Just a big shoutout to Vanquest. I’ve had this bag since they came out. The hidden pocket works so well that ANY time I have been searched, not a single person has asked to look inside that pocket. Now, obviously a metal detector/wand/scanner will give it away. But for 99% of run-ins, not a damn soul knows that pocket is there. And I love that! My snickers and hot wheels are finally safe.
I've owned this bag for a year now I use it everyday it goes everywhere. Pair it up with the vanquest hydra water bottle holder and it's perfect. The conceal carry pocket is perfect for my sub compact and the bladder/laptop sleeve fits a 8"x13" soft armor like a glove. Perfect edc pack
very cool small lil buddy this katara...well thought out features and a nice look as all of your packs.....i love mine...my edc at the moment veries from big dendrite to the trident21. my laptop and other stuff is in my addax 25...really cool......greetings to mike and alex...and the rest of the team...greetings..sicky
I have one and I love it but man would a 20 version be even more AWESOME!! You have a ton of comments I’ve seen from people saying the same thing, make it happen Vanquest!
I owned the previous version, I decided that I do not like sling bag, I gave it away. This looks much better. It's design much better. One comment, the see though zip pocket in front lover pocket should be deeper and you should provide elastic bands as well like in upper admin pocket. Katara design is far superior to trident. I really would like to see 21-22 liter version of it with full of internal see though on mesh zip pockets.
If you use elastic on the sides of the laptop sleeve you could probably fit a 15 inch laptop without making the bag bigger. Also if the bikini shape of the laptop sleeve was just filled in with more of the hook and loop you could stick more gear on it. Other than that looks like a killer bag.

+1 on the hydra bottle carrier. And the carry pocket. Fits a 19X with a X300 ultra.
This has been my EDC pack for about a year now, looks brand new still. Fantastic pack, perfect size.

If the main compartment would be empty could you fit a 3 liter water bladder in the bladder pocket?
