been watching since the days of NMTD, it’s amazing what you’re doing and I can’t wait for more ☺️ p.s I’m from the uk but lived in wellington as a child and I’d love to go back someday
I have lupus and could relate so much to what you say about it having been hard to take care of yourself when you were younger, about your symptoms (lethargy and brain fog are constants for me, too), and how important it is to find people who understand you. My therapist doesn't focus on my illness (that would be amazing though!), but she does treat it with respect and compassion. I'm in a couple of chronic illness groups (in person and online) and it's been so healing and helped me actually care for/About myself. Best of luck on this journey. Thank you for sharing your story with us! Sending love from Las Vegas ♥️♥️♥️
My thoughts & prayers with you on february 3rd! That you go into that operating room fearless and come out full of so much new life and energy. Health & a speedy recovery for your amazing mum as well. You both got this
Mom of the year! I hope all goes well. I can't fathom what life has been like. But the future is bright. And your mom is the best. Hope both surgeries go well Love from OK USA
I stumbled across your video as I’m thinking of donating my kidney at 24 small world that you happened to be from NZ too as I’m from Wellington I hope your recovery is going well!
I have a chronic illness as well, so I can empathize with so much of what you said! I'll keep you and your Mum in my mind and heart as you prepare for surgery. I'm excited for you and I'll pray your anxiety recedes! Please keep us updated when you feel like it ❤️
Fingers crossed that all goes well! You're such a talented guy and I hope you'll get better after the transplant and to see much more from you in the future!
Dude I'm so happy for you that your mom can be your donor! That's the worst part. My friend has been on dialysis for months waiting to find a match for a kidney here in the usa. Chronic health issues suck. Plain and simple. But it sucks less everytime people open up about it. Besides all that, I'm so pumped to keep listening to your music. So ready for upcoming releases!
Soooo much best wishes for you Reuben, here I was sitting at home feeling sorry for myself after a cycle race crash smudged my face on the road and beat me up all over yesterday - I can't barely walk right just now, and now I realise how lucky I am to be in this position. I truly hope your transplant is wildly successful and it helps make your dreams come true. I remember following your TH-cam after seeing you play at the Takapuna Bar open mic. Keep living your best life, all the best and keep posting. You and your Mum are incredibly brave, incredibly brave.
Hi Rueben! I have followed your channel since NMTD and I think you are very talented and kind. I am so sorry that you have gone through this but you have an amazing attitude about all of it. It is wonderful that you chose to make a video about this and speak about your history and your emotions going through this health journey. I send prayers and hopes that the transplant goes well and that it enables you to do whatever you want to in life. :D
Best of luck brother. I've been loving the music for years and I wanted to say thank you, both for the music and for sharing this. Here's to a speedy recovery and exciting travels in the future!
Hi Reuben, I'm not entirely sure what I want to say besides thank you for sharing this. I'm not currently going through anything physically painful like this, but I think it does mean a lot for you to have shared this. You're being very open, and thank you also for sharing your music which I have truly enjoyed. Your music, your performances as Balthazar, and it makes me happy to hear you have so much in the works!
Hey reuben! Don't know if you're reading the comments on this but I'm really proud of you for doing this video ❤️❤️ very well made and well spoken man
Hey! I'm back to checking comments now haha. Thank you so so much ❤
