Coincidence doesn’t exist 😉 And what a lovely watch, great looking dial and at a seasonable price. It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend insane amounts of money to get a very nice looking watch.

I feel like many watch TH-camrs are too far up their own ass and it comes across negatively. Your video was informative without making me feel like a moron 😂 this watch is definitely on my shortlist for my second watch in the near future!
I own three CW C60’s-600. CW is a secret many are unaware of. I find it to be one of the best quality -value watchmakers on the market and it has spots in the box with my nicest watches.
Thanks for the video on this, Britt. I’m pleased and a little relieved to hear what you have to say, having already bought a titanium version online, almost straightaway after learning about it. The Twelve does look superb and all things considered, the price point makes it a bit of a no brainer. Great content, as ever. 🙌👊🙏
A bit of WIS trivia.... the JLC Reverso Gran sport, from the 1990s, has a bracelet butterfly clasp with on-the-fly micro adjustment...no real excuse for any of the manufacturers now, almost 20 years later, not to be able to replicate it. Great video as always!

Christopher Ward seems to have a trend (guiding principle?) where to get the COSC movement you have to take something not to everyone's taste. On the Sealander and Dune you have to get the bronze version. With the twelve, you have to take the saturated fume clown colors on the dials of the titanium version instead of the steel that has tamer color choices.
This watch is a tremendous value. Does it draw inspiration from other sources? Of course it does. Does it also significantly improve upon many of those inspirations? Absolutely. I can’t wait to get one in purple. 💜
I have one of these it is my weekend watch, I only have 4 watches, a low end citizen eco drive (but has a sapphire crystal), a seiko 5 series (2 years old) and a baume & mercier dress watch as well as the 12. The eco drive is reserved for using when doing the garden etc., the 5 for other week day use and the b&m for formal use. I LOVE the 12 - looks good but very sturdy and keeps good time!
Glad its another option for folks looking for integrated bracelet watch options; but CW is one of those brands, like Oris, where in theory I should dig them - but no. Watch is nice, but reminds me of the Yema and Nivada offerings. For me, the Tissot PRX gives the same for a tad less, and Fredrique Constant High Life gets you something nicer for a bit more. Also, I own both of those, so, yeah, bias. 😂
Very insightful, and comical, review on what’s looks to be such a great timepiece, especially at the price point! Sounding great and hope the healing process is at the tail end of the recovery.
I think that the conversation around "is this just a homage watch" is a bit ironic considering that besides the AP, Patek, the IWC and maaaaaybe the Octo (depending on which story is correct), anything else with an integrated bracelet look is going to be some form of "homage" watch, including most of the watches that the Twelve is currently being compared to! But i think that you nailed it: its art done correctly in a world absent of anything really new or novel, and from that perspective this is a gorgeous watch from where im sitting. Now, if only Ch.Ward can figure out a logo that actually fits their watches and adds to the overall design, I'd be over the moon. Maybe 5th time could be the charm?
Great review Britt, as much as hardline watch enthusiasts talk about this being a ripoff of the Czapek, it sure is getting CW more marketing traction. Really liked your call out about the “rip off” claims. CW is making some great pieces for the price point. Loving my Sealander.
I think "Editing Brittney" stole the show of this video with its revelation of this watch's design. The best review video out there for the Twelve. Great job Watch Gringa.
The 36mm version is said to be released in September, I’d shoot for the white dial but the Tissot prx 35mm with the powermatic 80 white/mop dial should be officially released in the next month or so…I’ve been between these two watches for a bit now as I want to keep my collection as small as possible lol, think I’ll end up with the prx though, cheaper and closer looking to my dream AP the 15450, solid vid Brit 🤝
I’ve heard this rumour too!! I would DIE for a 36mm. I think that’s what I’ll be holding out for. So many strong integrated bracelet offerings tho. Tissot is absolutely killing it with the PRX!
@MADLITS1K I just got my 35mm prx mop dial. Fucking awesome! Worth every penny...and more. I have other higher priced watches(only 2, lol) and this prx 35mm is no slouch!!
A lovely piece, but they really need to make all the dials available in the titanium. A bit silly and poor form imo to force one to get loud dial colors to experience the upgraded material and movement.
I just think the XII is so much more interesting than the PRX. The finishing is on another level and it wears smaller than the PRX. I’d order the ti if only my wife didn’t recently ok my Bel Canto order. 😬 Great review as always. 👍
I’m pretty sure they are releasing the 36mm version as well but not sure when exactly. When I saw this watch come out I knew I had to have it but seeing as my tiny 6.25” wrist can’t pull this one off on the bracelet I am waiting for the 36 version. Thanks for the video dear
Britt, you led to me to CW, and eventually purchased a C63 Sealander GMT based off your video. This time, I am not buying a twelve because of your video. I bought this astral blue version the day it came out, lol. I would love to see a burgundy dial!!!
Long time client of theirs, but grew out of the Sellitas in their watches. Good mvts for sure, but nothing differentiating, which can be an issue past a certain tier. To me their way up (if they want to break the 2k price tag on their higher end pieces) goes through modernising their s21 mvt so it fits a smaller offering. It has killer specs (Including power reserve), however will not fit most of their current offering.
Great new style of video! Glad you caught the Adrian Buchmann connection. (Whew!) Would love to see more information about the designers behind the watches. Their interviews are the most effective marketing practices for me.
Leaning toward the Arctic White, so I guess I am also boring. I want to add a white dial to my (very small) collection, and this is it. The shot of this watch on your husband’s 6.5” wrist is an angle not enough people show and it confirms to me that I would prefer this size to the 36. Thanks for the content.
Go Gringa, it's your birthday! We gon' party like it's your birthday! I hear these lyrics every time you post a new vid. Why? I don't know. But it feels right.
Thanks for your videos! Really nice hearing something from your perspective! Keep up the good work, you convinced me into wanting one for myself! Hehehe😂
This watch doesn´t do it for me but that doesn´t take away the effort from CW for trying. They are on a roll right now. And yeah, that ++ logo there is dangerously close to Tissot territory. Great video anyhow.
You know! You’re sooo right! CW IS on a roll right now! It really feels like they are going from strength to strength. But you know, you are right about that logo! Very close. But it must just be different enough ! 😅
I really want to own a CW watch, especially the Bel Canto. But I'm quite worried about having to send the watch back to UK for servicing. Everything coming in and out of Aus takes so long and the custom is soooooo strict!
I bought mine at the NYC watch show in October. Loved the dial at first sight, but the bracelet is even better. It's on a 4-watch rotation, so stays in the wider for 3 weeks at a time. Gained 90 seconds over the past 3 weeks, so decent but not spectacular accuracy.
Fantastic watch for the money! Have you checked out the revised Baume & Mercier Riviera with the Baumatic movement? Great finishing. Strong movement with excellent power reserve. Fourth oldest active Swiss watchmaker? B&M puts out some cool watches for the dollar with excellent finishing. The only negative for the buyer of a new B&M is that they have very poor resale. So buy it new and keep it or buy one that is a couple of years old and save a ton off of list.
Great video! Though this watch isn’t for me (GG is a one trick pony and the emperor has no clothes!), the details provided sheds a lot of light on the How and Why.
The steel Arctic White dialed version is my favorite too. I just wish the steel versions had the option of the higher-grade, longer power-reserve (38 hours is a bit ridiculous nowadays) and thinner COSC certified movement. Then I think I’d actually get one. Because this has a fab design, and is the only ‘affordable’ IBSW type of timepiece that I do like. As I’m not particularly a fan of this genre of watch anyway. Even at the premium end of the market I only really like the Czapek (which I see this as an homage of) and the 2000-2011 RO Jumbo (ref. 15202ST.OO.0944ST.01 if you want to be nerdy about it 😁) with a silvery dial too!
Where can I try one of these on in the UK? I currently have a blue dial PRX powermatic 80 I’ve been daily wearing and am intrigued how similar/different they both wear and quality of finishing on the twelve. Fab vid Britt as always!
A lovely modest review, very enjoyable, and informative. I have a 6” wrist, it looks great on your wrist, with a wider bracelet than the 36mm, definitely something I’d like to display at the end of a smart cuff?
Britt, you did a nice job. I've been considering The Twelve Astral Blue but my main obstacle is the bracelet and you told me important things. It seems my wrists change size corresponding with the phases of the moon. I'd hate to spend two grand on a watch frequently needing adjustment. i don't like it as much with a strap..
I have just stumbled across your channel and it's official I have a watch crush on you! lol I love the fact you clearly have a passion for watches, and yet you can laugh and not take it too seriously!!! and I suspect you question why and how the hell I did I let this passion creep into my existence (you are not alone). To it off I have also read the book mentioned (great read) and being from the land down under you finished the post wearing a cricket vest! Howzat!
Bought one of these in steel and 40mm, received it Monday, in 5 days it's almost a minute fast, crap for a watch that cost me over $1900 cad all in. It's going back. Maybe I'll think about another try when they have solid dial colors in titanium with the better SW-300 movement, or offer the SW-300 in the SS version, also would like the micro adjust found on the Twelve X. Otherwise it's a no for me unfortunately , because the design is actually quite nice.
I like almost everything about this watch. The things I would change is the crown guards - Genta wasn't a fan unless it had some metal on the other side (Nautilus). Look at the Royal Oak, VC Overseas and PRX - no crown guard. Much better. Also the dial is too busy. I like a pattern but find this pattern is too much. Maybe it person it won't be so in-your-face.
Great to see your humour shining through again! I do like a good chuckle! Where you speak of Mike France and the mark up models, I do feel that CW have veered away from their original model and ethic.. They once proudly spoke of their lack of links with sponsorship to keep the retail price realistic. That was a great selling point but is no longer the case. The watches have steadily increased in price over recent times too. Seems like there have been price increases twice in a short period. Still, I do love a lot of the CW line up. Some lovely pieces. My ASD/ocd is the only thing stopping me buying my first, it’s very frustrating! 😅 Hope your jaw is feeling better too! You’ve sure been through the mill recently! So what does Papi think of the Twelve? Did he like the look and feel of it?
Gives me a panic attack every time I look at the dial . Makes me feel like I've tunnel vision off the high dive and will come to minus my swim trunks with a crowd of people laughing at me . I want to like it .
Gringa Sunday 🔥🤩 Great video Britt 👌🏻 I think the 12 its a pretty cool watch, and as you said it in the video, it is a lot of watch for the money 👌🏻 We need more affordable watches in Gringa Land 😁 Have a great Sunday B.
FERNAAAANDO! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to this! 💕💕 I am loving the Twelve! I just wish it was a bit smaller! 😅 but YES! I hear you! More affordable watches here in gringa land! 💕✨✨✨
I'd get a PRX quartz over the 12 and save a LOT of $. I've tried on the PRX and it punches way above its price, plus I think the PRX is better looking. I am not a fan of the 12's dial or markers. Cheers!
Great video Britt! If I only have enough to spend on 1 CW right now, would you recommend the Twelve or the C63 Sealander GMT (knowing they are very different watches), which one would you pick?
I nearly ordered one, but really wish the steel version had the fumé dial colour gradient, as the white and pale blue dials are actually hard to read with the silver indices. Adding a slightly darker outer edge to the white and blue would dramatically increase their legibility.
If you want the fumé and you are in the U.K. I’ll happily swap the blue dial of the steel with the fumé dial of the Ti. I prefer the Ti watch and movement but want the flat darker blue dial of the steel.
Its not The Twelve, thats a nickname. The model is a C12 and there were two other integrated models before this, the C2 and C20 But i agree with the fact its gorgeous as i have the Basalt grey C12 version.
I did hold the prx and The cheap feel is what kept me from buying it. I’d love to be able to get my hands on the Twelve to compare. The blue dial of the Ti version is sweet, for a great price
Zodiac $1k sea wolf bracelet with butterfly has about 5mm of springiness in it. Works great and is my most comfy butterfly. Need not get RO to get it right
£1600 for a titanium watch from a microbrand who seem to change their logo with the wind during their short time trading and who are known for their often abysmal customer service, and poor QA processes. Yes, that IS freaking amazing....freaking shocking to tell you the truth!! I wouldn't touch it (or them) with a barge pole.
New follower, I love your channel. I will be getting my Twelve Titanium this month. Thank you for the great images and review. Such an amazing timepiece.
So I would want the chronometer version but then i have to get it in titanium...okay great but, CW uses grade II titanium without hardness coating so its going to be a hot mess if its a daily. So I would get the stainless version ... okay great, then I have to give up having a relatively accurate watch. Just charge a bit more and have the SW300 in the stainless. This is so close to a homerun but then twisting its leg rounding 3rd.
I love CW, I own 4 of their watches, and there is a lot to like about the 12, but I can't get past the integrated bracelet. That I am sorry to say is a show stopper for me. Integrated bracelets and butterfly clasps. I picked up a Hamilton Jazzmaster Performer that comes with a really nice oyster style bracelet, but I immediately replaced it with something from Strapcode becuase of the butterfly clasp.
I love this watch love the dial every thing about it really very cool Clever watch the bracelet is so cool your videos always put a smile on my face Always a Blast
Britt! Great review. This watch has my attention. But it is the titanium one that steals the show. The shading of the dial makes it pop and draws me in. The steel versions really are meh though. The colors, without any shading and even with the 3D styling, do not speak to me. So I think this one falls into the "I will pick a pre-owned one up later, maybe" category. Long Live the Cult(s)!
@@BrittPearceWatches Call me crazy, and it may be the scotch tonight, but the purple has my attention. I mean how many purple dial watches are out there? Out of curiosity, I went searching on Chrono 24, for a 39-41mm watch, there are 22K blue dial watches and only 121 purple dials. Purple it is..
I wish they just gave us the SW300 in the non-TI version too...38 hour power reserve in 2023 is meh when you have more than two watches in your collection.
I’m waiting for the CR Belcanto in purple, alredy pay. Anyway this is stunning for the price and it’s mor an everyday watch than the Belcanto.. well done 💪
Side comment, I remember reading in A Blog to Watch(Read), for example if a mfg makes a watch costing $1,000 it retails for $5,000 adding in all the costs of distribution and retailers etc.
I watched a few Christopher Wards interviews with their team. I respect their honesty in showing us how we're getting fisted in the A** by these watch companies being greedy and doing several price increases because of hype. The actual designer of the Czapek is who designed Christopher Ward. The irony!🤣🤣🤣 CW is a soild brand and deserves more respect. We as watch lovers need to understand were paying for greed and Marketing. To the point when something introduced to us at a fair price. Sheep think its a cheap rip off when in actual fact the level of finishing is of a 5k watch. But sheep will still pay 13k for a new 2023 model IWC Ingenieur which was a 5k watch at best. The CW looks far superior and less boring! An ingenieur is not worth 10x the price of this beauty. That being said its not for me. But i appreciate beauty and Christopher wards honesty. Ps Britt you watched the interview you're thinking of on watch Geko channel with Mike France Co founder of CW👍🏾

FYI the newest 2024 version of this watch has 56h power reserve (v.s. 38h at the time of this review)
If anyone likes the design but feels it's too big, the company has confirmed that they will release a 36mm version later in the year.

What a nice watch! I will now consider a Christopher Ward.
They also 'hommaged' H.Moser's fumé dials!!
Love it.
Best review of this kick ass model yet.
Got to love CW for a micro brand they are tremendous value, I have had two in my small collection, and loved them as a daily wear, on Par with Tudor .
Great video! Though this watch isn’t for me (GG is a one trick pony and the emperor has no clothes!), the details provided sheds a lot of light on the How and Why.
Ahh bless! I agree on GG 🙈 but don’t tell LVMH
There is only one Gringa ❤️ ….. you are the right stuff , the OG 😘
Good taste you picked the best looking 12 imo also excellent book
Great review Britt. I think the quote is from Mike France, CEO of CW himself.
CW presents such good value. I have the c63 GMT with the green distressed dial on my wrist right now.
It isn't an homage, when both were designed by the same person.
Where can I try one of these on in the UK? I currently have a blue dial PRX powermatic 80 I’ve been daily wearing and am intrigued how similar/different they both wear and quality of finishing on the twelve. Fab vid Britt as always!
Hey Britt, you didn’t mention the Ingenieur from IWC? I can’t decide which!
I did mention the Ingenieur!’ 😱😱💕💕
When The Twelve first came out, I hated the dial, but it looks amazing in this video... 😬
i find butterfly clasps unpleasant on the wrist, how was it for you britt?
Hope your jaw is feeling better too!
Gringa Sunday 🔥🤩
Great video Britt 👌🏻
I think the 12 its a pretty cool watch, and as you said it in the video, it is a lot of watch for the money 👌🏻
We need more affordable watches in Gringa Land 😁
Have a great Sunday B.
FERNAAAANDO! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to this! 💕💕
I am loving the Twelve!
I would go for the Sealander (if I didn’t have other GMTs) as a watch in a collection, the 12 adds a bit of fun.
Will be getting steel with white dial one
I nearly ordered one, but really wish the steel version had the fumé dial colour gradient, as the white and pale blue dials are actually hard to read with the silver indices. Adding a slightly darker outer edge to the white and blue would dramatically increase their legibility.
If you want the fumé and you are in the U.K. I’ll happily swap the blue dial of the steel with the fumé dial of the Ti. I prefer the Ti watch and movement but want the flat darker blue dial of the steel.
Its not The Twelve, thats a nickname. The model is a C12 and there were two other integrated models before this, the C2 and C20
But i agree with the fact its gorgeous as i have the Basalt grey C12 version.
I did hold the prx and The cheap feel is what kept me from buying it. I’d love to be able to get my hands on the Twelve to compare.
The blue dial of the Ti version is sweet, for a great price
lol what
Zodiac $1k sea wolf bracelet with butterfly has about 5mm of springiness in it. Works great and is my most comfy butterfly. Need not get RO to get it right
I guess I'm boring too: When is CW going to release a black dial on steel variant?
I'm a big fan of Christopher ward this will be my next watch from them good warranty and after sales as well 😎
You’re sooo right!!! Insane warranty! I should have included that!
Maybe you heard it in the interview Andrew did at a Watchfinder event when they were on tour and posted on youtube
Ahh you're the second person to say! That must have been it.
“Freaking amazing price point!” Well said. I love this watch. Twelve words.
Now this is a meta comment! Now THIS is attention to detail.
@@BrittPearceWatches Ha. Touché. Twelve.
Great video, coded or not! You will probably prefer the 36mm model when it comes out
So I would want the chronometer version but then i have to get it in titanium...okay great but, CW uses grade II titanium without hardness coating so its going to be a hot mess if its a daily. So I would get the stainless version ... okay great, then I have to give up having a relatively accurate watch. Just charge a bit more and have the SW300 in the stainless. This is so close to a homerun but then twisting its leg rounding 3rd.
🤣🤣 I love this analogy! And you know, I kinda agree! I prefer the stainless steel! But I want that sweet sweet SW300!
The other dodecagon bezeled watch is the Baume & Mercier Riviera, which of course is much, much older. Just thought it could have been mentioned :).
13. I don't have enough money for this watch haha
🤣💕💕
Editing Britney has a great sweater
She DOES! She just got that for her birthday!
CW always punches above its weight !! and great video as always
Right?!?! I couldn’t agree more! CW is going from strength to strength 👏🏻
Ahh Don H! I also feel like the size will be PERFECT ON YOU! Whenv you eventually pick a pre-owned one up! ;)
The more I see this watch the more I like it !
Excellent review regarding CW12. Great job Britt👍I’m leaning to buying Titanium, better movement and hour reserve.
Ahhh the titanium is fab! I kinda wish I had the steel one to compare against! 😱
Several reviewers say their titanium version is getting badly scratched fast. Apparently it’s grade 2 only. How is anybody’s holding up?
AHHH YES!!! Watch gecko!!! That’s very freaking possible!!! 💕💕💕 and SLEWERRRR! I couldn’t agree more with everything said here!
