Do they not understand how much tension is on that cable and how fast it could cut them in half if it failed
This is hilarious. While watching at 2x speed the guys voice sounded like a Starwars Jawa. When I clicked on "normal" playback speed his voice sounded the same. 😂
Also funny are the comments from OSHA's cheering section-rather those brainwashed into believing life *must* be risk free-something that's always accomplished via:
colorful work posters/pamphlets with the aid of steel toed boots, bright vests, safety glasses, and a hard hat-and possibly gloves. :)
Barefoot folks and 1/2'' sheets of steel, what could ever go wrong? Reminded me of my late friend, 3 Toes Monday. Who forgot to invite a diver to the party?

Typical SE Asia operation. 5 guys waving their arms at the same time, the rest standing under the boom in their flip flops hollering directions. No wonder this equipment ended up in the water.
OSHA would have had a heart attack over this recovery.
Hook it up and lift it out stop playing around with fancy rigs and lifting equipment they have two chains attach one to front end and one to rear end and lift it out !
Now I know where they go the sound bites for the movie "Mars Attacks"
Goodness me who`s hand signal was the crane operator supposed to take direction from? I counted 3 or more at on time. Did you see those guys step over the taught tow line from the towing bulldozer to the bulldozer under tow? If that had snapped they would of had more than their balls cut off.Then they were all aver the crane whilst in operation can you believe that.Too many spectators to damn close. but yeah its out. Worksafe practice mm don`t think so
They did do in in record time I've seen them taking along time.
Not exactly "amazing skills". Would have been better to put the distressed dozer in neutral and the blade on float. The way they rigged the overhead lift jammed the cables between the track treads. They must have had a hard time freeing those cables. If the dozer was in neutral, the tracks would roll freely making the job of the rescue dozer much easier. They would have been better served to keep the crane hooked up to the rear to take some of the weight and just pulled it out.
The guy doing all that screaming and nobody was listening.

This took way longer than it should have. Was yelling at my screen the whole time - "back it away or lower the damn crane arm stupids! You're going to crush the cabin!" This could have easily gone from recovery to disaster the way they were lifting it at first.

🎉 You nearly always find these cultural video mechanical efforts as shambolic. Usually too many folk giving instruction to the drivers when what is needed is a qualified safety supervisor. The outrigger support setup is also sub standard which is to be expected, frankly! And the Hyundai driver could have formed a ramped exit in advance of this shambles.

That seemed pretty amateur at best and, more importantly, had that cable between the dozers snapped it would have likely killed anyone close.

This was the most dangerous recovery I have ever seen. I hope the idiot who ran the dozer into this mess is looking for another job. If any of those cables snapped there would just pieces of more idiots cut into hamburger by those cables. They needed to chase that screeching guy who seemed to think he was giving orders out of there. That dozer and crane operator needed to be talking together. I’m sure they will catch that many gallons of hyd oil and engine oil contaminated with water plus the diesel fuel. Bet they cut it loose right there on the ground.
No amount of money could get me any where near that water.

Only amazing thing is how did it get there in the first place !? Someone’s kid got a job handed to them , here go push dirt !

As someone watching from the US
• I was really glad to see no one got hurt in this disaster
• Also glad to see so many people and equipment working together to get the job done despite no one wearing safety equipment like hard hats or even (steel toe) shoes
• Good to see your recovery equipment is able to handle pulling out the bulldozer safely despite the danger and risks
• I can't imagine being a maintenance or repair person working to service this kind of recovered equipment

Wow. What a shit show! Surprised that the crane didn't end up upside-down next to the dozer. They considered it a complete success, as only 3 lives were lost during the operation.

At the very least that crane should have moved his gantry towards towards the other dozer! Lifting it directly up, is asking the dozer to pull the entire weight PLUS pulling on the cables!

It’s not amazing but highly dangerous n stupid technique. 1st the men should not go under the stuck machine in mud. If the line break you’ve 2 under the machine and 4 other in the crane hook and cable swing-back zone. Finally the bulldozer did help. Need wooden railway ties to put under the thin iron sheets holding the weight of the crane and the machine it’s lifting to stabilize itself. The crane should’ve stopped lifting the machine too high when another bulldozer is pulling it out. There are men in direct wire snap n whiplash zone to the end, very risky. The whiplash of snapped wire can cut a man in two in a second!
Barefeet, walking within crane cab's swing radius while the crane is turning. So many safety issues here.
