The F(x)tec PRO¹ X is an absolute disaster

- I was excited when I backed the F(x)tec PRO¹ X on Indiegogo a few years ago. Despite being disappointed with the device that landed, I accepted it as a by-product of the "new normal."
But then something happened...

:( THANKS for sharing! SO TRUE! After 3 years, finally got my $700 BRICK! Can;t make calls, mic does NOT work, and going to speaker, just squeals! Not even a real Cell phone, total WASTE! Midrange specs for a non-working device! STAY AWAY!!!!
Don't send it back. I've been waiting a year for a replacement.
I'm still waiting on mine. I planned to get it setup, and then install Lineage on my Sony Xperia 1 ii since the 3 years of support is over. I hope mine PRO¹ charges when it gets to me.
I dunno man...kudos for supporting the kickstarter...and shame on FXTech for not honouring their kickstarter contributors by giving the 5 9s of customer support (above normal customers)...
But, it's a startup. It's too bad that 'robustness' doesn't usurp 'competitive release' but it doesn't. Even the first iPhone 1st gen didn't have 3g down pat when it was being revealed (there was a 3g receiver on stage during Jobs' keynote). This being said, the Cupertino boys still got it together for their customers for release day.
If you're gonna be on the bleeding edge...youse gon' bleed.
"life's too short to..." swap the battery on your phone, apparently.
...and start the problem all over again.
If you buy a rechargable device, you expect to be able to recharge it. I you don't, then I've got to wonder why?
Frankly, this is one of the reasons I bought the phone bundle to have the option to swap the battery. Fxtec finally contacted me to confirm my shipment.
I ordered the 8gig model. Hopefully I get the extra battery and screen I purchased but not holding my breath at this point.
Also unimpressed about the lack of HDMI output.
