Is Aang the most important Avatar in history? It's likely between him, Korra and Wan. Aang ending the hundred year war and creating republic city are huge. He also brought back energy bending. That said, oth Wan and Korra prevented 10k years of darkness. Wan created the concept of the Avatar. Korra brought back the Air Benders (in large numbers), brought spirits back to the world, and has given the world the most powerful version of Raava we've ever seen. Precisely my friend. Korra brought back Raava to it's Original Size and of course the Power considering Vatuu's absence, this would mean that the New generations of avatars after Korra would becomes extremely powerful to the Old one.
@@ExelArtsthere’s no shame in needing help. Even the avatar, whom is dealt with handling the burdens of several nations and two worlds. They can’t do it all alone
Aang's Fight against Bumi predicted Aang's Fight against Ozai. Aang's natural instincts was to run away as an airbender, till he decided to fight back. That's when Ozai's Skill vs a 12 year old boy's newly acquired techniques was on display. But Bumi's words kicked in after Aang went avatar state. "Hopefully one day when you face ozai, you find a crazy way to defeat him!" And so he did. Encased him in stone like Bumi did Sokka and Katara and took his bending away. Wonder why his 1st son is named Bumi. Aang really only went on the offensive when he went Avatar State, which gave him the boosted experience he needed from his past lives with each element. He ducked dodged, and counterattacked ozai's onslaught for 20 minutes. It really was a fight between a karate kid and a grown man on flaming steroids.
Crazy that you say that btw he did master the avatar state and by lore one of the things you need to master the avatar state is mastering the other elements you people just say stuff for no reason 😂
@@tyronejohnson2453 the avatar state does not apply to learning the full techniques of bending. Aang never mastered the elements at 12, he mastered them later in his life. He only learned the elements at 12 enough to be able to fight Ozai, you could see in the fight that he still wasn't using the elements like a real master. There is a difference between learning a technique and mastering it. I used to do martial art and I know what it is to be able to learn and then master something
he mastered air, water, earth and was proficient enough in fire bending. also mastered the avatar state all in the span of a year and at the age of 12. some of y'all would say he didn't master earth bending because toph said it could still need some work but forget that toph is literally the greatest earth bender in the world and by her standards, she wouldn't consider aang a master but to literally any other earthbender, he is a master. remember how he manhandled the dai li agents who spent thier whole lives mastering earthbending. Aang mastered all except fire I don't get why y'all want like downplaying that achievement
@@odemenaasaba2341 aang didn't master the avatar state until after he defeated oza,the creators literally said that....and also he didn't master all the elements at 12
This is my last comment. Maybe. Oh also spoilers (kinda?). Aang truly was a candle that burned brightly. Definitely one of the brightest among avatars. However, this ties in with the saying, “The flame that burns Twice as bright burns half as long.” ― Lao Tzu, Te Tao Ching...
My love for Avatar is greater than ever I mean the last Airbender, it hurts not to see that it ended at season 3.. Fans still want to watch the adult Avatar the last Airbender🎉..
I mean zuko was in the right in the first comic dude, he wasn't losing it. It was him that insisted, not Aang in the beginning. He was all for it to separate the nations, and it was only til he saw it from zuko's perspective that he realized that turning to the past for advise all the time wasn't going to be in service of what they were hoping to build for the future.
i need everyone to understand that if aang stayed with the air benders when the firenation attacked, he would have been dead too. it was the day of the comet, all air bending masters literally got burned. Aang hadn't mastered any other element. He would have been killed to. Although there could be an arguement that if he went into the avatar state he could have made a difference. However, he wouldn't know how to control it, and that could be dangerous. it was all destinys doing, in my opinion
So first off thank you for making this video. Second, I wish they would have made this into an animated season as a perfect transition to what we see in Legends of Korra. Third, the whole idea behind the continuous problems that each avatar faces when trying to be the balance between everything is that 1.) not even someone as powerful as the avatar can make change happen on their own 2.) they keep trying to find the right answer when their is no such thing as the "right answer." If you notice the best outcomes come from when Aang develops a compromise that is equally beneficial to all parties such as the spirit festival, which integrated progress (new) and tradition (old) by honoring tradition and celebrating progress. As we can see throughout history and this master piece of a show, compromises aren't perfect either and there is often one or more parties dissatisfied. The tragedy is that even when one side gets what they want it still is not enough or not "right." People who are focused on dissatisfaction cannot find satisfaction. Avatar does an outstanding job illustrating each of these points through its characters and story development. On a less mind-bending note the music and animation in the show is amazing. I love the art style.
I don't blame Aang for prioritizing Tenzin over his other kids. If Tenzin, the only other person other than himself with the ability to Airbend wasn't good at Airbending, every Avatar after him would never be able to learn Airbending ever again and the art would truly be lost.
Yeah, but because Avatar Szeto gave the Fire Nation so hope and prosperity for literally hundreds of years after he died, they felt like they needed to share how amazing the Fire Nation was with the rest of the world. Unfortunately, that led to what would eventually be known as the hundred-year war and the genocide of the air nomads. But there is no way Avatar Szeto could have seen all that coming.
To all those kids saying aang was 178 never payed attention in math class They said HE LIVED to 66 but he was 12 years old so that means he grew up to be 66 not ADDING 12 to 66 which is 78 they never said he lived to 78, god these kids are dumb, and Plus the 100 years will be 66
Most avatars took years to fully develop a control over the other 3 elements, korra also took it a while to be able to airbend even though being able to cotrol the other 3 in a young age. Aang is already a master airbending the time he started learning the other 3 elements and was able to use 4 elements within a year of training and forgot to mention his spirit connection is also top tier at a young age. Before his death he already prepared a guidance for Korra ( thru the White Lotus) which already paved way for Korra to fully "master" 4 elements. Korra didnt need to look for these masters and fully focus on trainig in her time in the water tribe.
You Entertaining me with your mindless narrative. To be honest Korra kicked Amon sending him outside the Arena exposing him to the people. This scene where Korra was Bloodbend by Amon fully not just psychic bending and Korra literally had extreme resilience against it and fought back. keep this Facts in your empty dictionary qoute and quote 'brain' Korra fought to Amon's bloodbending without any assistance not Even the Avatar state. While Aang almost died to yakone's bloodbending, he can't even barely moved his body not until the Avatar state defense mechanism triggers and he was finally saved. Without the Avatar he's nothing by know adding that he was Old perhaps at his prime that time. The audacity you have to compared Korra to Aang is just biased keep also this that korra when she's fighting Amon's bloodbending and kicked his Ass she's just a teenager.
@@handey1 She was getting rekt by that one air bender.. and ang had to give her avatar state again.. THEN she bailed and left the spirit portals open to go with her gf.. worst avatar ever. I agree that Aang wasn't the best dad. But from the sounds of things, he was a good dad. His priorities just shifted to Tezin in order to restore a culture and nation. He felt guilt, sorrow and more to what happened and wanted to fix that. It was just unfortunate that as soon as he found out Tenzin was an Airbender his focus shifted.

Appa also had the tattoos that he was a master of airbending. He was spiritually connected to Aang, which means that Aang used some of his lifeforce to also keep Appa alive.
Literally no other avatar has been in the avatar state for too long much less for more than a week. So yeah Aang is literally the most accomplished of them all in holding the avatar state.
And korra couldn’t even bend 4 elements at 16 and couldn’t even master the avatar state at 16. Aang at almost 13 was able to bend ALL the elements proficient enough, learned energy bending and to top it all off, MASTERED THE AVATAR STATE. So I ask you, what’s your point? Because if you’re a Korra Stan, you’re making it worse because aang without ‘mastering’ earth bending LITERALLY had better earth feats than korra especially season 1-3 so what does that tell us on korra’s earth bending? Or somehow you’d say she mastered it?😂😂
No he did not only just master all the elements and more at only just 12 years of age but also did it in a short time frame. More being that he mastered sensing the vibrations in the earth, redirecting lighting and energy bending.
I am hopeful that the Netflix show will actually go beyond the original animated show and include stories covered in this video from the comics. Then it could actually seamlessly transition into the Legend of Korra too!
I think the most important avatar was the first bro created a whole new life and also korra literally saved the world multiple times she was almost the last avatar twice and she lost connection with the past avatars she created a new era where spirits and humans could be together and opened a new spirit portal

That's how weak she is
i feel like 'aangs a bad dad' is seen as a major negative, it isn't, he IS a bad dad, he played favorites and put his work ahead of his kids, BUT that doesn't mean he was a bad person, or a bad avatar, and of course he loved his kids, when we say 'bad' we mean he wasn't perfect, so many times shows parents we followed when they were young like Aang were perfect in EVERY way, but thats not real, being flawed is real, and OF COURSE Aang had NO idea how to be a 'good/perfect' dad, he didnt grow up with parents, he was raised in a collective, why wouldn't he focus on the one kid over the others Gyatso focused on him alone so thats what father figures do right? its a good thing he was a 'bad' dad no one is saying he was abusive or a dead beat, no, he loved all of his kids; just not equally, which i'm sure there are parents out there who can relate XD

Precisely this ATLA fans just can't comprehend this Facts. He just mastered the Air bending of course it's his main Elements but the other elements he didn't, it's safe to say he just learned them.
@@handey1 He was still a prodigy and learned each element in a single day. So its stands to reason he went on to master each one extremely quickly as well.
I STRONGLY disagree with the statement at 4:53 . Ang was a great Air Bender. But without the wisdom he gained from different characters, creatures and past Avatars during his journeys......he would have been dusted. And they would have to wait YEARS to allow the new Avatar to master the other three bending techniques. So his running, in my opinion, was the best thing he could have done. Like the old adages, "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." Tons of movies do it :Superman killing Doomsday with the spear, Neo sacrificing himself to stop the war, Batman flies the bomb out of the city, Stark taking the nuke to space...
My thoughts: If you could bend anything... What what you want to bend? Me: Time. My thoughts: oh? Well careful with that trap- Me: So that I can slap hindsight right in its smug face! Hey if I don't know the answer for a better outcome I'm not attempting it because things could be far worse. My thoughts: Fair enough.

Precisely my friend. Korra brought back Raava to it's Original Size and of course the Power considering Vatuu's absence, this would mean that the New generations of avatars after Korra would becomes extremely powerful to the Old one.
You need to know about Kyoshi!
You forgot about Kuruk then. He also been away to stop the dark spirit from crossing into the real world.

@@ExelArtsthere’s no shame in needing help. Even the avatar, whom is dealt with handling the burdens of several nations and two worlds. They can’t do it all alone
Mastered the 5th element too. Energy bending.
He didn't master all four elements at 12. He only learned enough to be able to bend them, he still had a lot to learn
Exactly it's a Facts that none of the ATLA fans can't scope.

My love for Avatar is greater than ever
I mean the last Airbender, it hurts not to see that it ended at season 3..
Yes! I say the same thing. The way that storm came out of nowhere with the comet also going on, it had to be destiny intervev8ng to save the Avatar.
5:46 Aang and Katara's faces😂❤
That one guy that spend 100 years in cities skylines to make a megalopolis on earth kingdom land
I don't blame Aang for prioritizing Tenzin over his other kids. If Tenzin, the only other person other than himself with the ability to Airbend wasn't good at Airbending, every Avatar after him would never be able to learn Airbending ever again and the art would truly be lost.
Wow wow wow wow wow what book is this I want to read it besides my eye is literally soooo sore
Avatar Szeto is one of the GOATs also...he single handedly saved the downfall of the fire nation not as an Avatar but as a diplomat
Most awesome vid!!!!!
6:17 I love the JJK reference
To all those kids saying aang was 178 never payed attention in math class They said HE LIVED to 66 but he was 12 years old so that means he grew up to be 66 not ADDING 12 to 66 which is 78 they never said he lived to 78, god these kids are dumb, and Plus the 100 years will be 66

I love Aang so much ❤he's my best Avatar ever 🥰
This story should get animated into a series that connects the last airbender to the legend of korra
Nice job
It sucks but let's be honest, Aang needed to die for the legend of Korra. All the enemies Korra faced, Aang could've easily one shot all of them
legend of Korra was a L
And weak as all hell with no technique, literally could only elemental punch. fire punch, then earth, punch, water punch.. im pretty sure she barely knew how to bend.
@@handey1 you really tryna compare teenager Korra to little kid Aang that brought peace to their entire world and then some? Who's the one with an empty dictionary? Korra is like a street fighter but Aang is like Martial artist if I had to compare to real life. Aang has way more refined techniques. Not simply just punching elements with her fists . How many masters and sensei's did Aang have growing up and traveling the world? I lost count. C'mon now, but I do acknowledge your points.

R.I.P AVATAR Aang😭😭😭😭😭
I wish he would master all the avatar state and elements
Literally no other avatar has been in the avatar state for too long much less for more than a week. So yeah Aang is literally the most accomplished of them all in holding the avatar state.
113 year old with 14 year old sounds so good
he didn't master the elements at 12, only airbending and waterbending, he still had to work on earth and fire
Or somehow you’d say she mastered it?😂😂
What about Kyoshi?
Avatar Kyoshi is dead too
No he did not only just master all the elements and more at only just 12 years of age but also did it in a short time frame. More being that he mastered sensing the vibrations in the earth, redirecting lighting and energy bending.
It would be better to make another series a continuation..it is also interesting i guess... Maybe life of previous Avatar's like Kyoshi, Ruko..etc...
Wow they really just had like 2 seconds explaining his death and 660881 hours explaining everything else
I am hopeful that the Netflix show will actually go beyond the original animated show and include stories covered in this video from the comics. Then it could actually seamlessly transition into the Legend of Korra too!
I think the most important avatar was the first bro created a whole new life and also korra literally saved the world multiple times she was almost the last avatar twice and she lost connection with the past avatars she created a new era where spirits and humans could be together and opened a new spirit portal
and people be debating who has better feats 😂

i feel like 'aangs a bad dad' is seen as a major negative, it isn't, he IS a bad dad, he played favorites and put his work ahead of his kids, BUT that doesn't mean he was a bad person, or a bad avatar, and of course he loved his kids, when we say 'bad' we mean he wasn't perfect, so many times shows parents we followed when they were young like Aang were perfect in EVERY way, but thats not real, being flawed is real, and OF COURSE Aang had NO idea how to be a 'good/perfect' dad, he didnt grow up with parents, he was raised in a collective, why wouldn't he focus on the one kid over the others Gyatso focused on him alone so thats what father figures do right? its a good thing he was a 'bad' dad no one is saying he was abusive or a dead beat, no, he loved all of his kids; just not equally, which i'm sure there are parents out there who can relate XD

This type of content is the only good thing to come from the live action
Just a quick question man how u know all this stuff? Like there is a book or smth or what?
The title says this is about the death of the strongest avatar, but this isn't about Kyoshi at all.
