I can't really figure out exactly why I instantly subbed to you guys. I feel like the content you guys make kind of fits the theme of content that I would like to make. Also it's really inspiring to see people take risks and just do what makes them happy at all costs. This is something that I'm struggling with very bad right now. I work full time at a job that I absolutely hate, and I put my self in a financial position that forces me to keep this crap job. I dream of working for myself. These videos inspire me to follow that dream, and I thank you guys for that! One of the hardest things in life is to venture into the unknown, and take risks (Like moving to a city people tell you not to) but I feel it is key to finding your version of happiness. Videos like these are very important because in my opinion it gives people another perspective to hold onto instead of clinging onto the negative! It seems it is very easy to forget that you are, in fact, responsible for your happiness! Thanks again guys!

I love this!!!! I was going through a similar thing where I was making videos on the basis of people wanted to see me play video games but I had to take a reality check the past few months. Your quote of "No one gives a shit about your vlogs" perfectly encapsulates what I was feeling! I'm in charge of my own happiness and as soon as I changed the style of content this year I've never been happier!!

I actually don't really enjoy niche channels, sure I'll pop in once in a while to check up on any new and fun video's, but they don't have the same connection like vlogs do.

i really got inspired by the both of you. Becki helped me really pursue photography more along with other youtubers and Chris is also an inspiration to me. Being a radiologist, heli pilot, and photographer really pushed me to pursue Engineering and Photography at the same time. also ngl i love chris’s hair. i need that hair tutorial soon.

Such a great point a Chris made, “ You are responsible for your own happiness.” I say this all the time! You have to choose to be happy every day. There is so much negativity every day on social media and IRL. Happiness is a choice, and you have to make it every day! Great vid again!

Becki, you did a fantastic job on that panel and both of you are killing it on TH-cam. It’s very inspiring. Having lived the first 23 years of my life in Buffalo (mostly Cheektowaga) during the ‘60s, ‘70s, and part of the ‘80s… I can understand the negativity about the area. The city had some rough times, but it does feel like so much is improving. I can’t stand winter weather anymore, but I’m rooting for Buffalo from San Francisco. Cheers!

This is such a good message, one in which I'm struggling with right now. After an emergency left me with only two cameras, one lens each, and my negatives only, all of my darkroom equipment, all of my digital images were lost. Now I'm dealing with this covid-19 ordeal and rebuilding my business from the ground up, so finding happiness is something I'm forcing myself to do each day. I often write, read, and continue learning, so that when I have rebuilt my business, I'll be more informed.

How many people work on the “idea” of a blog or vlog but never can figure out their niche and nothing happens.
I can’t identify a niche that I want to stick with.
I’m a single mom of a 26 year old beautiful man with profound autism and we live in a shack that I am learning to fix one pipe at a time. I bought a camera after being bit by an assassin bug because the wildlife here is insane but also beautifully alien. It scares me shitless... I see a giant spider... I scream and run across the yard before I realize I’m running across a yard - that regularly is shared with poisonous snakes
Stopping involves a pointy toed, blue man group ballet fusion.
Life is a collection of facets and they illuminate randomly. I believe I will just start on whatever random adventure the day brings and not follow the niche rule. So, thanks!!

Your right. Even during this time of bugs and crazy people, ‘you make your own happiness’. I am getting ready to an adventure across the northwest of Australia, people are telling me that I’m crazy as COVID-19 is moving through the world. The fact is, there always something moving through the world that might cause us harm. If we prepare ourselves with the correct info and knowledge we can still have a fun life full of happiness and meaning.

Great stuff as usual - and I really like points #2 & 3! I commented on a previous video about this; yes you could have grown faster in a niche, but I think being yourself builds a better community. And as Chis says, you can now be yourselves and post whatever, and your community will still be there! I myself have a small focus on auto, but am doing my best to mix things in. And as for point #3: this, so much this. Yes my content is not as good as yours, but you have to start somewhere. I've recommended to many people to go to their favorite creator's channel and watch a video from the very beginning, they'll feel much better about their own content.

I work with sailors for 6 months out of the year and Becki swears more than them. NOT a detractor though haha, it's kinda why I, and many others, dig your content. Fun, funny, goofy, rated R sometimes, and real. So thank you both for being real and a constant inspiration to creators. This video had such great insight for so many people that might struggle with different aspects of pursuing their happiness and creative endeavors while trying to find their place and fight things like imposter syndrome or self-doubt. Great stuff, thanks you two.
Great video! I hear you on the niche vs. vlog genre type videos. I can cave and find a niche, but I just want to go out and enjoy making videos and sharing with every one. Eventually I'll find a captive audience. If not I'm having tons of fun, meeting new people and seeing new places along the way.

I've been watching you guys since pretty much the start of Vancouver(2-3 wks in), I particularly enjoyed that series because I lived in BC for a while but am now on the other side of the world, got to get back soon. Regardless, I've watched every video you've put up since then and enjoyed every minute of it. Your production quality is phenomenal, and I like the variation of topics a lot, it keeps things fresh and I learn a ton about stuff I don't normally learn about. I really hope you're making some $$$ now too, that was a LONG slog without any ad revenue!
