Thank you everyone for the wonderful messages and feedback. I feel sad watching the news about Sudan now, and often feel helpless. This is the one way I know how to help: telling the story of the land and its beautiful people. I’m praying for peace in Sudan. If you’d like to see more, I have 3 more videos on my channel from the first weeks in the country! Much love to all ❤️🇸🇩
as a sudanese ive never seen anyone on earth show my country in this way i hope sudan showed and still would show u love the way u showed sudan and its ppl i hope personally u find ur way back to us , till then take good care our prayers are with u
Ryan, I don’t even know where to start. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting Sudan and capturing its beauty in such a genuine, touching way. Watching your video left me in tears-not just because of the memories it brought back, but because of the deep longing it awakened in me. With everything Sudan is going through now, it’s hard to put into words how much we ache for the life we once had-the simplicity, the joy, the sense of home. Living in another country, no matter how fascinating or comfortable, never fills that void. Sudan isn’t just where we’re from-it’s a part of who we are, and being away feels like leaving a piece of ourselves behind. Your video reminded me of the warmth, the beauty, and the soul of Sudan that we hold onto so tightly, even from afar. Thank you for showing the world the Sudan we know and love, especially during such a difficult time. It’s a gift I’ll never forget, and I’m so grateful you chose to share it with us.
I’ve been crying for an hour, thank you for reminding me how beautiful my homeland is, i pray that one day we all get to go back & relive this version of Sudan again.
It’s been over three years since I left home, and just a week ago, I felt a pang of homesickness. I was wondering how generous we are as a society. I thought our actions were normal, but I just found out they’re actually really great. Your video brought back a lot of memories, and I couldn’t help but shed a tear. I hope things get back to normal soon. Thanks so much for sharing your voice with us.
Tears literally fell as I watched your videos about my homeland, Sudan. Thank you for shedding light on the authenticity and rich heritage of our kind and peaceful people, who are being targeted for their resources and wealth. Thank you so much, and praise be to God that you made it out safely.
thank you Ryan for showing what was truly there and what we used to be.. after two years and all that happening am glad someone still remembers the true sudan
Thank you Flo it’s really really not just a video it’s a beautiful journey showing details of our lives and our culture In a way other than everyone imagines. Thank you once again and hope to come back soon.
This documentation of sudan is AMAZING! As a a sudanese (like the comments below😂) I'm actually impressed by the beauty of Sudan and sudanese people myself! Thank you Flo for showing a different perspective of Sudan, thanks to your other traveling friends, and your sudanese friends for showing such generosity and kindness and showing the world the beauty of our sudanese families. watching this video while at work in a foreign country, after I escaped my country Sudan beecause of the war, actually made me tear up, and brought up many memories from our lives in Sudan, khartoum specifically. We will get back to Sudan sometime soon, after the war is over, and we will welcome all of you guys one more time to our houses in Khartoum.🤍
This video brought back memories dear to the heart of every Sudanese in this time of war (memories of simple daily life). Thank you for sharing these memories from your perspective, and thank you for visiting our dear country We all strive to come back better than we were, to build higher, to shine brighter, and to smile more. I hope that one day you will be able to see our country from our eyes, and see the date gardens in the north, and the shower of comets in the darkness of the desert, and Mount Tutil that hug the city of Kassala, and the plant diversity in the Arkuit Heights, and the hills of the Red Sea On the way to the crystal waters of Suakin, and the coral reefs of Port Sudan, and the city of El Obeid, which is called the “Bride of the Sands”,and the green mountain " Marra" and its fantastic orchards, and much more that I have not written about.
That sounds so incredibly magical and beautiful. I wish I could see it, but I wish a lot more that you people of Sudan can see it and enjoy it, and maybe show it yourself, when all this suffering ends. My heart goes out to you and your lovely country. ❤️

Hello Florence ❤ really appreciate and Love your vedio about Sudan ❤ But 0:49 the conflict in sudan is often misunderstood. It is not a civil war; rather, it is a war caused by rebel militias targeting innocent, unarmed civilians. The national army is defending these citizens and working to restore peace and stability. This distinction is important to truly grasp the nature of what is happening in our home sudan 🙏🏻 Thank you So much for this amazing vedio again ❤
