Hi Alan, so glad you're reviewing the 36mm Sealander, especially against the BB36, as I'm currently considering buying either one. As the CW 36 is just starting to trickle onto TH-cam it's hard to make an informed comparison between the two. Keep up the great work ya doing an excellent job👍
I don’t know if you made your decision yet however, I’ve been pondering the same. As of today I lean towards CW and here is why. The BB36 uses the eta while CW uses SW. so no real “prestige from TUDOR. The CW is wayyy cheaper and still looks amazing. Tough choice but logic says CW. If money were no thing explorer 1 hahah
I really love the partial body shots you did in some of your other videos eg the shots of the bb58 from 19:35-19:50 ish in the bb36 vs bb58 video. This gives a great idea of how the watch looks to others. I’d love to see the same shot of the c63 and trident in your next video!
Thanks for the video, great to see this watch on several different straps. But I wish they made the 39mm version monochromatic too!! Instead of the cheesy red on the dial. I am still hoping they produce a pro 300 with a pro 600 bezel instead.. Or just a slimmer pro 600 version without the name on the dial.
The C63 looks absolutely amazing 🤩 I'm really thinking about getting one myself. But I think I'll wait and see if they have some other interesting limited editions in the future. The first 4 colors were not really for me. Looking forward to your full review :)
Good review. Was looking at a new watch to replace a Hamilton Khaki 38. Was all but settled on a Longines Spirit 37 black dial (£2100) having seen one in person in a shop and one was in my basket - one click away. It is without question a lovely watch. Then this CW Sealander popped up in a random search; never heard of CW before. Researched the make and liked the look of the Sealander black dial 36. Ordered it over the Longines Spirit for four reasons: (1) preferred the case design with its screw down crown and crown protectors, (2) preferred the baton style of dial over numerals, (3) liked the 60 day return, and (4) the watch was £1400 cheaper.
Some great points! I agree with all of them. I tried on the longines and expected to love it but I didn’t feel it for some reason and still not too sure why 👍
It's arrived! Well done mate. When I bought my 39mm 2 weeks ago I got a blue one black leather with the new logo. I fancied a black one but wanted the new logo. Yours looks stunning, seeing the difficulties you're having ( I'm visually impaired) ill definitely get CW to adjust a bracelet when 8 order one. I really like your Trident 300 too but I can't justify yet another diver! Look forward to the full review.
Thank you, glad I watched the review the watch looks great, its made mind up to pull the trigger and pay the extra to get cw to resize👍I had the same issue with my speedmaster bracelet and ended up taking it in the ad to get it re-sized, those screws each side are a nightmare 😬
I noticed you've got the new CW C60 300 and also the new Sealander 36mm, will you keep both, do you have a preference? I've had a few mk3 C60 600 watches, in 38 and 40mm and in blue and black, but really like the look of the new slim 300, but also like the look of the C63!
Nice review as always! How does this stack up against a Sinn 556i in your view? For a versatile watch I potentially slightly prefer the slightly dressier applied markers and dimensions of the CW. My concern is the crystal and dial, because the Sinn AR and glossy dial is so sharp. What's the crystal quality like on this?
Thank you. I’d say, for the reasons you mentioned, that the CW is a lot more versatile. I find the crystal and ar coating are good but the sinn is a bit special with the outer ar coating doing an amazing job too. Probably room for both in the collection for different reasons I’d say 👍
Hi! Thanks for the review, I think that there was some kind of problem with upload, because it is only available the 360p quality. I hope that 1080p will come soon 😂
Ahhh, it’s actually 4k but sometimes takes a bit of time to be available properly. Hopefully it resolved shortly before people think it is only uploaded in 360p 🙈😊👍
@@Time_and_time_again I will check in 30/60 minutes because I was searching for this watch review so hard 🤣🤣 at first impression, it looks like the new clasp is too long for small wrists like mine and yours (I think we have the same measure). Sad to see this particular :( Do you think that we can get a smaller clasp from CW if we request it?
Loved the strap change outs at the end! This watch is obviously very versatile that way. Curious what the last black with red stripes watch band brand is? Thanks!
Ree we ally interested but have a 7in wrist and not sure if it might be a tad small- looks great on your wrist though mate, will have a think before I buy 👍🏼👍🏼
So before you had 556i then got 556a and liked it more ? Can you explain please what was the reason ? You didn’t like the glossy dial of 556i or maybe some other reasons? Also 556a matte dial is it similar to bb58 matte dial or it’s more grayish? I like 556a but don’t want it to look grayish. Want some black/white watch in my collection. Thanks 🙏
I bought an LE version. Tbh, I would rather there wasnt so much packaging, thats just me. Resized bracelet myself, dual screws (two screwdrivers will do it) its typical glue normally applied before screw goes on. If stubborn, briefly heat screws very carefully with heatgun, or easier with a hairdryer on high heat. Have same at 6.25 wrist, I took 2 regular links from one side, and from other side 1 reg link and a half sized link. That should leave the watch in middle setting of the 5 point micro adjust clasp. Love this watch so much, considering buying another in the black
Some times screws can ruin the first impression of ownership, I bought an Omega seamaster and the screws had so much lock tight the screws had to be heated with a torch by a watch maker to size mine. I was a bit nervous watching him put fire to my new watch but it was fine.
Don’t blame you for taking that to a watch maker! 😊 Yeah it’s a little disappointing when it’s not straight forward isn’t it. Hopefully I can manage this one anyway 🙏👍
I have tiny hands but I'm able to hold a screwdriver in my left hand whilst holding the watch and then I use another screwdriver in my right hand to unscrew - whilst keeping the other screwdriver locked in my left hand 😆 It is a bit of a ball ache but it's only the one time you have to do it. I've seen some micro brands that provide mini screw drivers

Thank you. I’m just out at the moment but home later I will add of the links to the straps in the description. In fact, if you check out my trident pro 300 unboxing most of them are in that description 😊👍
Another great video, i’ve been waiting to see this one for a while! Is it my eyes or are the trident end links a hair longer than those on the c63 bracelet and stick out a bit? Do the c63 end links match the ends of the lugs nicely? I’d love to see a 3 way lume battle between the two CWs and the BB36! Also can’t wait to hear your thoughts on how this stacks up against the trident and bb36.
Also I notice there is a ring of light reflecting from the bevel at the edges of the crystal. Is this always visible or just under the strong lighting of the video? Does this bother you at all or do you like it? Cheers!
Thank you mate! I’ll try and measure that and have a good close look for you. I think the bevel on the bezel does catch the light but only really noticeable in bright conditions. It’s not really something that’s been on my mind and haven’t had that thought to be honest but I’ll be looking closer now haha. I will update on the review in a couple days and see if I can do the lume comparisons for you too mate 🙏👍
Actually mate… I’ve just checked the end links and… you’re right! The trident end links do over hang slightly further than the lugs but the sealander bracelet fits perfectly!!! Well spotted my friend 😊👍
Nice pick-up Alan! I’m a big fan of CW too and recently picked up the Trident 300 Pro in 2 different dial colours. What makes you go for the Sealander after your Trident?
Hi mate, I’d ordered this one prior to the release of the trident but decided to try both. They are quite similar so there will be a decision to be made on letting one go at some point I think! They are different styles though so maybe I’ll keep both 😊👍
Really good honest video. I'm so torn between this epically with the current discount or saving for a bit more for a tudor bb36, so can't wait to see how they compare! What is the white strap you have it on in the end??

Hey, Alan! Love the unboxing, I pre-ordered a white 36mm on the bracelet myself. I don't trust myself with resizing the bracelet so I'm planning on taking it to a local watch repair shop. I am a bit nervous seeing how tough it is for you and a few others. Any luck so far?
Hi there, haven’t had chance to have another go at the bracelet yet but I’d imagine that with the right tools I can get it done. Just kept it on the trident bracelet for now as it’s the same bracelet. Will update further in a couple of days with my short term review 🙏👍
Thanks for showing all those different straps, looks killer!

Hi Alan, what’s your wrist size? Trying to find if the 36 or 39 is best for me on my 7inch wrist
Sorry for the late reply (I had taken a break) it’s 6”! I may go for the 39 if I was 7” 👍
Looks great ! CW really nailed the home run with the explorer look with the c63. Thanks for the unboxing once again m8!
