I rather enjoyed the SNES version especially Ninja Gaiden 2. I enjoyed it better on SNES. The only issue I have is some special effects are missing and the music is way off key.
I really appreciate this vid, I prefer the music to the nes version and the graphics and colors of the remake. I get why they chose to remix the music but, they shouldn't have the music in Ninja Gaiden is one of the major and more lasting effects of the game. Long after you've finished playing you will find yourself humming the mine shaft melody or the intro. It's up to the fans to mix these 2 games and make the perfect reissue.
Eu tinha comentado em um outro vídeo que faltava a comparação deste ninja Gaiden nesta duas plataformas. Mas me enganei. kkkk. Ai esta o vídeo comparativo. muito bom!
I prefer the NES version mostly for the challenge but if I'm feeling like playing without as much stress the SNES has one thing that helps with that. Once you clear a level you get a code that you write down which makes it so if you use up all your continues you can at least use the code and start from beginning the level you left off at instead of starting the entire game all over again..
@@Rustycube88 Nah the guy is right. The SNES version is rushed and lazy, because all they did was make it look slightly better but that's it. They didn't fix the bugs that happened in the original NES versions neither did they fix the button inputs to Y and B. There are also some stages in the SNES that are just broken unlike the NES one. The music is just bad man.
it's easy to spot youngsters saying the SNES version is actually better than the original NES version.... no offense though. the music from the first is just PERFECT!, the SNES version it's a real shame! thank God I never knew this remake existed until the year 2005....
The music and sound FX are much better in the NES version, sorry. Wow, the SNES is more colorful! Who cares? Also, there ARE changes made to the trilogy on the SNES. I know that this video is for the first game, but in the sequel they really nerfed some of the challenge on the SNES version.
Always thought the 1st game was alot tougher on the SNES version. Horrible hit boxes, then that last boss, darn. Didn't have too many problems on the nes.
Ironically, the NES version is actually BETTER than the snes. It's not seen here, but one example is a later stage in the game: It's a stage where the it can randomly turn pitch black (only certain things like enemies and powerups are visible, but the platform is not) and only random thunder flashes can illuminate your path. The Nes version had this, but the snes version lacked this feature in the level. On the snes vesion, the stage is always illuminated so you can pretty much see your entire way through the "dark" stage.
@@SignOfTheTimes008I disagree. The level only being visible whenever the lightning strikes is the main feature of the level, and the whole level is designed around that feature. I haven't played the SNES version myself, but I'm certain that removing this feature would break that level badly. But while I'm at it, for the record, this level is from Ninja Gaiden 2.
It looks exactly the same to me, I remember seeing sombody play the snes version and thinking it looked like an Nes game. I won't say I'm disappointed because I do love retro games weather they have good graphics or not is unimportant
The NES version obviously looks alot brighter, and the SNES version looks much more darker/contrasty with some minor additional details and a bit more shading added in... However tho, it's nothing that the PC Engine or SMS can't really accomplish!
I always thinking, and it'd amazed me. The Snes hardware is a good piece of technology and a very powerful machine. Then, why the hell it doesn't got a good audio chip tune. The Nes got a better, musics and sounds effects, instead of Snes.
Nah, back in the day this was fine. You knew you were buying a remastered collection, and you got all three games on one cartridge. Super Mario All-Stars was a better collection, but this was good.

The NES all the way, the Snes ports were terrible and added very little. It's not the fault of the system but Tecmo did a pretty shitty job honestly. They even took out the jump slash attack that was pretty helpful.
I will keep it short cause if I get started. Itll never end. NES takes ALL OF IT. SNES Isnt bad visually but the sound is insulting. Such a great game sound track for all games to be utterly DESTROYED by the SNES. Because of this, they can keep it updated graphics and all. this is a terrible remake. I don't know if you were born or around during its initial launch, but it got panned by many critics and gamers alike. This is the definition of lazy. Ni en el SNES se le ve forma al jefe de nivel, en pc-engine si podía verse ese detalle, y miren ese escenario de batalla final del nivel, horrible, pudieron hacer mejor trabajo en snes, en cambio solo se ve que solo recompilaron
