Amazing that they named the blue cassette guy FIRRIB, the acronym for "Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue" while naming the red guy FIBRIR or "Frenzy is Blue, Rumble is Red".
I just love the little nod to the fandom they made with Frenzy and Rumbles names for these versions (for context both of their names are acronyms, FIBRIR- Frenzy is Blue, Rumble is Red, and FIRRIB- Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue). Goes to show the amount of love and dedication that went into these figures

They also have working earphones that are rumble and frenzy, those where a fucking travesty though and it annoying that you had to swap out soundwaves hands to be able to use his guns when in robot mode so I just left it in the box
I think the reason why the transformation is relatively simple is mainly due to the original toy being as good as it was. Helps that the cartoon didn't overly modifie his designe to an exaggerated degree. Like others I'm not mentioning *Galces towards G1 Megatron*
Totally agree - the original toy was one of the few toys from the G1 that was a great looking robot with good movement and great walkmen. Most of the G1 Autobot vehicles were ugly looking in robot mode.
As a guy born in the mid-1980's, I thoroughly enjoyed this review. It was amazing, and the satisfaction of hearing those joints was sublime. (I think I found my satisfying ASMR... wow.) And, as someone who saw gen one on mornings and afternoons as a child, along with the older g-1 toys, yes, it is accurate. Also, I knew micro-cassettes as just "cassette tapes," and VHS tapes as simply "video tapes."
As a somewhat new collector, I'm not exactly ready to spend almost $300 on something just yet, but this is definitely what a masterpiece should be. 3rd party witchcraft just keeps impressing the shit outta me

I remember when Jobby reviewed the SS Blackout, the wobbly "butterfly joint" wasn't a butterfly joint because it was unintentional. Now fast forward to the present, and Jobby untabbed Totally Not Soundwave's shoulders to get a butterfly joint. It's not really a complaint, I just find that funny.
We probably will never get a soundwave figure on the market better than this, the price is crazy tho but i would still say it's worth it. Good video as always keep up the good work Jobby!
As a long time fan when jobby got to the alt mode I was like he's calling it perfect....he's definitely gonna mention the lack of there being a GAP in the back cause in his MP Soundwave video that was a huge nit pick he had that it wasn't a complete brick but this one is so 👌
The cassette player robots are so much fun to play with, with the ejecting ports for the players, feels like when you catch a baseball in the sweet spot of your glove

Literally haven’t bought a transformer toy in over 10 years and haven’t seen the original movie or show since I was a kid, but G1 Soundwave was always my absolute favorite and as a kid I always dreamed of being able to buy a G1 Soundwave toy (back then thinking $30 was a lot lol) As soon as I watched this video I practically ordered this on the spot, even at its steep price, this looks absolutely amazing and is everything I could’ve ever hoped for in a G1 Soundwave figure, I can’t wait till it arrives!

For this who dont know the minicons are called laser beak,rumble,frenzy,and ravage 1.birb 2. A destroyer 3. In the movie he is a hacker and a hard to kill robot 4.Tiger/Cat
Man this thing looks amazing! The replacement parts to give the figure a toy accurate look are cool as well. My only real issue is that Rumble (Sue me) is blue in his cassette mode which is inaccurate, although is seems as though it would be easy enough to re-paint or re-sticker.
This ... right here ... is the the true Soundwave toy of my dreams! Practically everything is 1:1 to the movie. Ever since I saw Soundwave in the OG movie launch his little mini cassettes that transforms, he became my favorite transformer ever. I have the original toy of soundwave and the Netflix War for Cybertron version. But I wish that someday I own this true masterpiece of a toy.
when it comes to who's Rumble and who's Frenzy, both are technically correct. yes in the cartoon Rumble is blue and Frenzy is red, but when sold as toys, Rumble is red and Frenzy is blue. so either or is fine, it's just up to preference

Literally haven’t bought a transformer toy in over 10 years and haven’t seen the original movie or show since I was a kid, but G1 Soundwave was always my absolute favorite and as a kid I always dreamed of being able to buy a G1 Soundwave toy (back then thinking $30 was a lot lol) As soon as I watched this video I practically ordered this on the spot, even at its steep price, this looks absolutely amazing and is everything I could’ve ever hoped for in a G1 Soundwave figure, I can’t wait till it arrives!

Man this thing looks amazing! The replacement parts to give the figure a toy accurate look are cool as well. My only real issue is that Rumble (Sue me) is blue in his cassette mode which is inaccurate, although is seems as though it would be easy enough to re-paint or re-sticker.

This ... right here ... is the the true Soundwave toy of my dreams! Practically everything is 1:1 to the movie. Ever since I saw Soundwave in the OG movie launch his little mini cassettes that transforms, he became my favorite transformer ever. I have the original toy of soundwave and the Netflix War for Cybertron version. But I wish that someday I own this true masterpiece of a toy.
I'm sorry Jobby, but I couldn't help but laugh when you mentioned Ravage in his cassette mode looking like a cat that got stuck in a hydraulic press.

when it comes to who's Rumble and who's Frenzy, both are technically correct. yes in the cartoon Rumble is blue and Frenzy is red, but when sold as toys, Rumble is red and Frenzy is blue. so either or is fine, it's just up to preference
