Great that you are reviewing more affordable options to journey the world. This is awesome! I have had a CRF300 Rally lately. You do not need anything, you do not need crasbars, the plastic tiles are enough, they have had scratches but did not brake on the TET, would not add anything on the Honda. The plastic parts are cheap. Even on paved road the bike was down-> nothing broken, nothing, behind the black parts is a huge void! Imho it makes no sense to push a 7k bike to 10k, than get (used) a T7! The Honda does nicely on the autobahn. Range: Endless! (2.8l/100km) For your size though, if you need to change suspension (not just preload) it is not a good choice, get another bike... The price of the Voge is .... awesome, but it needs long-term experience, the qualities of a CRF (Itchy Boots!) no more words needed.... Cheers!
just did my first 1000km on the Voge 300 Rally. I sat on both the honda crf 300 Rally and this one in a showroom. The Honda is 3000 euro more, (4800 against 7800 euro) (key in hand, incl reg in my name) but, and this was the clincher for me : the Voge has a 5 year warranty in Portugal. . Basic maintenance material you can order from ali. There are many spanish vlogs on the Voge. 10.000 km without any problems. Others really torture it in real Rally conditions. Used, with 6000 km and years of warranty, they still fetch 3600 euro. Con: over 90kmh they vibrate a lot. Another sprocket and it gets you up to 110kmh , a smooth ride. ("they" say) Perfect for mountains and backroads. The Honda has a larger tank/range. 280km against 400.
Hi. I am 13000 km on the clock. Just finished 4500 km tour. No problem. No rattles no loose nut, nothing. If you keep rev on 6000 rpm and sometimes over while taking over consumption is no less than 4 lt/100km. Didn't change sprocket. But shift pedal is a must.
Hi I have recently bought the Voge 300 rally, I'm 5'7'' yes it's a tall bike but because it's light 158kg and a narrow seat it's very easy to ride, for a low budget trail bike for green laning/off road it's very good suspension is good much better rear than the Honda crf, tyres are not bad but if really muddy off road you would needs nobbys. I've ridden many dual sport bikes including Suzuki Dr800, KTM 990, KLR650, Maico 440, Suzuki 250 and recently Kove 450 rally which is £8500 in the UK. Now for value for money you definitely won't be disappointed with the Voge 300 rally at £4054 on the road UK. it's great off road try one.
A feedback from owner. 13 k and no problems. Mostly greenlaining and recently 4500 km tour ride. Oiled chain every 600 km. Regular maintenance (i do it myself) , rear brakepads changed. Stock tires. Stock tires are not good on wet tarmac. But they are still good condition. No slack on the chain even. Sometimes my horn stopped working. Cleaned the mud. Worked again. Shift lever must be changed with a longer one. Hard to use it with boots.
Hi @tamayaytam, i am looking at one of these for long distance ADV riding (100s of miles on road, then 100s of miles off road), e.g. doing the Pyrenees ACT from the UK (you have long road rides there and back to do the ACT). How did you find the bike on your 4500 km tour ride? What kind of speeds were you touring at? What kind of tank range did you get? Thanks.
@roybailey4529 between the cities i rode at 7000 rpm on 90 km/h mostly. This is the most comfortable speed for bike imho. My sprocket is stock. Top speed is 130 ish. I sometimes went over 120 km/h while overtaking. Best thing is whatever the ascend is bike never looses torque. 90 km/h all the way. The seat gave me some irritation at first and my shoulders hurt on long rides more than 4 hours. Every 200 km i refilled the gas tank. It took almost 7 to 8 liters. Therefore on 6 to 7 k rpm rides bike consumes almost 4 liters per 100 km. Bike's tyres are not good for wet conditions. I oiled the chain every 5 or 6 hundred km.
I find the bike more than adequate. I don't think if i had biger or pricer one i could have done anything different or easy. I saw some 1000 cc bikers on the road. They were only 30 km/h faster than me. Because the road and traffic didn't let more than that. In my country i don't have access to luggage racks. They would have been helpful. I had only a topcase installed. I stayed at the hotels though. I traveled light.
@@tamayaytam thanks for that, really useful. Just to ensure I understand correctly, are you saying that with the stock gearing, 90KM/H is 7000RPM in the 6th gear? And thanks for the other info on fuel and tyres! 🙂 Be good to know the revs on stock gearing at 100KM/H and 110KM/H of you knew.
The Voge 300 looks really interesting. After I had to part with my Tenere 700, I've been thinking a bit about a second bike that doesn't have as much power as my new Versys 1000. This would give me off-road capability and a cheap vehicle to maintain. I can then ride it with another T7. Thank you for your Video :)
I have been riding for over 40yrs have riden many different bikes including off road and enduro racing, I recently bought a Voge 300 rally these bikes are not of Chinese bikes of the past, it's very comfy light, handles pretty good with the standard tyres isn't to bad off road absolutely great value for money £4054 inc on the ride in the UK. No regrets I also ride a Moto Guzzi v85tt.
@@ogasi1798 ok,wich country ? Here in Germany it is difficuld to purchase simple wear parts like brakepads and chainkits. Not even speaking about an ECU or Engine components.
It's best to keep your eye on what is failing on this bike already... electrics/ wheel bearings, etc plus all the other upgrades people are doing. It's best to treat it as a light off roader than a full on enduro machine. The warranty is quite tight on after market parts fitted so be warned,
I just sold my 300l to get a more powerful naked bike again, since I was mostly riding on the road anyway. But at that price point the Voge is really tempting as a second bike and you would not have to be so careful with it, even the suspension is much better than the one on the Honda from what I've heared. It would be great if Voge made a lighter and simpler version, without the windshield and with a smaller fuel tank and head light. I dont need the range on a bike like that.
About nuts rattleing loose I had an Keeway 125 for 6 years ( did 30k km with it),nuts and bolts getting loose was a common problem, but do be honest it never was that big of a deal, i just had to check the main bolts from time to time to see if every thing was ok, or even use loctite on some of the more troublesome ones. If this bike has the same problem, for me at least would't be a deal breaker
Rode a crf250l for a year with all possible power mods / suspension / great tires for it but there's just no way around it being to damn slow. 29 ponies is going to feel about the same. Test rode a drz 400 and hooked on that now, really pulls with its 40hp and about the same weight. The only place the 250L engine felt sufficient was on the trails, and i weigh about 80kg with gear and all.
What about dealer/service network and the supply of parts? I would not trust in a brand that might be gone again next year, like many chinese car brands in europe did in the past.
Hi and thanks for the video. Last year I was interested in the Voge but stumbled over the lack of legal tires? I read in the Voge forum that only 3.00/ 5.10 inch tires are in the papers and no metric size. I checked the market and found one cross type tire. Not suitable for my needs ... Or has Voge added some metric ones in the meantime? Of course you can go to your approval engineer (TÜV, Dekra,...) and add them by yourself ... But on a new bike the maker should be aware of.
