I changed a s6 charge port the same way today. No paint came off the back but a small corner on the screen had stuck to the frame. Raised the charge port and placed a metal opening tool under the charge connector board. Worked like a dream, all after watching this video. I will never remove a screen to do a charge port repair ever again. No need to. Brilliant work, and a lot quicker.

I tried this on my S7 Edge cause I saw you the only different thing I did was put a small metal plate underneath the charging port and instead of using yellow tape were you used it I used aluminum tape and I didnt get that burn, thanks and I did think about doing it twice before doing it.

there money back..It might not even be the original watch you sold them..I have seen
    many scams pulled

The thing he said about the back isn't true. It might be harder to repair than some phones, but with enough heat and a suction tool it comes of easy and it doesn't damage the paint. When you don't have a high enough temperature and don't use a suction tool, this is what you get.

Why not use hot air from the top of the replacement fibre other the back of it n save the home button. Like u did with the original one when removing the charging port.

What a pro well done and very detailed video but i don't have that many specialist tools. Luckily i only got minor damage to the paint at the top but in blue colour its barely noticeable.

Hot air guns are cheap, guitar picks are cheap, charging ports are cheap. You could do this with a magnifying lamp, a steady hand, and about $60 worth of equipment.

new solderings with different materials change the impedance/resistivity/conductivity of the connector. esp if the varnish makes a bound between the VCC and ground all around. it happens, especially with chinese crap.

even just using ethanol to soften the battery glass glue and and getting in with an iflex tool would improve the chances of not removing the paint drastically.

Why don't you try to use hot air to solder the connector back? I've seen somebody doing it and it seemed not that hard. He put some wooden spatula under the connector, to protect the frame/lcd.
