Thanks for the update. I am keeping the Sonos equipment I have and I’m waiting to buy anything else until all the updates and corrections are finished. Rock on!
sonos is in a sad state. I used to look forward to Peter's videos to learn something new about how to get the most out of my Sonos system/investment ... to have to devote all recent videos to just how screwed up Sonos has things is too bad ... recently I needed to set up music in a family vacation home and I wanted to set up something with sonos ... instead I put in some amazon echos in stereo in several rooms ... which sadly ... have gotten to be a consideration, not as echo has gotten so much better, but with how far the sonos app has fallen, it no longer justifies the premium position it had in my music solution options ... thanks for you continued perseverance Peter
With all the improvements they are putting in why can’t they add adjust center speaker for increased speech volume? I know you can toggle speech enhancement but if you can increase the height volume why not center channel?
I agree that this option is needed. It would help if we could set up stand alone speakers to take over the front left and right duties as well. Dialogue is mainly an issue with the Arc. I don’t have the same dialogue clarity issues in my playbar and beam gen 2 tv rooms. The Arc has some major design flaws. They’ve tried to rectify them through updates, and all that happened was the subs got nerfed for months. Hopefully the next flagship bar Sonos puts out returns to a tried and true rectangular shaped heavy cabinet. This oval looks nice under a TV, but does nothing but hinder the sound quality capabilities of the device. They had a winner with the playbar design, all they had to do was make it longer, add a few more drivers, and give it all the modern decoding capabilities.
I have 12 Sonos speakers 😢. Still have huge problems. Specially with the 2 sonos 5. I think the focus should be on fixing the connections problems. And then the rest.

Another great video - thank you! I have a quick question about my setup, if you have a minute to respond, I'd really appreciate it :) So I have the ultimate Sonos surround setup in my living room with the Arc, Gen 3 Sub, and 2 Era 300's. I also have an Era 100 in my kitchen and one in my bedroom. The problem that I have sometimes: my television (LG G3 + Apple TV) decides to output audio to ALL the Sonos devices in my house, instead of just the ultimate surround system. I have to go into the Apple TV quick menu, select output to one of the Era 100s, than undo it and select the TV as output, which fixes the issue. But, it's annoying and I was wondering if you ever have a similar issue with the Ultimate Surround setup acting up like this. Thank you in advance! -Sergey

Thanks for your time with Sonos Pete. I am a long time user who has a vinyl collection. I bought a set of Ace headphones some months ago with the intention of listening to my vinyl via the Bluetooth connection. However it simply doesn’t work. I can listen to my Sony TV using the swap function. But despite my Project pre phono amp having Bluetooth connectivity I cannot listen with the Ace headphones to my vinyl playing on my Project turntable. My system consists of the Arc, amp, mini sub and a Five speaker. I wrote to Patrick Spence CEO a month ago but am yet to receive a reply. Any help would be greatly appreciated Pete.
I love their products and was looking forward to the new ones but concerned about viability of the company going forward. Would love to see you have a longer video on your prognosis of the company.
At last you seem to be a little bit frustrated, Peter. But it's not enough. I don't know why your system hasn't been as badly affected as so many of us. These changes do not address any of the real problems: disappearing speakers, huge time lags before the app lets us make changes, not to mention the general incomprehensibility of the new interface.
Accessibility definitely seems to have improved. Previously, my screen reader would read both the menu item and the respective toggle as independent items, making navigation a lot more trouble.
Whew, Luckily mine didn't auto-update and I was able to sell my Fives. Took me longer than I expected though. Ugh. I sold them to go back to a more traditional setup with the Wiim Ultra streamer, Fosi monoblock amps and speakers. I'm sticking with you though, Pete!

Stop being so naive and give them more money by buying their products.
My right ERA 300 disappeared from my system after installing the newest app release! Please Sonos, fix this problem! 😡 It won´t add to my system any more!
Such a pain this app, its atrocious, also the WM0 under network settings is still not visible, it was there in the old app, how hard is it to implement this by having a conversion plan when migrating the old app to the new app… also the way spotify responds to commands via this app is atrocious.. takes ages simply skip tracks…
So.....today, I tried to actually enjoy streaming. Same crap. No Products Found, Incorrect Network...meanwhile, music continues (sometimes with no audio) with zero control. And after reading the comments, I now see the EQ is jacked-up to high Heaven. I adjust and set to my taste...and it continues to reset back to its flat setting. Good grief.
All this for the new headphones? lol I even returned those headphones, there are better sounding earbuds for similar price in the market which is embarrassing

I dont have any problem with the Sonos app. Answer is to never ever tick the auto update toggle. That goes for any app or sw update on any Android or Apple updates. Let it rest for a few weeks and read comments first. My old S2 app is still working as expected and so is my Sonos system. Never ever be a early adopter.
I have a friend that returned all his Sonos gear he bought a few months ago because it just wouldn’t work. They need to hurry up with the fix. I want to buy new gear but I’m not buying anything till it’s all fixed and stable and not changing constantly
I want playlist back!
tap the right arrow next to Favourites - it's there.
You guys remember the Sonos Sub that was broken for many months? You think that it was the last time and they learned from their mistakes? Then the Sonos app... it will just continue as long as people buy their products. If people stop buying their products then they have to fix it. Money talks guys. Stop being so naive and give them more money by buying their products.
At least you didn’t sell your stuff and buy Bose!🤣
I would love to hear SONOS´ replies to your comments.
My right ERA 300 disappeared from my system after installing the newest app release! Please Sonos, fix this problem! 😡 It won´t add to my system any more!
Its about time Sonos allowed us to use individual speakers for a full setup other than their sound bars . Pathetic really .
F Sonos. I can’t even use my obscenely priced system. It’s essentially bricked
Good grief.
Don’t use an alarm on Sonos. I have an alarm on my phone
Never had issues with Alarm, cannot figure out why others would be having such, set once and worked ever since
Canceled all my future Sonos purchases after this disaster of a software update! Going to Sony instead.. Just works and it's cheaper
I am pissed. App is still not stable.
Whenever sonos release something...this ruin sound quality. I now have to wait for next release.
Sound quality has not been ruined by the new app.
I’ve ended up selling all my Sonos speakers. The new app is so bad - I hate the layout the most. I’m thinking Sony HTA9 or BOSE.
Bose?🤣
@@billmulvihill8452 Bose no good?
Sonos needs to hire people who dont do hard drugs while on the job. It really is that bad.
All this for the new headphones? lol I even returned those headphones, there are better sounding earbuds for similar price in the market which is embarrassing
Alarm on Sonos. I don’t use it. Too unreliable. I would love to ditch the Apple home pods and just use Sonos to control my lights and alarms etc but sadly unreliable
New gui is awful, just awful. My wife won’t even use it any more. What was wrong with the original format, you know the intuitive one that worked?
I hate the new app. It feels confusing
SONOS SUCKS !!!! IT'S OFFICIAL
Just don’t buy Sonos!! They are a joke!
App still suck....layout of app is very poor. Looks like sonos gave contract to cheap company. They can't even build a decent app.
Why there is no turn off button given by sonos ?
One of my Sonos Era 300 constantly disconnects using either Airplay or via the app. The Arc is great but the connection errors on the Eras is unforgivable. Fortunately I use the Era’s mainly to listen to my vinyl records connected by cable so at least that is not affected yet!
