- I'm drn and this is our final game in this week's midweek tournament, we're going up against Choine. They're all that stands between us and another winner medal, lets turn the heat on!

Hey it's Choiney. Happy I made the video! Was stumped that whole finals wasn't expecting or sure how to deal with all the crawlers and the boats. Hopefully next time I vs you it'll be a lot closer felt like a learned a ton!

@@Wootmanwashere Haha it does make for a very different (and long!) game. You can set up custom lobbies with up to 100,000 hp.
There's a player we puts up lobbies with game set to that HP and doesn't warn them, which I think is a bit mean. Was a bit of a shock the first time I played him and saw I'd signed up to a 45-60 minute game without realising it. Late game frame rates get very laggy and the builds almost always degenerate into Stormcallers + War Factories + Phoenix as everything else dies once you get enough of those three units.

Shown from round 1 the four things every board needs, and that lack of Anti-Air left them hanging in those opening rounds. You had a great economy running between giant, supply, and tech specialists keeping your money high each round and I forgot about the recycle tower upgrade which made those starting phoenixes which were great in the early game, just pay out even more from shifting their cash elsewhere
While those Typhoons can really tank for a moment, they feel like they suffer the same damage output problem the mustangs have, though they have the outstanding techs like scaling shields on two models which is really hard to pass up and keeps them very viable.
I love these slugging matches, fort vs fort and basically forcing a ground war with those anti air barrages when you have 6 of them on the board. No better pairing than heavy metal and big explosions.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Yep, do my best to cover the four pillars asap and then exploit what my opponent is weak in until I'm ready to go for the kill then we go hard. Fort vs Fort is 100% my jam. Love it when people agree to fight the mirror with me!
I've been watching you for a couple weeks now and I'm baffled you're not a bigger channel, you talk like a poet and fight like a demon, I'm excited and lulled to sleep at the same time, low key best commentary I've come across in a long time.

Oooh I like the idea! Hadn't even considered that one. Looking back at the footage though - think most of our Fangs were dead by the 20 second mark of the last round so to get the most out of it we'd have had to buy more Fangs and position them further back for later in the round.
Not sure if it's worth it considering we could just buy two Forts that we already had double teched already but thanks for reminding me about Ignite, it's not something I use a lot!
@@Drone_101 you would be surprised the fangs would have been able to kill the balls in those 20secs or at least enough of them so that your forts would last much much longer course that's all a game of what ifs cheers for the intellectual dance as always DRN looking forward to the next vid

Honestly, your very chill and reflective style of commentary has been really enjoyable, makes me almost wanna get into the game proper! (if only there were more hours in the day for it...)
Thanks! It's all good, not every game is for every player and PvP games with this much depth can be quite daunting. It's perfectly okay to just enjoy the game for what it is and chill with it! I play almost as much 2v2 Survival as I do 1v1 Tourny games.

Haha, you're far too kind but I will have to be the first to admit I've not watched a lot of anime. Only things I've seen are Spy X Family, Attack on Titan, Stein's Gate, Angel Beats and Frieren.

I love your little quarrel with Editing drn. That was fun to listen, even if it was not as fun to blur the screen.
Also, it seems that I should check out Frieren. I'm not really a fan of anime or manga, but I like to try out new things, and so far, a lot of anime fans seem to like it, which is usually a good sign.
Haha, drn and editting drn get along most of the time. Editting drn pretends to be grumpy but he loves learning new tricks in the editing software :D
Frieren is great! If you're totally not into a slower paced animated show then it's not for you and that's fine. For me it was a nice breath of fresh air with a wonderful world and a very wholesome story.
That opponent played quite well, if he had just taken something other than the sabres with tech he might have dragged that game out fr a few more rounds.
Yep they were really solid for most of the game. A few small positional choices that were a little off-standard but I'm sure could work in the right setup. Just that Sabertooth pick pre-balance patch was a bit punishing in hindsight.

Sure I'm using KdenLive on my Linux machine and slowly learning DaVinci Resolve on my windows machine because there's some visual effects I just can't replicate on Kden.
I'm a simple country mech. I see big forts, I press like. I see a line of big forts pressing against each other, I press like again, then again because I accidentally unliked the video

Sorry not that I'm aware of! Have a personal sheet I keep updating each patch but it's a mess that I doubt anyone else could really use. Let me know if you find a good one!

Not sure I fully qualify as a weeb but appreciate the intention! I've only watched a handful of anime shows over the years - Spy x Family, Frieren, Stein's Gate, Attack on Titan and Angel Beats. Hope you enjoy Frieren, I think it's an absolute masterpeice - but maybe I was just in the right stage of life and feeling nostalgic for days past when I saw it! Interested to know if you enjoyed it :D

@@BorisKashirin That's awesome! Bet it adds a ton of depth to things you watch. Have you seen Shogun the TV show? The representation of historical Japan is such an alien culture to me I can't even comprehend most of it :D
@@Drone_101 I mostly like shows like Frieren, so cant say I really understand the culture, but yes, it adds a lot of depth, you can notice easter eggs and i really into voices. On the other hand i read a bit about staff like signalling theory and can appreciate how arbitrary our current values are, it helps somewhat. Haven't seen Shogun, there was one samurai movie that i liked, "The Hidden Blade" but it is set at much later date so much easier and relatable?
