This was BY FAR the best movie in the Predator series. EVERYTHING ABOUT it was just amazing. The plot, cinematography, music, and I LOVE that they did this in this time period. Love that they made the main character a female and lastly I loved that they tied the gun into this movie. Loved that she learned everything about the Predator by observing and learned how to defeat it. This movie was flawless IMO.

When she cut off the Frenchman's leg and the predator comes in, when he cuts off the Frenchman's head, no reactor I have seen has mentioned that the blade also cuts off a piece of her hair, they are that close together.
The dogs name is Coco, she was a rescue dog taken from the shelter to being in front of the camera. She's an American Dingo they are believed to have come across the land bridge with the first humans in the western hemisphere. She now lives with her forever family. A family that trains animals for movies.

Great reaction video! You two are so funny together. 😂 I'm Native American (Navajo), and I've been an AVP fan for decades, so this movie was really great to see and means a lot to me. Thanks for making this reaction video!
Nice reaction, thanks guys. The French traders were interested in the skins - that was their trade - and yes, they killed a lot of buffalo. But it was nothing compared to the attempted extinction of buffalo by the cattle farmers and US govt who killed them by the millions and left them to rot, so they didn't compete with cattle. Which also, conveniently (ha), destroyed the culture of the indigenous tribes who depended on the buffalo.
Most of the actors were Native American if not from the Comanche tribe. A production consultant was there from the Comanche tribe the whole time. The production team even made sure there were apprentices or starting workers from Native tribes in the crew so they could start getting into the business. This is the first major picture with Native Americans as the heros played by Natuve Americans. Anber Midthunder. OMG. What can be said? Jim Beavers playing Naru's brother...damn. He's a singer. This is his first acting role. If there is any fairness keft in the world, we'll be seeing much more feom them in the future. You might have noticed there is a full dubbed copy of the film in Comanche and subtitled in English. The actors recorded the dub thenaelves. The French is still not subtitled, on purpose. When asked why they didnt film in Comanche and dub in English, Beavers said none of them were that fluent, which makes sense.
I met the lead actress Amber Midthunder, Director Dan Trachtenberg and Producer Jhane Myers when they were in London promoting the film. Amber was quiet but both Dan and Jhane were up for a laugh. got a nice photo with all of them. My son went to the premier and the after party, I missed out on that. One of those films that you can watch again and again.
45:04 Predators are gamesmen, everything is for sport with them, the challenge and thrill of the kill. They aren't trying to kill the same thing over and over again. We saw in this movie that the Predator studied the species it came in contact with and worked its way up the food change, looking for the bigger challenge. The trappers had numbers and no real skills. They defeated everything they came in contact with their numbers. Tabe didn't kill the mountain lion with his boys. He did it by himself. Yes, it was injured by Naru's initial attack, but Tabe still got the kill and he brought it home. And that's not all he did. He carried Naru back to camp and then went back to get the mountain lion. The man was a boss! Tabe was a good brother. Unlike his boys who were almost always jerks around Naru, he treated her with respect and did his best to give her words of encouragement or advice. Before Tabe died he was honest with Naru and told her that her plan to kill the mountain lion worked when he told her that he used her plan to get it. That information must have felt so good to hear. She looked up to Tabe, so to hear that he used her plan and that it worked must have been a confidence booster. Did you watch Predator 2? The gun Naru gave the chief is the same gun the Predator in the second movie gave Danny Glover--the Predator had been to Earth before! This movie seem to show the first time they came to Earth and they likely keep coming back because Naru proved that humans are a worthy opponent. This was a refreshing new beginning to an old franchise. They used a lot less money with a not so well-known cast. You don't need A list actors to make a movie work. A good story and people that care about the project and get the job done and this movie proved that. I bet Fox wishes they released this in the theater instead of directly to streaming. This movie has got nothing but high praise for what it did. The credits sort of recreate the events of the movie, but did you notice the ending? Three ships came back to Earth! Are we going to see a sequel of some sort? Maybe not a direct sequel but Predators going to different continents to see what other tribes of people are like? I'd prefer seeing lower budget versions of the Predator if they can be as good as this. This movie was what, 90min? It did more with the time it had than most of the other movies in the franchise which had much more time and money to work with.
Thanks for sharing!! This story was so good. Might of been the fight between humans and alien but it was also the battle of the sexes. Love how Tabe always pushed Naru to do and be better. Naru broke barriers by following her heart and purpose. Nice pick up on the gun btw! Going back to look at it again! Appreciate the writers choosing less known actors. Just proves that big budgets and names don't make a movie great...it's the raw talent and storyline that matters! Appreciate you rocking with us 🙏🏾
Also in the credits, there's a card that dedicates the film to the Comanche nation. There were people from the tribe in the cinema at the debut. People could hear them ulating theaters away when that card came up.
I love that the brother gave her time to get away this is Definitely one of my favorite movies especially being part native this was such a great movie I even love that they have it in there native tongue been trying to learn different languages sign language was 1st almost got it down but Native American and Mexican I’m trying to learn which is super difficult considering I was never thought growing up
The brother knew what she was capable of!! Love it!! Good for you Amanda...learning a new language is quite difficult!! We both speak English obviously but also French and Shruti knows a little bit of Gujarati (one of the 21 Indian dialect). Appreciate you sharing and for tuning in!!
Honestly the fight scene where her brother 1v1's Predator is probably my #1 1v1 in the series and honestly across a few of them lol. He was so fkn smooth with shooting the bow the grabbing the arrow back n shooting again. Dude was a legit great warrior. Idk who could 1v1 him in this verse outside Predator with his invis stuff.
My expectations were really low with this movie, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very enjoyable action movie and great addition to the Predator universe. It could be fun to have a TV show with Predators facing humans in different time periods /places: cavemen, Spartans, Persians, Samurais, Templars, Chinese, Musketeers, Napoleonic troops, WWII, in the Vietnam War...
There was a scoutmaster that went to pick up a rattlers head that had been cut of three days before and it bit him on his hand , his troop had to do field first aid make a litter to carry him out of the woods his hand was so swollen by the time he got to the hospital his skin had split open they showed pictures a few days after his hand looked like a puffy balloon and his skin was beginning to turn black the Doctors say those scouts saved not only his hand from amputation but his life too.
The predators probably came back and wiped out Naru and her whole village later on, seeing as that pistol is the same one that the predator gave to Danny Glover's character in Predator 2 and they had to retrieve the weapon at some point
That doesn't make any sense. Nobody claims that the Predators went after Dutch or Harrigan for slaying one of their own, so why would they come after Naru? Plus massacring entire villages (including children and the elderly) is against the Predator honour code. More likely they came to collect Feral's body and weaponry and while they were there they gave Naru a token (like how the Elder did with Harrigan). Naru probably GAVE them the pistol as it was customary to exchange ''gifts' in Comanche tradition.
