not. Thats so not enough. A game like this that you really need to group up so we perfom better at ranked. We need to at least if you’re JUST online or you’re in a game. And maybe accept requests to team up right after match is complete.. i have so many friends i made SOLOQUEIEING that i ve never player with again its not fun. For a game like this , team up and social things should be the one of the best since its so much required teamplay on this type of gameplay

10:25 what if each company you can get sponsored by had different sets of challenges themed to what the company does so maybe vaiiya would have challenges relating to defense because theyre a digital security company so if a player is really good at defense theyd have a high rank title with the vaiiya sponsor
I think a more simple solution to cheating is let’s say after two bans on the same network no one on that network can play the game again. The only way to fix it would be to buy a new router or something of the sort. That way it will cost cheaters to come out of pocket more. And if your household has multiple gamers and only one is cheating they’ll be held accountable by the rest. Because I know if I had to buy a new router because of my family trust there will be repercussions.
