As someone who grew up in New Orleans and loving Little Feat, I agree. Saw Lowell and “The Feat” a few times back in the day. Funky and funny, nothing but joy with these guys. 🤘😎
One of the most under rated bands of all time!!! Lowell was a true pioneer, highly rec giving Skin It Back a spin and Lowell's solo album is a must hear as well!
I got to see them live on their "Time Loves a Hero" tour. Absolutely epic. "Southern Rock/Blues" super group from a bunch of musicians mostly from LA. Lowell George was the Bob Dylan of his time. Ask Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt. "Weed, whites and wine" = "Willin"!!! Check it out.
Britt Reacts great to see some young people that appreciate good music and musicianship because Little Feat was such an underrated incredible band and it's almost impossible that someone would even come across this being released in "79"✌️
The original singer for the band is Lowell George. He sadly passed away in 1979. His vocals are unmistakable. I never got to see him live ,but I have seen this band at least a dozen times and no one is better live.
What do you mean original singer? Lowell George was right there playing slide. He may have sang lead on most of the songs but not all. Bill Payne always sang lead on Oh Atlanta.
@@oldcodger4371 I apologize . I didn't see him and since I knew it wasn't him singing and I know there is alot of material available without him in it.,, I made an assumption.
If you haven't yet, check out their live album - Waiting for Columbus. Best live album ever! I was at the concert where they recorded it - still the best concert I've ever been to. They were hugely popular in the DC area.
My aunt was a groupie for this band back in the day, they would regularly crash at her house for Seattle shows & still stays in touch with the surviving members. Glad to see someone reacting to them.
The Feats are up there with my top five favourite bands. And, as others have said, definitely underrated. Waiting for Columbus is one of the all-time best live albums.
You know, there's LOTS more from Little Feat you need to hear! Dixie Chicken th-cam.com/video/yaHEfJApEVM/w-d-xo.html Fat Man in the Bathtub th-cam.com/video/BS1k205YA1s/w-d-xo.html Tripe Face Boogie th-cam.com/video/bZCdpU4qPHs/w-d-xo.html Rock and Roll Doctor th-cam.com/video/lvelsr9vHhI/w-d-xo.html And it goes on...
You can get Little Feat with original singer Lowell George, plus Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris singing backup by reviewing "Dixie Chicken" from the Midnight Special. It's great.
The 1st time I heard Little Feat they opened for Hank Williams, Jr. I remember reading in the paper the next day that concert set the Kentucky record for drug busts at a single live event. Of course this was during the 80's and Nancy Reagans Just Say No campaign, do they were cracking down hard on everything.
I loved Little Feat. My girlfriend's favorite band after The Beatles. They were coming to town (Merriwether Post Pavilion in Columbia Md. I believe) and she really wanted to go. For some reason that I don't recall, it was a bad time for me but I promised we would see them the next time they came to town. Lowell George passed away a short time later. I felt terrible.
I agree with many folks on here. Please go back and listen to the original Little Feat with Lowell George. His voice is amazing. I saw Little Feat in1979 at the Lisner Auditorium in Wash., D.C. He died that night at age 34. Gone way too soon. I can't help feeling like the band after Lowell is a cover band but the music is still good...just not as good as with Lowell.
The album "Waiting For Columbus" is one of my favorites of all time. The live versions of their songs on that album are the best!! Easily one of the best live albums of all time. If you dug Oh Atlanta you will definitely groove on it. ✌🏻❤️
: I stopped listening to Little Feat (1969-1979) after Lowell George passed in 1979. Lowell George actually quit the band just before his death as tensions grew within the band over creative differences. They later reformed with Craig Fuller at lead vocals (Co-founder Pure Prairie League), but that Lowell George vocal CANNOT be duplicated in whole! Little Feat made 8 records with Lowell George: Little Feat (1971), Sailin Shoes (1972), Dixie Chicken (1973), Feats Don't Fail Me now (1974), The Last Record Album (1975), Time Loves A Hero (1977), Waiting On Columbus (1978), and Down On The Farm (1979) which was finished up after LG passed (RIP LG). After reforming, many more records were produced (1987-Present). The band fused broad styles of genres, Rock, Jazz, Country, and Blues into a very distinctive sound and produced some notable playlist jams within those first 8 records. Can't speak for the music post 1979. ....... not familiar with it. Sadly, this is not Lowell George singing here. Some must-listens from the first 8 records: Time Loves A Hero, New Delhi Freight Train, Fat Man In The Bathtub, Spanish Moon, Dixie Chicken, and Willin. Great reaction, TY
The pianist Bill Payne didn't sing that many songs. At this time in the band's history, slide guitarist Lowell George sang lead on most songs. Whoever wrote the song would sing it, so the other guitarist, Paul Barrere, sang a few too.
I saw them in concert at an outdoor venue in the late 80's. Such a fun time! I'd love it if you'd react to their song Fat Man in the Bathtub. My favorite version is on their Waiting for Columbus album.
These guys are great! You can do a little more exploring their music if you like, it's all good, how nice is that - try Dixie Chicken, RocknRoll Doctor, Fat Man In the Bathtub, Tripe Face Boogie, All That You Dream -
As always Girl you Rock! Pleeeease dive into every track on the album...Waiting for Columbus. I have been blessed to go from album to 8 track, cassette and still listen to the CD. Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸
Hi, are you going to react to anymore BTS? They have a lot more content I think you'd enjoy, and I'd love to see your reaction to their live performances like their concerts or their 2021 Festa
Little Feat introduced my generation to New Orleans/Cajun-style jazz. We lost a great artist when Lowell George passed.
As someone who grew up in New Orleans and loving Little Feat, I agree. Saw Lowell and “The Feat” a few times back in the day. Funky and funny, nothing but joy with these guys. 🤘😎
" I miss LITTLE FEAT more than I miss being eight years old." ~Bonnie Raitt~

H_ll yes!
Never underrated
collierpeoples1918: Underappreciated is more like it.
I never knew anyone that underrated these guys.
When Hard Rock Cafe opened in Atlanta decades ago, this was the first song played at their grand opening.

Lowell is in this video, singing backup and playing slide guitar. Bill Payne always sang lead on this song.

Peachtree is an english equivilat of the native trail name that ran the same path as the pachtree names from here to what is now Gainsville.

The face here, Bill Payne. Still in the even now stronger Little Feat. Wonderful band!
Thee music the music... you got that right Britt little feat was all about the music
I was a little later to Little Feat. I love Let it Roll, Texas Twister and Representing the Mambo.
My aunt was a groupie for this band back in the day, they would regularly crash at her house for Seattle shows & still stays in touch with the surviving members. Glad to see someone reacting to them.
Thanks Britt, that was delightful. I feel the same way about Little Feat--thanks for sharing your appreciation. All the best!
Used to have Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt and Emmy-Lou Harris as backup singers!
Their track “Spanish Room” is a must, comes complete with “Tower of Power” horns.
LOL. I was just about to say, "Which Peachtree?" All 50 cities in "Atlanta" have 3 or 4 roads with Peachtree in the name.
Love this reaction video!
Cheers from London 👍😎🏴🇬🇧
Danke! Sometimes i am following your videos, thank you, so i dont want to be a person who just listen, but appriciate presenting music in you own way
Thank you so much!!

I'm 60, first time I heard this. But I know they did, "Willin'." (another Willie Nelson song) love to and yours.

Britt.... You must buy Little Feat's Waiting For Columbus... One of the best live albums around... You'll thank me later...

Have you ever thought of making ASMR? You have such a soothing voice!
Glad you're getting into this band, they were and still are a major influence in the music industry
Great band!
If Feat don't make your hips move, you dead 😉
Miss Lowell George on vocals tho. I have all of their albums.

Congrats on 120k
Britt, this is a great tune, but check out another song called Oh Atlanta by a band called Bad Company. Class and classic!
I saw them in concert at an outdoor venue in the late 80's. Such a fun time! I'd love it if you'd react to their song Fat Man in the Bathtub. My favorite version is on their Waiting for Columbus album.
Try some more of LITTLE FEET
Lowell George is missing but he sounds quite a bit like him
I'd love to see your reaction to Teddy Bear by Red Sovine...it's a great story song
Love Little Feat! Thanks for a blast from the past!
Lowell bet Billy that he couldn’t write a hit song. So he did.

Some NF reactions would be great. Been waiting for weeks ❤
Yet another R'n'R band snubbed by the Hall of Fame..... Shame!
A lot of bands are not as good live as they are in the studio. Little Feat maybe the opposite, better live than on the record.
You talk too much
