I sitting at my desk while watching this, i was on my phone for a minute while the video played. I heard "Construction complete" and instinctively my hand moved to my mouse and tried to click the structure. I smiled
It happens to me in many videos. Sometimes I go full screen on the PC and I'm so focused on the gameplay that I move the mouse as if I were moving the camera
I'd say that along with the original 1998 StarCraft, this game especially deserves to be an immortal video game that just keeps getting better thanks to its community
The ai in this mod is awesome, the effects are too notch and everything is much more fast paced. The new units are great too. Havok tanks and zone troopers for the win. The mobile war factory made it so easy to make forward bases anywhere on the map fast too. Just build mcv and bam new base. I've been stuck on this mod. Brought me back to childhood.
@@rohenthar8449 I got stuck on that GDI mission where the Kodiak was downed in an ion storm. Within the first 10 minutes I'm usually dead on normal diff and up. They always send artillery and LOTS of other units. I feel like certain missions require you to micromanage on slow speed to stand a chance. The mission with the downed alien aircraft early on, where you have to defend it, also had me save scumming and trying new things.

This mod is excellent for Skirmishes or PvP, but in Campaign... well, you are already aware, that balance was broken, especially when it comes to NOD units which was strengthened by a lot, and not only that, but also overpowered units like Vertigos were introduced, yet Campaign scenarios were NOT adapted to accommodate this changes.... So, Campaign, especially GDI one is a road trough hell and back in some scenarios.
I much prefer this over RA2 which Mircea is using for the upcoming mod, I'm not a fan of him switching to the RA2 engine for the upcoming Ion Shock mod. However,.... goddamn those explosions and flying vehicle debris effects that Mircea has for said RA2 mod for Ion Shock is jaw dropping.
yes but I think everything about this Warzone mod looks more polished and designed well. and by that I mean each unit is almost as if they have been part of the original game. Warzone is amazing as a mod. but Mircea's new Ion Shock mod has too much stuff and units explode in such a funny way. but the good thing about RA2 game is the fact a hospital or machine shop structure automatically heal/repair your damaged units. this is why I always loved the RA2 Yuri's Revenge game. heal/repair units with tech support structures. this is why I have defended these tech structures during my RA2 gameplays. but with Mircea's new Ion Shock mod, he kinda changed the design of some of these tech structures. for example the oil derrick structure in his new mod looks so ugly. maybe he should have kept the original RA2 design. the layout/design of loading screen of the mod also looks ugly for me. some of his added units also look too complicated or let's say not great. Cabal faction for example has some ridiculous looking siege/artillery unit.
Sometimes I think if you take and combine the best parts of the biggest mods like Warzone, Tiberium Crisis, etc. into one super mod - You will get the best C&C game ever.
Thanks for such an underestimated game! I met Red Alert 2 in my childhood, good people told me that Tiberian Sun is a good game, but I had no PC to install it! And now, finally, I can see that still, after all years passed, this game is still impressing. Maybe I should set it up someday, and play at last )
If you do, make sure you also check out the Ukrainian localization for it. We've fully translated and dubbed Tiberian Sun in Ukrainian a couple of months ago :)
Why were you avoiding attacking the Construction Yard until the very end? Seems like you could have made much much faster progress taking out the power plants if you bombed the hell out of MCV first.
How the hell do you get this to run in fullscreen properly? Whatever resolution I set it to and whatever mix of render settings it's always super small OR small and blurry. I have a 4K screen and cannot get it to just be fullscreen windowed/borderless/anything without either being TINY and impossible to play or so blurry you can't even read what the unit texts are.

Of course there are. Did you not notice the change in Ion Cannon? In the original 22 years old release, Ion Cannon used to be a Single Ion Beam. In this, it shoots multiple at random locations after the first one. This proves that these mods are made by fans.

Sometimes he'll get access to a beta version not yet released to the public. Trying to find out if the exact build shown in this vid is up for download or not.

It is a really good mod, one of the best ways to revisit the series. I would say this and twisted insurrection are my favorite mods for C&CTS.
Agree, but Warzone mod need a bit of rebalance, becouse some missions are impossible to finish and some units are useless (orca fighter).

It is a real epic mod. It is like a back ported form Tiberium essence 2 to Tiberian Sun.
