Moist is so criminally underrated. My absolute favourite Canadian band.

My favourite band of all time. Unfortunately they became almost all but forgotten when they went on a 13 year hiatus. I guess it could also be contributed to the marketing, or lack there of, of Mercedes 5 & Dime. There could've been some solid singles off of that record, but unfortunately people didn't get to hear them (Alive, Mandolin, Fish, Place). Sure Breathe and Underground are great songs. But, they just weren't heavy enough like the previous two records' singles. So fans thought they'd gone soft. And Comes & Goes didn't even have a video.
Also, with the release of Glory Under Dangerous Skies.... Where the hell were the videos for the two singles that were released? People still watch videos, despite where the direction Much Music has gone. One of the biggest Canadian bands in the 90s and a lot of people didn't even know they had a reunion.

Bryan M did you like Glory Under Dangerous Skies? I thought it was really good. All four of their albums I’ve thought were quite good.

I think the marketing for Mercedes 5 & Dime was tied into Edgefest '99. I bought my copy at Edgefest and it got me in to meet the guys and get it signed. They were my main reason to attend so it was a huge bonus.

david usher is doing his solo stuff... sadly his brilliance doesn't get the same attention as Justin Beiber's cookie-cutterness

David Usher was born in 1966, Bieber was born in 94. It stand to reason that Bieber would currently be far more popular, given he had TH-cam and social media. It's also apples and oranges comparing their music.
