Thanks for these. I've always been more interested in drones for their work usage vs media/entertainment usage. Working in federal disaster management these are an obvious asset yet still not quite there yet in real work capturing for our usage. Great way to touch base on what is going on, would love more of these.

Drone deploy is a good app but the 3d maps provided by DJI Terra and Pix4d are way more detailed. I have seen some comparisons and the difference is significant.

Hi Billy, interesting video, thank you. As a hobbyist, I use Autel Explorer Mission with my EVO ll drones and the free version of Map Pilot Pro with my Air 2s to do missions collecting photos for mapping. I then use the open source WebODM to do the 2D&3D mapping. I do mapping of my and neighbors property. Mapping was my next step in drone use after doing drone photos and videos. Watching the automated drone flight during a mission is a hoot.

Thanks for putting this video together I was interested in the indoor /outdoor 3d view using Inster360 1" camera. It looks to me like Matterport meets Drone Deploy, in the Metaverse. I am very interested in this concept.

Noticed drone deploy only has one option for Mavic 3 e and that’s maps and models. No pano or videos etc.

Not using drone deploy anymore .I combine drone harmony and reality capture more advanced waypoints mission planning

@@Rikarious more cheaper ...more advanced..you can build virtual 3d structure and then design waypoint through virtual 3d with the correct method overlay it also has obstacle avoidance algorithm... See at my channel some 3d virtual structure

Too bad the Mavic 3 doesn’t actually work with any mapping software. Should definitely clarify that point! It’s only the enterprise version that works.

M3 isnt made for mapping. No mechanical shutter and doesnt support a RTK module.

@@ChristiaanRoest79 Let me clarify, for the new comers: The M3 WILL map, many of us have done it manually. There’s no SDK for automated flight.
Of course many people, including myself have mapped without a RTK module. Also, without a mechanical shutter!
