    In my shop we have theorized that with the paint peeling off the glass on s6/s7 is maybe because of UV damage (sunlight) exposure. We think that it can weaken the paint's adhesion to the glass and then causes this de-lamination when you go to remove the rear glass or screen. Not sure if that's true but I feel like it's the best reason that we have come up with for the peeling paint. We now have to tell pretty much any customer that comes in that it's possible that this can happen given the age of the device. Good video man, I learn a lot from your good reasoning and diagnosis skills.

    Samsung use some strong glue on the back and once removed it will never be the same. Dropped my brand new Samsung S9+ and broke the back glass, ordered new back and its not as good. Probably not even water resistant any more. Keep up the good work Sorin.

    • @SoadGr69
      @SoadGr69 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's common on the S6 to lose the coloring when you remove the back cover. It was the first transition from Samsung in the S6 to back glass cover and the new design had it flaws when first out on production. Rest of the S line is fine when you remove the back cover. Also if you have opened your device even by replacing the stickers with the original samsung ones you wont achieve the same water resistance you get when the phone is new.

    Sorin, Stop worrying about simple repairs, it's income and you are still helping people with safe methods of repair :-D..
    The copper in the charge cables is too thin for the current, i would use the old connectors and solder better cable to them (a reliable test cable).
    Try white alarm wiring cable :-D

    Been following you for quite a while now and I am able to change a charging port and fix other basic stuff but like you said once "dagnosis is important than to fix". Problem is that to diagnose a phone you one must understand how its circuit works. That being the case, we would be most grateful if you could please share your views on how do different sections i.e network, charging and display etc of a smartphone's circuit work.

    when the color starts to peel on these phones, We use LOCA to readhere the color, it also makes it look the same color and not the gold color you see in the video. This only works for small areas.

    I have a Samsung s7edge. Did it al the same like you did. No luck still dead.
    Some one try to heat something. Under the shield. They giving me the phone to repair no charging yob. What can i do now? I did not see the flux before. They let me pay for the broken phone €275. I did not see you do something to test if evertthing is all right. They did place a originel backcover. And there was nothing to see there. To regonice someone did open it before.
    What can i test? So it wil not happen in the future.

    Man you are really good! Would you mind to suggest me what should do with my S6? I have an S6 Edge just like yours and now it`s not turning on anymore. One night, we went to sleep and we left it charging as regularly, next morning it was dead. Zero life signal. I sent it already to 2 recover centers and on both occasions it came back with the statement "it`s completely dead". Is there anything I can do to save it? the only signals he gives is when you plug the charger it gets hot as usual, like if it were charging, and when you place it over a wireless charger, the charger turns the blue light on. What you think it could be? thanks!

    I left my Samsung S6 on charger for 10 hours and couldn't start it after.
    So I thought my battery (it's was in bad condition overall) was dead.
    So I replaced it with new battery, when I start the phone, only light blue LED gets turned on- solid. (when I try with old battery, it doesn't even start blue LED - so old is probably dead).
    When I put it on charger, nothing happens. No % charging. (I tried everything - power but+home+vol up/down, all combinations, etc., nothing works)
    What could be the problem?

    • @rhuephus
      @rhuephus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      starting with the S6 and onward, Samsung made the genius move to make batteries impossible to replace .. that way you would buy a new phone .. the same crappy marketing caca that Apple uses ...

    • @RicardoPenders
      @RicardoPenders 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rhuephus I do have to say that my phone has become very very slow, if I restart it takes at least 5 to 10 minutes and lately I have an issue that System-UI keeps hanging and when that happens almost every other system application keep hanging too and get in a loop which keeps those apps in high priority thus my phone will be unusable for several hours, and when I restart the phone at that point it will take hours before I can use it again.

    I said this on another video, but why not post it again, maybe you have some use for it in the future. The paint is does not come off so easily if you heat the phone a lot more, to the point where it is so hot you can't keep your finger on the glass. Not lava hot, but uncomfortably hot. And the next thing is to use a suction tool, a vacuum tool, whatever you call it, and lift the glass up before using your metal tool only to cut the glue, don't touch the glass with it! It takes only a minute or two more to do it this way, because of the longer heating and slow cutting of glue, but you will have a much much better chance of leaving the back glass in 100% condition. Nice video by the way
