A good explanation for the applling driving standrds in Britain today.
The driving instructor would have got through that easily if he had his wipers on full speed. Some people just havent got a clue, but he didn't intend to get stuck and looked like he was starting to get hypothermia. Well done to our rescue services 😁

You should do a video about this, Ashley! The standards of driving instructors these days are horrible. There should be some kind of association formed for the few good ones with guaranteed levels of standards. Paying good money to an idiot like this to teach you how to drive is fraud...
That driving instructor needs his licence taking off him if he thought that was safe to drive through let alone being able to teach people to drive. Also when someone is willfully driving into water that insurance companies shouldn't pay out.

There's two ways of dealing with water this deep...
1. Slow & steady - DO NOT make a bow wave,
2. Forget it. Turn around & find another way.
Driving through it like there isn't an issue will create what can only be described as 'a situation'.
Perhaps going through backwards might not induce water into the engine.

Forget taxes; that is an Ambulance that is now not available to take critially ill people to hospital.

Was the driving instructor drunk, or was that a serious case of hypothermia? How long had he been sitting there?
The Fire and Rescue service did a risk assessment and decided it was too risky to take part in, so a civilian had to extract the sidelight.
Other than the divvy driving instructor, SuperVan got me, setting the standards that others follow. 😂
It's impressive the first car go as far is it did, before failing.

Well done guys for doing the emergency services' jobs for them while they tried to find an expert. This country is seriously on its knees but people like you still give me a little hope all is not lost.
at first i thought the editing was jumbled up, but nope, the fireman walked to the car and left. fucking embarrassing it was left to some random members of public to 'rescue' the guy whilst they stood about.
The locals should demand a refund of their council tax that funds them.
The fireman actually stood and watched, something about Health and Safety. The lady could not get out the car because of the door lock. Lucky the guy in the waders knew how to manually over ride the door control so it would open.

I lived in a town called Lechlade in Gloucesterahire in 2007. Never forget how the entire town came together to help each other out. We worked 2 days straight to help people save their houses and belongings. Damn good people the British.

I was so amazed by the bravery on display by that fireman at the end there walking the driving instructor out of the 5cm deep water. THAT is truly putting your life on the line to help others..
I am so pleased that there are idiots like you to make ignorant comments. There were two people already on site properly equipped for going into deep water with chest waders. What purpose would it have served for the fireman also to have gone into the water when there was no risk to the drivers life.

So it appears that the driving instructor was rescued by 2 members of the public despite all those ‘Emergency Services’ folks in attendance. I expect they were all too busy doing risk assessments before they even dared think about the bloke stuck in his car in cold water.
Even the emergency services can’t escape health and safety,they’ll be sacked and lose their pension.
If only he had the common sense to just get out of the car instead of sitting in freezing cold water and calling 999 and waiting for someone else to come and solve his own problems 🤯
