So i have to replace my mothers oil pan on her HYUNDAI TUCSON 2.7L V6... 2007... would i or should i sand down the oil pan before putting the gasket silicone on???
Shit im in upstate ny and my 06 oil pan is getting changed today. I coulda did it but no time. Work. But just to mention the frame. Wow that bitch rusty! I like to shoot mine down with that evaporust. Hit it with a wire brush, spray multiple times, wash off, hit it with a good primer after degreaser, wash good. Paint that shit. I do it with that Rust-Oleum. Works alright for a few years, do it over... Screw undercoat
I dont think it comes with a gasket im not sure though... But what happens if u use to much silicone gasket sealer and it gets inside the reservoir when u go to screw it in???

RTV IS FOR THE UPPER OIL PAN NOT THE LOWER PAN .... NO NEED TO USE IT ON THE LOWER PAN .... When you have a gasket.
