If Bangladesh was with India we could not eat beef and our Muslim women would go to school without hijab. So for me as a Bangladeshi Muhammad Ali Jinnah is a great hero.
Perhaps sometimes separation is better to love your closed ones more. As a Bangladeshi, I think the country that benefitted the most from India Pakistan separation is our Bangladesh. Bangladesh kept our Bangla language and culture more protected. Actually, Bangladesh represents the oppressed low caste Hindus and the oppressed low caste Hindus who later on converted to Islam. We tend to forget that the high caste Bangali land lords used to have their palaces in Kolkata and from there they used to rule the poor East Bangalis as the Jamindars or Land Lords. Those oppressed Bangalis supported the Pakistan movement to seek some breathing space and freedom from the powerful Hindu Land Lords of West Bengal. So we decided to be part of East Pakistan. But then we have noticed West Pakistanis want to be our rulers too. So, in 1971 East Bengal or East Pakistan became my beautiful Bangladesh. No doubt India helped us 1971; but we East Bengalis also helped Indian freedom from the British Rule. A lot of Indians tend to forget that. Since Independence Bangladesh is progressing. Now, we should do more business with India and Pakistan. But we Bangladeshis must keep our distance from Indians and Pakistanis at the same time; because they hate and look down on Bangladeshis. This is a fact. Bangladeshi tourism and import dependency with India must be reduced in the near future. We should have stronger border walls with India and grow our own cattle. We should strictly reduce any religious extremism at all cost. I do not want my beautiful Bangladesh to become the next Pakistan or Afghanistan. We should look towards the further east and try to follow Singapore and Malaysian model of economy and develop Bangladesh. Jodi tor dak shune keo naa ashe tobe ekla cholo re. I remember when I was a kid I used to watch cricket and I used to believe that the Indian team is our team because people are similar to us but then I was told that they are our enemy. But I don't believe this point, because if we are enemies then how come our ancestors lived happily for hundreds of years.
Indians and Pakistani outside their countries in abroad respect each other and work together but when they are in their country these politicians keep on reminding us that we are enemies. Dear Dhruv Ji, I have come across this video bit late but I feel I must commend you for this video. I wish India was united but big and cleaver powers took advantage of our ignorance and divided us. For the time being I wish leadership on both sides lowers the reteach and let people visit each other like USA and Canada. This will lead people to know each other and love each other. As a Bangladeshi, I highly support partition. Though Democracy or Freedom of speech is declining in our country, at least we are a sovereign state. Religion is not an obstacle for being reunited at all. It's the western world which is trying to make a united Europe in their own region and also trying to employment the theory of "Divide and Rule" in the rest of the world. The more thay divide the world the more benefit they will get in the name of their so called " US interest". So that be educated at first and make others educated in this region. Only then we will be able to remove the influence of the foreign country from our land and will be united automatically.

I am from Pakistan( KPK; Bannu).Many times I heard from my elders about the brotherhood and peaceful coexistence between the Muslims and Hindus before partition. They used to call those days as golden days ...they have many Hindu friends in Bannu ....many of whom migrated to India after partition.....whom they missed a lot..
