This was a blast to watch. Fyi, if you scramble far down the other side of the road following that same stream where you started you come to an unreal waterfall that drops down. You would able to see it from the road looking into the canyon as you were heading back towards mile marker 8. Love your videos. I miss Maui! live there 14 years... going to be back one day. Aloha!
I know you posted this video forever ago, but a new subscriber. Great content and shots. Highly recommend longs Peak if you’re looking for the best hike you’ve ever been on. It will knock your socks off!
Awesome Jamie! Glad to hear you dig it. Thanks for the tip on Longs Peak. Is that in CO? Also, thanks for subscribing, we have a lot of rad new trips planned in the future ;)
I've done this trail about 6x since I moved here last summer, aside from Hana, my fav trail on the island so far!!! I'm working up the nerve to go up top of the falls via the ropes...have you been all the way up to the top of the second falls? I heard there was a way around so you can get to that 2nd and 3rd tier w/o having to climb the ropes over the water...is this true?
I just did the Mahana Ridge Trail yesterday afternoon and tomorrow I am thinking either this hike or the Waihee Ridge. I haven’t decided yet but was thinking the ridge would be an easier hike for me than this one. Looks like it was rough on your feet especially. What would you guys say to this? Really appreciate the videos, I will be doing all those hikes as well during this trip. 🤙🏽
Rickesh Patel Glad to hear! Waihee is definitely an easier trail and hike with less scrambling but it is steep. 13 crossings is less elevation gain but more scrambling and of course you’re going to get wet as well.
The Detourist Guide thanks for the swift response! I don’t know why but I enjoy steep inclines more than windier trails. Will probably do the ridge and hopefully it won’t be too cloudy

Awesome, so glad to share the Maui magic with those who miss it! We heard that other side is pretty sweet, we will have to check it out!
13 crossings hike is so cool! One of my favorite places on maui especially the waterfall you can climb up at the end
😃🤘

Thanks for watching Brad. That's awesome! We did not go all the way up but saw people coming down so it's definitely possible.
