I believe the avatar after korra will restore their connection to their previous lives. I’ve noticed that when an avatar has a regret or a goal they failed to accomplish the avatar that proceeds them ends up fixing it in some way. Avatar Kurruck for example lived the shortest life in avatar history only Kyoshi to live the longest, Avatar Roku sparing the fire lord lead to the 100 year war only for Avatar Aang to defeat the fire lord and end it, Avatar Aang was unable to bring back his people until Avatar Korra’s actions against Unavatu brought back Airbending to the world. Last but not least Korra’s biggest regret is losing her connection to her previous lives which I believe will be fixed by the avatar that proceeds her.
I agree. I think that might be the biggest plot point between the earth avatar and korra, with korra helping as much as she can so that when it eventually gets restored, korra can be at peace. There's no way the connection is severed forever. That would be the worst thing they could do.
ALSO Aang has blocked out the connection of past avatars before in the comics (bringing them back eventually) so im sure it could be possible. The only thing is, the reason they are 'gone' is because this is like a new 10,000 year cycle of the Avatar so it 'starts from scratch' and Raava was basically like a holder of those memories/souls i think. BUT past lives are past lives and they are always connected through spirit (not raava). NOTE: Everyone reincarnates, not just the avatar, having raava attached to their reincarnated soul is what allows them to talk to past lives Example: Sokka dies/died at some point, his soul was reincarnated into a earth kingdom baby. It follows the same path as the avatar, just without the benefits. ^ If im wrong, then that's dumb bc it just makes sense IMO.
they should make a series about the 2nd avatar after wan. like, nobody has any idea on why this man can bend multiple elements and their only basis for this is some guy who kept hanging out with spirits that one time. it'd be so fun.
2nd avatar: Who are you? Wan: I’m Wan nice to meet you. Avatar: how is this happening? Wan: long story. Avatar: How do I solve this issue? Wan: how tf should I know I was just a guy
Crazy how this comes full circle for the creators. The original idea was in a futuristic setting and now that they finally have their OWN studio, and built an amazing series, they now have the ability to bring their original idea to life!

The fire sages check every baby for fire bending abilities by reading their chi, so the parents can be cautious and make sure their baby doesn’t burn the house down. Most likely, the Avatar has a unique chi signature, so Roku was probably identified as an infant,
Waterbenders can blood bend. Airbenders can suffocate you. It wouldn’t surprise me if earthbenders could bonebend or manipulate the minerals in another body. Could firebenders manipulate someone’s chi?
@MaeRose26 that makes No Sense, because the Avatar can Bend any element, if there would be differences, the Air nomad way of Findling the Avatar wouldnt have worked in kyoshi either.
The tea pot!! Baby Korra with Iroh in the spirit world. She recognized the tea pot and Iroh explains that that's what Wan/her carrier Raava in. He says "you can still taste the light." I think the tea pot will have significance in finding the next avatar.
Why not both? The hospital records identify the avatar, three years later White Lotus comes in with their box of goodies to honor tradition and thirteen years later they do habemus papam
It feels strange to me that the next avatar after Korra is already in a cyberpunk setting, because of how much the technology of the world will have to advance within a single lifetime. Korra lived in an era patterned after the 1920s; I would have expected the next Earth Kingdom avatar to live in a setting that looked a lot like our present day. Then you could have a Fire Nation avatar in a futuristic cyberpunk/space travel world. But maybe the writers are going to establish that Korra lived a very long life, like Avatar Kyoshi. It would have to be either that, or an explosion in technological advancement even more rapid than has occurred in our world, which would be hard to imagine! I'm still interested to see what they come up with-- it's going to be a real challenge to show us a world so different from the Avatar world we remember that still feels like it's continuing the same story. We'll have to see how it turns out! As far as using hospital records to match the time of a baby's birth to the avatar's time of death, that would be a very useful tool for finding the next avatar, but I don't think it would narrow it down completely. There are a lot of babies being born around the world, and we don't know if the transfer is instantaneous, or if it can take a few minutes. And if the previous avatar dies in a battle or even just at home, you might not have an exact minute of death.
That’s what I was thinking too. From 20,560 babies being born within that timeframe, they would have to test them all but it’ll take a long time. It would be best if they brought six or eight spirits from the spirit world and task them to find a baby with the highest chi intensity. While the sages wait, once the four babies are three or four years old. Each has to pick an item that belonged to the previous Avatar. These sections can be done separately so the children don’t get distracted or influenced by each other. Once the child has chosen the item. That’s the Avatar. Some children will be born with intensive energy levels while the rest of newborns will have regular energy levels. By using the spirits aide, they can narrow down the number of candidates. I don’t know. This is my tea thoughts. 😄✌️☕️
@@MetahumanSG21why putting this task to the spirits instead of letting the people do it. I just hear “yeah for us it would be hard, let s appoint someone else to do something only us want to find out”
Maybe the way they find the new Avatar would be like the first time Aang went into the Avatar state. Something very emotional happened that triggers the state and someone recorded it happening. The State and recording would be a good way to bridge together the past and present too
I mean, they could just get a spirit to identify them... or ask one. Remember, they can detect Raava 😅 my theory, is that Jinora will detect korra's energy in the new person and confirm it by asking a spirit if they detect Raava
Of topic:In the ep. Jet Katara made a hat for Jet when she still liked him but he never weares it, insted you can see Aang wearing it in the background which foreshadows their relationship
Another issue that is going to complicate things further is the fact that there are now blended societies. Starting with the colony of Yu Dao, people from different nations are intermarrying and forming mixed populations. The earth bender avatar may be born in republic city because one of their parents is originally from the earth kingdom. I also suspect that some of the water bending avatars came from the foggy swamp which made it harder to locate them.
I guess you could use both as when Korra dies, there's still the chance she could've fallen in battle, making time more or less approximate. In case where TOD can not be made exact, you can then use the "relic" trick to narrow down to the one based on birth records from that specific day
I don't recall them being lost forever either... she had trouble connecting and had that specialing healing... but if they were lost forever, wouldn't that be the end of the avatar? What episode are people refering to that say it was lost?
@@racheljensen1823 I'm not sure which specifically by number, but it should be the one where Zaheer tries to kill Korra with quicksilver. There is a scene where they show all other Avatars being erased in the ancestral line. They never state however that this means they are simply gone, I just saw it as Korra losing her connection to the spirits.
@@Mediados Yeah, I remember her struggling to get that back, I always assumed she eventually did. I'm with you, though, I don't think the connection was severed for good :)
I wonder if, instead of Republic City, we’ll see the next Avatar in another tech-focused city, a la Zaofu. Zaofu came basically from Suyin Beifong’s will alone, and between ATLA & LOK, Republic City grew from nothing into a huge city. It wouldn’t surprise me if the next series chooses a new location that grew from nothing in the intervening hundred years, especially if it’s relevant to the story to explore why that city became so big (e.g., a Houston-type city getting big off of oil).
the creators have definitely mentioned working on a next avatars series, they mentioned it in the podcast but I feel that the next avatar will be around 50-60 years after Koreas season, will be way more modern but not as futuristic as people are thinking not totally cyberpunk but have to remember the avatar world is changing more modern but including more spirits . and my guess is that Korea won't live as long but not too short either I think she will pass around late 60's 70's also excited to see the new avatar connect and speak with Korra
@@Uh_0h_zillaI think he will be able to speak with Korra, but only Korra (at least at first.) I think the connections had basically a hard reset. I think they could get away with Korra basically living to be around 100 and dying in a terrorist attack on Republic City in their equivalent of 2001. Then pick up with an Avatar who is in their early 20s and set in the modern day.
@@PelafinaLievre nah in comics korra writes a letter/book to the next avatar telling him he will not be able to connect with her or any of the past avatars
In the Korra Avatar Chronicle it states in the Unalaq page “…I am sorry that you wont have the connection with me, with aang, and with all the lives that you’ve lived before”. So basically the next Avatar is as of a clean slate as Wan.
@@eglol Bringing up generations is a good point. Many people dislike the whole avatar connection being severed but in the next avatar’s generation it wouldn’t be as practical. @@iloveowls90 I mean im pretty sure the only thing they have to go off of is korras vision of past avatars being severed. She could very well be wrong.
It has never come to my mind that Republic City could be a place where the next Avatar could be born! It is old Earth Kingdom territory. This might not play too much of a role, but I wonder about the "mixed races" and if that will play any affect in who the next Avatar is. They played it up in the comics for the start of Republic City. Probably won't because Avatar kyoshi was the daughter of an Airbender and an earth bender. So I'll assume it's more location based. Cool video!
There is one more thing. The test for firebending babies. It was described in the Kyoshi books, I know it didn't work on her but it would still be a possible tehnique
About half of those are unlikely. Bloodbending is illegal, Combustionbending has no available teachers, and Flight requires letting go of your Earthly Tether. That wouldn't happen. Especially for an Earth Avatar.
@@joesunday199blood bending could still be learnt and used if needed, combustionbend is still workable cus it’s still known and people could still practice it, and flying would probably be the only one that an avatar would never learn cause it would take away their ability to bend earth but there may be other ways to fly
@@MajesticDisplay Lavabending works differently than Combustionbending. With Lavabending it is heating up the Earth and then Bending it. Combustionbending is far more complicated. Requiring a specific way to learn it that could result in losing limbs if done wrong.
Those two ideas on how to find the next avatar sounds good, but I have a different idea of how to find the alpha tower after Korra. First of all, I don’t know if the earth kingdom will still have a king or not, but in this case, once avatar, Korra passed away, the white lotus begin the search for the next avatar immediately in the leader of the earth kingdom decreed that every earth kingdom parents would bring their newborns\ babies to be tested to see if they’re in the next avatar or not. Wendy find the one particular baby, he or she recognize one of the items or pictures or even the elements and bend them. Everyone will know who the next avatar is.
I made a fan made Avatar that would succeed Kora called Aku I think its been a while since I drew him. And like Kyoshi he also used a weapon which was a katana. He had a trench coat, wraps around his hands and those typical earth bender round hats
I think they'll do both get the records of anyone born at roughly the same (Cause all clocks might not be perfectly synchronized) then pull out a more traditional test. In this case cause they're so close to Korra the necklace she made for Asami. I also think it would bema nice touch if the next Avatar said her name when picking up the necklace.
If the Earth Federation is ever going to be a villain in the next Avatar series it's also possible that they find the Avatar before anyone else does and capture it and put into an underground lab so they can train him without any one able to reach the Avatar and eventually use as a weapon (obviously is gonna rebel against them)
When harmonic convergence happened and people got airbending randomly, my first thought was many people would probably think the avatar died and the person with the two elements is the next avatar. Especially since it's like the 1920s and there was no internet to communicate the avatar is still alive
It's possible they could base the future of the Earth Kingdom on China, where there are very technologically advanced mega cities, but very rural areas. The idea of being able to track everyone born may not be likely. If the next Avatar was born in a small village, he'd likely go somewhere larger to train to learn the other elements.
You forget about the dark avatar and the connection to the Spirit world. They will probably have the dark avatar in charge of a lot of the world so its not going to be an easy find. It will probably have to be a race for which side will find them. But it will probably be a new kinda technology that scans the area for signs of spirits. As the avatar is one of the few people who have a Spirit inside of them, it should be an easy find when they narrow down to a city.
Imagine that in the new series, first season is about two (or myb more) friends. BUT the reveal who is the avatar is at the end of the first season and not in the beginning.
Yes, to this idea! They can display a whole population of POC with amazing abilities to sandbend as well as having amazing architecture using sea elements and sand, cobblestone, wood and rice.As we know now in modern times, the Great Wall of China was built with stone, tampered earth, wood, granite blocks and sticky rice mortar. As for the swamp civilization, they may have advanced swampships, weapons for hunting and self defense. Their architecture can resemble the indigenous Australians habitat, but instead of wood they use grass, trees and other plants to create the cocoons. Some are fully clothed, others aren’t because they wish to keep their ancestors way of life. They are still a peaceful society and have no issues with any of the nations. Their exports can be rice, condiments: salt, hot peppers, corn, and beans, woven baskets and other kitchen items. 😅 Sorry for the long rant. These ideas would be awesome to see on screen as an outcome after centuries of being set aside by the fire nation.
Checking the dates and times of birth and death has the potential to get more than a few matches, especially given how large and populous the world is. This group of kids could be monitored, either knowingly or not, until they reached 16 and were tested or until one of them had an outburst with another element.
I hope we follow the next avatar for a while before they find out they're the avatar but it turns out they're the dark avatar reborn and they end up connecting with Unalaq like Shuri did with Killmonger in Wakanda Forever
I prefer the first option too! But I think there's another method too, I know real show makers can't take ideas from fans or their works, but I think they can have some inspiration and make it that they're struggling to find the next avatar and they do what did with Kyoshi (and Genshi) and to calm the public they say they "found" the avatar. But something happens to the real avatar and he/she is suddenly bending fire all of sudden and whoever is around is like, wait: "I thought you were an earthbender?" and then the dominos fall from there
What if the next Avatar(s) are twins? Each bending two elements and only together they can use the avatar state, for example. They could be born while their parents are traveling, and due to an accident they are then separated. One growing up in Republic City, the other among elemental bending & more or less sentient animals.
@@joesunday199 In itself that's right. But Raava and Vaatu are like two sides of the same coin, with the mechanism of if one of them 'dies' it will be reborn within the other. As such twins can happen in two scenarios: possibility one would be Raava's soul residing in both twins, which should be possible within the lore of Avatar, which would be the case in my idea as previously stated; possibility two would be Raava's soul being in one of the twins while Vaatu's soul being in the other twin. Both Raava and Vaatu should have the same abilities regarding the soul in connection with elemental bending, so an Avatar connected to Vaatu's soul should be possible as well. And even more so considering Korra's achievement about connecting the mortal and the spirit worlds, as well as considering the development of technology and the combination of bending genes, and all that. The possibility of twins is at least not 0%, at least according to my understanding of the lore of Avatar.
@@timszarfenord7443 Neither scenario works. Raava is bound to one person and can't be split. Vaatu isn't even close to the point where he could split from Raava. Also, if Vaatu could be in the other twin; that twin would only be connected to one Element. Vaatu never connected to more than one unlike Raava.
@@joesunday199 Regarding Vaatu, you are right. Regarding Raava, while the spirit/soul may can't be 'split', the 'body' actually can; as one spirit/soul being connected to two bodies. And, as the soul is just a kind of energy in a certain form, of course it can be split under certain circumstances, although the split parts would be weaker individually and if they aren't reconnected to each other after the deaths of their bodies, then it could lead to serious problems. Raava and Vaata represent Yin and Yang in a way, and 'balance' can be found and moulded in various ways. I don't say that it is 100% possible with this idea of explaining, but it also isn't 0%. Especially the lore of Avatar has the possibility for such a thing being possible. Who knows what kind of side effects or long-lasting effects it can have that Raava is bound to a human soul for so many lifetimes, not to mention that the Avatar cycle is more or less starting anew with Korra reconnecting with Raava anew. All I'm saying is that twins being Avatars together is possible in whatever way, but not very likely. In the end, it's up to the creators of Avatar whether it may be actually possible or not.
@@timszarfenord7443 If there'd be twins; one would be the Avatar; the other would not. The other twin could not connect to Korra as they don't have Raava. The other twin also could not use more than one Element. Best case scenario is that the twin looks identical to the Avatar.
I like your whole republic city idea but I think they’ll probably be in the earth kingdom unlike Korra won’t easily bend the other elements and they’ll be more grounded unlike her won’t be found for a while maybe after they move to republic city
This would be interesting given that we have no idea how the second Avatar's life went after Avatar Wan died. All that we know is that when the Avatar Cycle began, the second Avatar was an airbender, since the cycle began with Wan, whose original element was fire.
My guess is that if they're going to do another Avatar series that's roughly 100 years after the Legend of Korra, the technology will probably be close to our current level of technology, maybe a little more advanced. As for the methods that you suggested, they might do a mixture of the two. When Korra dies, there might be 100+ babies born on that day. They would have to look up birth records, and then, depending on how many babies were born, they would use the first method mentioned to determine which one is the next avatar.
Forget the Avatar for second, I almost wonder how people will feel about Avatar going into something more sci-fi of a setting. I didn't know about that detail until watching this video and now that gets me curious.
I firmly believe that it is indeed possible for Korra, or another Avatar, to reconnect with the previous Avatars. This conviction is strongly fueled by an important instance in “The Legend of Korra” where we see Aang in the Fog of Lost Souls after his spirit endured what should have been a fatal attack at the hands of Unalaq and Vaatu. While it’s tempting to interpret this surreal moment as merely a manifestation of Tenzin's memories-materialized by the spirits to aid him in confronting his own identity crisis-I feel the implications of this encounter delve much deeper into the very fabric of the Avatar's spiritual legacy. Aang’s experience with death carries a profound significance; he was not only another Avatar, but he also faced the destructive force that posed a dire threat to his very essence. Azula’s attack, which could have irreparably harmed his Avatar spirit, was instead repaired by Katara which catalyzed a journey toward recovery and reconnection. His ability to reestablish his bond with the Avatar lineage underscores the themes of resilience and the potential for spiritual healing, even amidst tragic and unsettling circumstances. Korra’s journey closely parallels this theme of revival and restoration. She confronted her own near-fatal challenge during her struggle with mercury poisoning, an experience that jeopardized her Avatar spirit and appeared to sever her connection to the previous Avatars. Yet, thanks to the Fire Sages who found her, she found a way to revitalize this crucial bond. By reconnecting with Avatar Wan, the very first Avatar, she embarked on a transformative journey that guided her in rediscovering her link with Raava, the spirit of light and peace that is integral to the Avatar’s essence. The experiences of both Aang and Korra suggest that even in the darkest moments of despair, there exists a glimmer of hope for restoring the connection to the Avatar's past. This underscores a fascinating possibility: that Korra, or even another future Avatar, could find a path to reach out and reconnect with previous Avatars. It emphasizes the profound idea that the bonds of the Avatar spirit are not only resilient but are also capable of restoration through understanding, guidance, and the relentless pursuit of perseverance. The cyclical nature of their journeys reinforces the belief that the legacy of the Avatar lives on and can be reclaimed regardless of the obstacles faced.
While we know that Aang was born when Roku died, but we don't know the specifics of the others there. So the birth time method may not be something that would work if there is a larger range of dates there. It also assumes that the kid would be born in a hospital at all, and that they'd also know the time when Korra dies.
I hope they make some possibility to reconnect again to the past Avatars, I mean the first Circle is gone but Korra is still alive and probably (Hope so) know them and could be that this makes it that Korra or tthe new Avatar can find a Connection again
Could still be like a 100 babies born within a minute or so of Korra dying. They could use the record to narrow it down, and then visit each child individually with the toy box
Well we don’t know if the next avatar show will happen but if it does I might or might not be good and might be a small series plus it might be very bad if it is cyber punk for this franchise is fantasy
And what if it’s as simple as Korra first finding the Dark Avatar and having them find the next person in the cycle? Raava and Vaatu are eternally connected, where there is light there will always be darkness and vice versa. That’s what it means to have balance. What’s more is that Korra could teach the Dark Avatar not so much to exclusively follow her example, but to choose their own path, while still making sure that they don’t involve the innocent. Vaatu is the Spirit of Darkness and Chaos, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Vaatu is evil.
the question is, in a cyberpunk world with all that technology, and hight tech weapons. how much do they even care about the avatar? what if some even see him as a dread, searching for another reason. Form Korras time to Cyberpunk, feels like there is a gab.
The world of Kora recalls the interwar period so looking at what changes have taken place in our world in 80 years, it may be similar in the world of avatars. The new avatar may be the next one after Kora. But that's just a theory.
I do have to say; while in Roku's story telling of his death; the transition was instantaneous its not proven that it happens at the exact same time; he just says 'and then you were born' which leaves the writers the option to allow for time passing, or for the transition to be instantaneous currently there is not a moment where the writers have outright stated how soon after death the rebirth takes place. Additionally, if the rumors of a new season happening 100 years in the future are true, its more likely that we'll get Korra's 3rd reincarnation; a fire bender, rather than earth as Korra is already inher 20's by the end of her series. If we wait 100 years, Korra would most likely have been dead for decades, unless she found a way to live to the ripe age of 100+ ( I know that's not unheard of in Avatar, but its mostly those from the earth kingdom or sages). So either we're going to get a story starting with a realized avatar in their 30's+ who's already been found and is dealing with what it means to hold the Avatar title in a world that may need one even less than in Korra's time, OR, the Earth bender Avatar dies at a young age for some reason, and we're actually following the Fire nation Avatar. Thoughts on this? heres how the math in my head works out: Korra is 21 at the end of Book 4; If we are generous and give her an additional 70 years of life, she will pass away at 91 years. If the next story takes place 100 years after Book 4 of Legend of Korra, that leaves a gap of around 30 years, regardless of whether the avatar rebirth in instantaneous or not, that still means we'll end up with an Avatar aged 28 - 30. All this IF Korra lives past 90; if she passes earlier, we'd get an Avatar somewhere in their 40's or 50's making it much more likely that they have an 'accident' and die early if the Writers want us to follow the story of a young avatar rather than an old one.
actually, there is still room for error with the method of comparing korra's time of death to a newborn's time of birth. Korra might not die in the hospital and therefore the time of death might vary a few minutes to maybe even several hours. On the other hand, the new avatar could also not be born in a hospital, posing the same problem of the time being off ever so slightly.
The second method wouldn’t work unless the entire world kept rigorous hospital records like that. If the setting is one where only one or a few places are advanced steampunk with many other places still more backward technologically, then there’s no guarantee the next avatar will be born in one of the places with big hospitals and accurate records of times of birth.
Hey, the moment Roku died was NOT the moment Aang was born - there can be up to a week of wiggle room, though I can't remember where that info comes from.
And then after that next avatar I hope you can make one of the avatar a composite bender And then after that next avatar, I hope you can make one of the Avatar a composite Bender.
To me if we follow the elements cycle the next avatar it’s either going to a earth bender or a fire bender we already had air avatar aang, korra was water!
Here's a weird theory. Similar to the way aang recconected with roku, is it possible for this new avatar to find the special items of the previous avatars and idk, enter the avatar state while holding them and search for some sort of faint spiritual essence. I was thinking about it like the spirit world. Spirits usually leave essences like a trail i guess. So just follow the breadcrumbs while chanting the names
I have a theory, the name of the avatar rhymes with the previous avatar’s pet, roku’s pet with fang and that rhymes with aang, there’s appa and korra that are near-rhymes, korra’s pet is naga so the next avatr’s name should rhyme with naga
Well I think the advancement of Republic City over the years stemmed from Zuko’s desire to restore the honor of the Fire Nation and by allowing both Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom citizens to live together, the city progressed greatly, especially in later years and the Air Nation’s return. Man, I think watching the new series will be sad to the fans considering how most of the characters from Korra’s story are dead and well I don’t need to talk about Aang’s cast.

Yes, I hope so, too. There would be no point to an Avatar if they can't draw from the experiences of their previous incarnations.
yes!!!
Yes this is awesome
NOTE: Everyone reincarnates, not just the avatar, having raava attached to their reincarnated soul is what allows them to talk to past lives
Example: Sokka dies/died at some point, his soul was reincarnated into a earth kingdom baby. It follows the same path as the avatar, just without the benefits.

Why not both? The hospital records identify the avatar, three years later White Lotus comes in with their box of goodies to honor tradition and thirteen years later they do habemus papam
The new Avatar might take place in Zaofu. Since they are an Earth bender they might be the first primarily metalbending avatar.
Zaofu
@@zuzukko0 Thank you sir
Zaofu or the Desert would be my picks. Preferably the Desert. There's just something interesting about that idea.
Would be interesting! In the future Zaofu is now a major world city!

Interesting theory…
Did kyoshi have a partner?
@@Plaeguyep! she has a girlfriend, her name is rangi

The theory has been debunked
Maybe the way they find the new Avatar would be like the first time Aang went into the Avatar state. Something very emotional happened that triggers the state and someone recorded it happening. The State and recording would be a good way to bridge together the past and present too
I mean, they could just get a spirit to identify them... or ask one. Remember, they can detect Raava 😅 my theory, is that Jinora will detect korra's energy in the new person and confirm it by asking a spirit if they detect Raava
They did that for Kyoshi
Of topic:In the ep. Jet Katara made a hat for Jet when she still liked him but he never weares it, insted you can see Aang wearing it in the background which foreshadows their relationship
Another issue that is going to complicate things further is the fact that there are now blended societies. Starting with the colony of Yu Dao, people from different nations are intermarrying and forming mixed populations. The earth bender avatar may be born in republic city because one of their parents is originally from the earth kingdom. I also suspect that some of the water bending avatars came from the foggy swamp which made it harder to locate them.
any avatar can be born in republic city not just earth so it will probably getted added in the locating mehood of every nation
Kyoshi herself was mixed race!
I guess you could use both as when Korra dies, there's still the chance she could've fallen in battle, making time more or less approximate. In case where TOD can not be made exact, you can then use the "relic" trick to narrow down to the one based on birth records from that specific day
Ngl I feel like the Korra will tell the next avatar that he needs to bring his past lives back so I’m pretty sure he’ll accomplish that

Tokyo? Avatar is inspired on anime and Asian culture
I like this channel it keep the avatar franchise a little bit alive cause we havent really got something nice after LOK
The yangchen books are so good!!!! I’m reading the first one currently and I love it
the creators have definitely mentioned working on a next avatars series, they mentioned it in the podcast but I feel that the next avatar will be around 50-60 years after Koreas season, will be way more modern but not as futuristic as people are thinking not totally cyberpunk but have to remember the avatar world is changing more modern but including more spirits . and my guess is that Korea won't live as long but not too short either I think she will pass around late 60's 70's also excited to see the new avatar connect and speak with Korra
Nope he will not be able to speak with korra
@@Uh_0h_zillaI think he will be able to speak with Korra, but only Korra (at least at first.) I think the connections had basically a hard reset.

I meant to add that this was written by Korra.
And maybe that's meant to be a way to have this generation be different from the others. Hm.
Hmmm 🤨 okay that would be interesting so they would fight jets
Imagine an avatar that could bloodbend, lavabend, metalbend, lightningbend, combustionbend and fly
About half of those are unlikely. Bloodbending is illegal, Combustionbending has no available teachers, and Flight requires letting go of your Earthly Tether. That wouldn't happen. Especially for an Earth Avatar.
Yeah
@@joesunday199blood bending could still be learnt and used if needed, combustionbend is still workable cus it’s still known and people could still practice it, and flying would probably be the only one that an avatar would never learn cause it would take away their ability to bend earth but there may be other ways to fly

If there is a record of how the second avatar was discovered then they could use that method for the next one after Korra.
BRO LOVE THE MUSIC CHOICE. SNORTING WORMS BRO
I mean it there is a chance that it dose not take place in the future, cause Korra has a 1920s vibe so 70 years in the future would be a 90s esthetic
I agree the first option seems more likely to happen. I loved the video! :)

You're wrong. Szeto is the worst@@Andre-c6z
If it does take place in a futuristic city then it would be hard cuz there would be less earth
If the Earth Federation is ever going to be a villain in the next Avatar series it's also possible that they find the Avatar before anyone else does and capture it and put into an underground lab so they can train him without any one able to reach the Avatar and eventually use as a weapon (obviously is gonna rebel against them)
When korra goes in the avatar state she's in danger but when aang goes in the avatar state he is the danger
this is a W fr
And to be honest, I really hope they make series about the previous avatars as well
When harmonic convergence happened and people got airbending randomly, my first thought was many people would probably think the avatar died and the person with the two elements is the next avatar. Especially since it's like the 1920s and there was no internet to communicate the avatar is still alive
2:20 You're a very handsome guy!
It's possible they could base the future of the Earth Kingdom on China, where there are very technologically advanced mega cities, but very rural areas. The idea of being able to track everyone born may not be likely. If the next Avatar was born in a small village, he'd likely go somewhere larger to train to learn the other elements.
Hopefully Korra lived a long long life with asami 🥰
You forget about the dark avatar and the connection to the Spirit world. They will probably have the dark avatar in charge of a lot of the world so its not going to be an easy find. It will probably have to be a race for which side will find them. But it will probably be a new kinda technology that scans the area for signs of spirits. As the avatar is one of the few people who have a Spirit inside of them, it should be an easy find when they narrow down to a city.
Hiya your thumbnail made me (a grown ass man) cry
K thanks BYE
For finding the next avatar, maybe they could use a combination of the two methods that you mention at the end
Imagine that in the new series, first season is about two (or myb more) friends. BUT the reveal who is the avatar is at the end of the first season and not in the beginning.
On an unrelated note, it would also be cool if the new series explored what happened to the sand benders and foggy swamp tribe.
But something happens to the real avatar and he/she is suddenly bending fire all of sudden and whoever is around is like, wait: "I thought you were an earthbender?" and then the dominos fall from there
A real world test for the avatar would be appropriate
i hope in the next avatars movie/ show he finds a way to unlock the memories of the previous avatars that kora got of
I truely hope the past avatars will get their connections restored back to Rawa somehow so the old avatar circle will prevail again.
Just make the next Avatar where they're going to find all the old avatars somehow reconnect the link because energy is not destroyed
What if the next Avatar(s) are twins? Each bending two elements and only together they can use the avatar state, for example. They could be born while their parents are traveling, and due to an accident they are then separated. One growing up in Republic City, the other among elemental bending & more or less sentient animals.
That isn't possible. Raava can't be split.
Can’t wait.
I like the idea but I don’t this is just becoming a Star Wars in avatar last airbender universe
@@dumitrulangham1721 I mean I am sure lots people were a bit hesitant on the setting change for Korra but we'll have to see about this one
A Cyberpunk Avatar world is crazy
Well we don’t know if the next avatar show will happen but if it does I might or might not be good and might be a small series plus it might be very bad if it is cyber punk for this franchise is fantasy
Like Yang Chen Korra didn't need to be tested.
I think a completely modern day Avatar would be cool like maybe one from this century
Finding the next avatar will be easy since the spirits also live in human world.they could just ask spirits to find the avatar
the question is, in a cyberpunk world with all that technology, and hight tech weapons. how much do they even care about the avatar? what if some even see him as a dread, searching for another reason. Form Korras time to Cyberpunk, feels like there is a gab.

The world of Kora recalls the interwar period so looking at what changes have taken place in our world in 80 years, it may be similar in the world of avatars. The new avatar may be the next one after Kora. But that's just a theory.
i feel like the next avatar after korra will be able to reconnect the past lives to rava kind of like righting the wrong of korra in a way
I do have to say; while in Roku's story telling of his death; the transition was instantaneous its not proven that it happens at the exact same time; he just says 'and then you were born' which leaves the writers the option to allow for time passing, or for the transition to be instantaneous currently there is not a moment where the writers have outright stated how soon after death the rebirth takes place.
Thoughts on this?
heres how the math in my head works out:
Korra is 21 at the end of Book 4; If we are generous and give her an additional 70 years of life, she will pass away at 91 years.
I hope to see the next Avatar somehow redeem the connection to the Avatars before Korra
KING
actually, there is still room for error with the method of comparing korra's time of death to a newborn's time of birth. Korra might not die in the hospital and therefore the time of death might vary a few minutes to maybe even several hours. On the other hand, the new avatar could also not be born in a hospital, posing the same problem of the time being off ever so slightly.
There is a third option, the spirits themselves will identify the avatar going forward
The dude could liquefy earth that level of advanced earth bending isn’t common
The second method wouldn’t work unless the entire world kept rigorous hospital records like that. If the setting is one where only one or a few places are advanced steampunk with many other places still more backward technologically, then there’s no guarantee the next avatar will be born in one of the places with big hospitals and accurate records of times of birth.

1. It'll look like Asami
2. It'll be born in the Earth kingdom
I wish it wasn’t in like a cyberpunk world. I wish it was just like a more modern version of the world. They had kind of like what they did with Korra
7:11 The next avatar could also be born in the Earth kingdom and his or her family moves to republic city
The thought that aang is dead and every one of his gang is old broke my heart but kora being dead does not touch me in no way
Well I think the advancement of Republic City over the years stemmed from Zuko’s desire to restore the honor of the Fire Nation and by allowing both Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom citizens to live together, the city progressed greatly, especially in later years and the Air Nation’s return. Man, I think watching the new series will be sad to the fans considering how most of the characters from Korra’s story are dead and well I don’t need to talk about Aang’s cast.
