About four years ago I got the Vanquest Trident 31 with a bunch of accessories and it's my favorite backpack of all time. It's like my best friend, we've been so many places together.
Love the Vanquest 21. Bought it in 2019 for travel but unfortunately couldn’t travel after the pandemic hit. But have been using it for work. Love it! Wish they stock up more accessories here in my country.
You are my fav bag company and have been for several years now. I have the large Dendrite in camo, the smaller Trident, the original larger Envoy and three organizers. I also had the large grey Trident with over $1200 worth of gear in it as well as my concealed carry stolen out of my garage. That trident went with me on all my expeditions and I miss it terribly. One day I’ll treat myself to another when the finances are right. Best bag company in the world. Appreciate all the thought and quality that goes into what you do. -Rich
Love the TRIDENT-32 Gen 3 I just bought at Overland Expo. Thanks for the recommendation. Great bag. The hi-vis orange interior is great. Lots of pockets and the layout is well thought out.
these backpacks are great. I've got the 32 gen 3 and I love it. My only suggestion for the next gen is to move the admin pocket on the other side, because accessing it with a bottle in the bottle pocket makes it difficult to reach, also, when you turn the backpack in order to access your gear "sling bag style", you want to be able to access the admin pocket from the same side. Another suggestion would be to add a rigid pocket for fragile items, like sunglasses etc.
Nice Video..Can be fit any iPad size and Sony or Bose headphones with cases please? How much please?Where Can I buy online or actual/physical stores please?
Bags looks good but the opening is on the left side to the main compartment. Am sure there are many right handers and swing their bags on their right to access the inside. Something to consider on your next upgrade !
This is correct, most people are right handed so when you swing the bag towards the front, this leaves your right hand/arm free to open and access the pack with support from the left arm.
I’m right handed. So I prefer to have my bag on my right shoulder when using only 1 strap. The current set up is a con for me. I also wish the opening was on the other side.
@@tengc I happen to be a lefty, but all cameras are built to be held primarily in the right hand, so that's how I want to grab them. This arrangement is the best for that: you can pull out the camera (or whatever else you are grabbing), possibly with your left hand to support the extraction process, and that right arm and shoulder are free to get busy, while the left hand can zip up and shove the pack back around if that's what you want to do. I've had an earlier model, the TRIDENT-20, for a number of years, and just love it. It's great for photography, travel, hiking, and daily commuting.
Hey there! Many of us have used the Trident-21 as a personal item. However this is largely up to the airline and is not a standard across different airlines. I have also used the Trident-32 as a personal item although that is not recommended and a very tight fit. Thanks for asking! -Taylor
I hate that I like the Trident line…. It’s getting expensive. Lol. Wonder if they’d let me trade in my old 21l v2 for the newer one… 😂 The 31 v2 is my favorite though, great for traveling and I like the styling more.
Too bad, there's only one dealer here in Toronto and the store owner has a lot of bad reviews in google. I want this bag but if order in US website, it will cost me double because of shipping and customs tax.
Gen 4 needs to bring the same admin organization arrangement of the 32 to the 21. Without the elastic and pocket config, the 21 loses the organizing appeal of the 32 for me. Also for gen 4, please make all surfaces of the main compartment from the loop material, not just the front and back.
@@vanquestgear There's one (in Kipling) but I don't think Im gonna buy from that dealer. Too many bad reviews regarding customer service and warranty policy.

Amazing bags, amazing company, amazing R&D, amazing video!
Totally appreciate James’ great attention to detail. Could listen to him all day.
Now all we need is a Trident 55! 🙂

Are the waist straps removable?

Is this available in Vancouver Canada?
Excellent side by side comparison, thanks!

Thank you Ricci! 👍
Can I fit a.15inch laptop in the trident 21?
Will the 21 fit under most US domestic airline seats?

Yeah, just used mine on a flight on Spirit and Frontier which are absolute sticklers and try to charge for everything, just don't over pack it.

Unfortunately we don’t have a way to ship internationally without customs duty and vat taxes.
love vanquest
