Felicitaciones! Tienes unas manos maravillosas, trabajas muy lindo, lo haces ver muy fácil... Intentaré hacer los ruffles, te contaré como me fue. Bendiciones.

I love the bun!
So beautiful! Thanks for sharring!
Beautiful cake :) Can I use modeling chocolate for the ruffles?
Just beautiful and perfect
Always love love your tutorials!!! Never missed an episode!!! Can't wait to see the next one!!! :D
Great tutorial video! Thx for sharing! Im a beginner cake decorator and I live on youtube for tutorials!!!
hola me en encanta su tutorial pero tengo una duda la maquinita que tiene es una maquina de hacer spaquettis? gracias y perdone mi groseria si es una imprudencia gracias nidia
Ah, THAT´S the way! Thanks for showing, hard to find this technique in Germany. One question: for a professional, how long does it take for decoration of a cake in this size?
im studying pastry arts and would love to use this idea for my wedding cake project. i was just wondering, what colour mixing do you do to achieve that purple? every time i try mine turns a gross blue.
hi, which camera did you use for this video? btw, the cake turned out to be so pretty!!
This was helpful. Thanks.
Fantastic video!!
Can you put these ruffles on a buttercream iced cake? If so, would you still need to paste the ruffles with water or would they just sort of stick to the crusted buttercream?
Hahaha. It's not too bad once you get started, but I don't blame you. Thanks for watching!
Could you attach the ruffles straight onto a butter creamed cake or does it have to have a layer of fondant first ?
Nice technique
Thank you so much for watching!
how much % of fondant and gum paste did you use to create the frills?
Si, es una maquina de hacer pasta, pero sin el accesorio que corta las tiras para los espaguetis, simplemente lo usa para estirar el fondant =)
i kite ur tutorials its fun to watch..
So what happens when you cut into it? It seems like the layers would fall off -- or do they sort of end up molding to the cake after a bit?
Is the cake first covered in a layer of fondant, then attach the fondant ruffles? You make it look easy but i bet it requires a LOT of patience! :)
Can I use candy melt for the ruffles
gorgeous!
wowwww cant wait to try this!!!!!!!!!!
Did you use marshmallow fondant?
Wow so beautiful
Hi!
Please tell me if the fondant frill can be attached directly onto a buttercream iced cake or does the cake need a layer of fondant over buttercream first?
hi, I´m from germany so please excuse if there are some spelling mistakes... :) I´m going to bake the wedding cake for a friend and I really like the look of those ruffles on the cake, but I would like to know, how the texture of the fondant will turn out with regard to the process of cutting it into slices? I´d be very grateful for some experience reports.
I loved, thaks for video, you are a genius =)
Thanks for watching!
What Fondant was that? Any ideas anyone?
Omg amazing so easy
you make it easy looking.
I need to make a ruffle cake with larger pieces of the fondant - I have a picture - can you help with any ideas?
Thank you
Hi. I want to make this cake the night before a party. If I keep this cake if the refrigerator with all the frills added, will this be ok? Or will the humidity ruin the frills after I take it out of the refrigerator for delivery. I am a home cook so I need advice which doesn't require fancy tools.
I put my fondant cakes in the refrigerator all the time. I never have any issues with them.
As far as what you can use for tools for the frills, you can use a tooth pick and roll it on the edges of the fondant.
Hope this helps!! :)
Mehnaz Alam like Pamela said a toothpick would work so would the handle end of a thin paintbrush (this would give you larger ruffles than a toothpick) just use the very tip of the handle for this application. Good luck in the kitchen

How do you keep your fondant from cracking?
You should be using 50% fondant/ %50 percent gumpaste. When it cracks or feels tougher you need to add a little bit shortening to soften it back up.
That's going to be my birthday cake lol
lovely, thanks for sharing :)
Great way to decorate a cake, however, it looks upside down if that makes sense. I've seen ombre ruffle cakes where the ruffles start from the bottom and the frills face down, not up. Personal preference and different way of doing things I suppose.
arent you from Ace of Cakes :D
such patience.....I would loose it about midway LOL!
Very cute and pretty ... yes the cake too ;o)
are u related to toni ellison?
that's not a screwdriver its a Tool used in the kitchen to work with fondant..
google "fondant tapered tool"
