    I like that you guys broke off the main path, I love stuff like that. Makes it feel like your seeing things that very few people have. Great Job guys!

    I love this video AND the soundtrack (despite other comments).. I just hiked this trail last week after the Kona Low and the waterfalls were raging.. I wish you guys got the same waterfall activity

    If can, spend a couple nights in Hana and take your time hiking, lava tube and visit the heiau. Hana is beautiful.

    Aloha! Can you pls elaborate on the drive to Pipiwai? I was told that it was paved and a reg sedan would be fine. Would you agree?

    Great video and I always wondered on the bamboo area in terms of size. How long did it take round trip including a picnic like you did? Seems like if you do the other sites along Hana it might be tough to fit this in the end?

      Thanks for watching Don! It took us 3-4 hours in total but we really took our time. You could do it in less but it would be a rush. We've heard of folks starting super early (6AM) and cramming it all into one day but if your time allows take your time. You can stay a night (or more) and that is a great way to have more time in the Hana area and relax and enjoy a bit more. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel, plenty more awesome videos coming!

      Thanks you so much, unfortunately thinking I may have to pass on this due to tile but also by that time not sure I’ll have much gas to walk straight for 4 hours with my old legs lol. I really wanted to see the bamboo area...

      @@earthtrotterjones7835 You could always hike to the bamboo area and turn back! That would take less than half as long

    Pronounced Pee-Pee-Why, literal/loose translation is "Sprinkling Water", possibly because of waterfalls or rain. Wai(pronounced Why or Vie) is Hawaiian word for freshwater...
    One suggestion...Lose rap/hip-hop soundtrack & add Hawaiian songs, available at Amazon music, Spotify, Pandora, etc., etc.
    Some Hawaiian groups include Hoaikane, Hawaiian Style Band, Sunday Manoa, Sons of Hawaii/Dancing Cat Productions, Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, Jack Johnson, Na Leo Pilimehana, Hui Ohana, Ledward Kaapana, Popoki Records, Mountain Apple Productions & NUMEROUS others. There's even Hawaiian internet radio stations, just need to SEARCH...Informative video series.

      Appreciate you watching and the suggestions! We can’t make everyone happy with music selection (although we’d like too of course). Several of the artists are from our local area here in the NW so we like supporting them whenever we can.

      I get that you want to support NW artists but when looking at your videos, especially ones of Hawaii, MOST viewers/subscribers want to hear music associated with the area. If you do that, when viewers/visitors will remember their trip here w/greater clarity/appreciation...Sorta like word/smell trigger. For me, music is a STRONG trigger especially w/video footage. Great job on footage, tho!

    I love the video but hate the hip hop music or whatever it is

      @@TheDetouristGuide Ok. Did you guys drive on the roads on the west side of Maui? Are there roads that a jeep is necessary?

    • @TheDetouristGuide
      @TheDetouristGuide  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roadrunner9622 Yes we drove the full loop often. We never went on a road where a jeep was necessary (and we went on a lot of roads). Jeeps are a strange trend that has developed on Maui for some reason that is rather weird to be honest. Maybe in the past it was worse?
